Just returned from our Bank holiday break at this site. Reception area was hard to find - would benefit from signage to the reception when you enter the site. Incredibly noisy - its was still noisy with radios blaring out at 11.Oopm! On the second night we asked reception if there was a curfew with regards to noise and they advised it was 10.30 so they said they would drive around at that time and ask everyone to simmer down - however this did not happen. People were turning up to pitch-up as late as 10.30 at night - It was also very over-crowded. There were three showers of which one was out of order so there was a constant line of people waiting to use the shower. Area for disposing of chemical toilet waste was blocked.

We stayed on the campsite for the first time last weekend, had an absolutely brilliant time. We were shown to our pitch by a very friendly member of staff and found the pitch to be very spacious, not hemmed in like some campsites. We were pitched close to railway line, which was not a problem since I love trains and hardly noticed any noise. Campsite was very quiet at night with no rowdiness that we could hear. Shower block and toilets were very clean and no queues here. Also brilliant location as its very near to local pubs and shops and not very far to drive into chichester itself. On the downside we did feel that the rubbish area although sited far away from pitches could do with a little tidying up. All in all a brilliant weekend, the weather helped, weve booked again for next month.

Quite a large site which is divided roughly into 3 fields. Have stayed here several times in the last few years as its fairly close to where my grown up kids live and it's quite cheap. Only one loo/shower block and it can sometimes get quite congested meaning long waits to use the facilities. They are regularly cleaned but check there is enough loo roll or take your own!
There are a number of seasonal campers and few electric hookups available so best to check in advance. Cafe does a good reasonably priced breakfast for those that can't be bothered! Pub just down the road sells good (But not cheap) local ales and there is also a chinese restaurant/takeaway within walking distance. Easy access to Chichester, Goodwood, Portsmouth etc, cheap and cheerful no frills site that I will probably keep using.

Being a 'group' - not wanted by some sites, and booking late we were happy to find a site for the end of May long weekend.
No problem finding the place. Reception was easily found, but note that there are two entrances, one of which leads straight into the site. Use the one in 'Inlands Road', I believe it is called, and reception is right there.
We were allocated a site in the field away from the railway line, so no noise problems. The only problem we found was rocky ground close to the surface which bent a fair few tent pegs. A few minutes walk to Chichester caravans on the main road soon solved this with the purchase of a few solid steel pegs. Chichester Caravans also supplies Camping Gaz and has a well stocked accessory shop (though obviously targeted at caravans).
The camp site appeared busy, but there were no problems with cleanliness of toilets and showers. Showers are coin operated with 20p giving around 6 minutes - ample for a good shower. As the site is right next door to the Camping and Caravanning Club site, I would guess it has a bit of competition.
Shops in the form of Co-Op and Tesco Extra are close by. And don't forget the site's own cafe, which serves a good breakfast.
I definitely would return to this site.

Site was easy to find, but comments about reception not signposted were justified. Facilities clean and effective. Train line really wasn't a problem, infact as a train went passed when we first arrived we decided as it was fairly quiet, that we would rather pitch at that end of the site away from the mish mash of other peoples set ups. Our only criticisms would be that there were alot of longterm setups pitched and some where very obviously unattended and had been for quite sometime, in fact one set up close to us seemed to be used for storing bits of motorcycles and looked a bit like a scrapyard. My only other gripe was that the electricity hook ups seemed to be spurred off of one point for several pitches, many times we had to run over to the fusebox to reset the supply, not ideal on a cold frosty morning , but I guess everyone had their heating on! Apart from that a good site, at relatively good value for money.

What a lovely, well kept site. Facilities were outstanding, staff very friendly. The pub next door was a little old fashioned and unfriendly, but the food wasn't bad. We had plenty of space and the grounds were immaculately kept by the staff. There were plenty of nice walks from the site. We would definitely use this site again and recommend it to anyone.

Really nice site. We were a large group 5 tents and a camper (12 people and 2 dogs) so were in the field . The site has a 'any one can come' policy . Which is great when you are a big group (some sites are funny about large groups). We had a little bit of trouble with a group of younger campers at the other end of the field who got drunk, playing very loud music, shouting abuse and driving their car around the field and revving it up near our tents. (mainly because we did not want to party with them). No body in caravans very near by seemed bothered. They did leave the next day so that evening we knew it would not happen again. So you have to draw your own conclusion from that. We were also playing music at night but not loudly and once you walked away from our tents you really could not hear it. Dogs were not a problem but some were off the lead . The horses were cute! The train is hardly noticeable if you are at the other end of the field. The bins were over flowing and perhaps they should introduce recycling but lack of bins near the tents is not a problem as it's not far to walk to them. The showers and toilets were very clean and 6 mins of hot water for 20p is a bargain. The owner was really friendly and nice and made sure we had our hook up for the camper. I would go there again. Considering what we paid it's a top site and highly recommended . After all if we wanted quiet after 11pm then we'll go to a Camping Club site. as for the surrounding area I recommend East Wittering beach at 4pm . Arundel . Fishbourne etc etc. It's a beautiful part of England . I'll be back .

The family that runs were very very friendly on our arrival and shown to our pitch, The facilities were clean but basic, only one sink to do washing up but this was not a problem for us as we done our dishes in our tent because we had hook up. The showers operated on 20p pieces which gave you 5 minutes , which we felt was good value and just long enough to do what you needed to do. Cafe very very friendly and good value two mugs of coffee £1.00. Free snooker was a good thing as the weather was very very bad, rained most of the time but that is the British weather for you. The Railway line runs the length of the campsite but this did not caused us any problems. Lot of nice walks in the area good for spotting wild life we saw cook coo and deer etc. We will be returning very soon

We spent 3 nights here at the beginning of may. when we arrived we had trouble finding the reception (maybe needs to be signposted). we booked in at the bungalow on the left hand side as soon as you turn into the site. The family that run the site were very friendly on our arrival and directed us to the camping field were we were told to pick our site anywhere on the field. there is a railway line that runs the length of the site to the rear, you cant really escape it , however this did not bother us as the trains didnt seem to run on the sunday or bank holiday monday. You will need plenty of rock pegs if like us you are pitching a tent. We found that the pegs would go into the ground so far then hit rocks and it caused us many a bent peg. The facilities were clean but basic. Only 1 washing up sink, to service the whole site. The site was not hugely busy so this was not a problem for us however it might cause problems in the summer when site is more busy. Dont rely on the on site shop for your food stuff as it seemed to have only 3 or 4 small shelves. We found the local farm shops and the village co-op that was only a 10 min walk a far better idea. The showers operate on 20p which gives you about 5-6 mins, which we felt was good value. There was plenty of room for our three children to play. This was only our second ever camping trip and we enjoyed it and would go back to this site again in the future.

Spent 2 nights at this site. Reception area was not obvious to new arrivals. We had to ask where it was located - needs to be signed. The site was sufficient for our needs as we tend to spend out days out and about. Had trouble getting the shower in the ladies to warm up but my husband had no trouble in the gents shower. There could be more rubbish containers dotted around the site as the only ones there were overflowing, especially as the site was not too busy - you can only imagine if it was. We left one night early - though only due to a dog fouling right outside the door of our tent. The rules state that dogs need to be kept on leads, but this needs to be policed more thoroughly (especially when, like us, you have children). But all in all, the site was fine and we were happy with our stay!
