Ideal stopover when heading up or down M6. We were there midweek and it was very quiet. Good facilities and lovely owner.

Nice walks locally and short walk to nice village pub. There are probably buses to Garstang but we didn't investigate.

We will return.

We have just come back from a weekend at this lovely quirky site.

To say it is peaceful is not enough it is so quiet and the weather was superb. The lady owner is so friendly and helpful couldn't do enough for us.

The showers and toilets were spotless and she had good toilet paper(not rubbish). Will book again asap. Thanks Penny.

A little piece of heaven! A well maintained, clean & welcoming site in an idyllic setting. Peace & tranquillity in abundance.

Pet friendly with great dog walks close by along the river.

Cleanliness exceeds expectation and although there are only two showers this did not cause an issue at any time. It's a small, homely site with all the necessary facilities and a strong conservation ethic.

The Grapes pub a short walk from the site is traditional and friendly with great, home cooked food realistically priced.

The quaint church across the river creates a tranquil vision in this beautiful village. The site is a short drive to the hustle and bustle of Blackpool and Fylde coast but feels a million miles away.

Will go back again and again. Wonderful!

This is the perfect small site for bird lovers, I was surrounded by bird song all the time.

A helpful and interesting host, very clean shower and loos, lovely peace and quiet, very level site to pitch the tent, easy to find, and a wooded walk along the river to a pretty church.

In short, the ideal camp site.

Wyreside Farm Park feels like a home from home, hidden down a little track, taking you away from the village road, towards the flowing Wyre, which is home to much wildlife, including kingfishers. (When approaching St Michael's from the M6, look out for the 'purple' leaves on the tree at the end of the lane, as you won't be able to see the sign).

This little park feels wonderfully exclusive with just a dozen privately owned static caravans in the front section and about 20 electric on grass pitches arranged around the paddock, usually with a nice mix of tents, caravans and motorhomes. There's lot of space between pitches and huge grassy area in the middle, where hens will strut their stuff throughout the day.

The owner's pretty thatched cottage is surrounded by a beautiful cottage garden with flowers galore attracting butterflies.

Facilities are housed in an old brick building. While there are only two showers (one per gender) this is rarely a problem. The shower rooms each have a loo and wet room shower with lots of room for a chair, hooks for clothes and space for kids to move around if needed- a lovely set-up for families. The loo paper here is not economy stuff, it's softer than I use at home! There's also power sockets available in the washrooms, allowing hairdryers and straighteners to the used in front of big mirrors.

Campers also have access to a washing up room with freezer, and free range eggs for sale from the resident hens. The elsan point is well positioned and easy to use, and a separate hose is available for filling motorhomes.

It's a very short walk along a riverside footpath to The Grapes, a lovely village pub with a wide and deeply reliable menu. All the usual pub classics are on offer, homecooked fresh. But it's the quality of the hand-pulled pizzas than we look forward to after arriving for the weekend.

The Wyre Valley may not be the most touristy part of Lancashire, but it's all the better for it, there's plenty to explore without going to the coast, and if you do, head a little north and see the Blackpool Tower from a safe distance, without entering the bustle of the town itself.

Saving the best for last, the owner Penny is one of the friendliest and most genuine ladies you could wish to meet. Endlessly cheerful and enthusiastic, and very quickly feels like an old friend. Such a charming place to visit, again and again.

This site is very good quality for the money you pay. The site is quiet at night and it is immaculately clean in every aspect.

The owner of the site is very nice and she is often on hand to answer any questions.

All in all this site is well worth a visit.

Just visited this lovely camp site for the first time but it will certainly not be the last. What a gem. Beautiful surroundings spotlessly clean and level site with a brand new shower/toilet block. Rare breed chickens freely wandering about all day.

A separate area for children to play so as not to disturb others. Plenty of room between units and the owner (Penny) always around to help in any way. Within easy reach of the coast and the lovely town of Garstang with it's super Thursday market only a 10 minute drive away.

All in all for a nice relaxing break you would need to go a long way to beat Wyreside Farm.

This was the third site of 3 we visited during our holidays. It was definitely the best. The large field had a small number of hook-ups and even though we arrived on a weekend in August it was not busy. The pitches are huge all on grass which we prefer.

Penny was really helpful and the site is immaculate. The smell of flowers is everywhere.

The showers and toilets were clean and never busy, as was the pot washing area where Penny sells her own produce (jams, pickles etc) for charity.

Just through the trees and through a gate is the River Wyre where you can fish for 4 per day with permit. The area is stunning, so quiet and you could walk for miles. We had a picnic on the banks saw swans, kingfishers and dragonflies.

We didn't have children so I cannot comment on facilities for them, however there were families playing ball in the adjacent field which is set out for this purpose.

I would recommend this site to anybody.

Although there is not a shop in the village (garage sells milk) there is a regular bus to Garstang that has supermarkets, shops, pubs and lovely walks along the canal.

Just returned from this lovely, peaceful little site. Showers (some of the best we've been in) and toilets nice and clean. Penny is very helpful and obviously very proud of her property.

The eggs are delicious and are from happy hens that roam around the site.

Nice walks along the river and Garstang a short bus ride away. Hope to return soon.

Had a lovely stay at Wyreside, the owner is very helpful and runs the site on her own. The shower and toilet block has been updated for this year, more toilets but only one shower per gender.

Its in a lovely area, the staff in the pub in the village (only 10 mins stroll away ) are very friendly and the food is good value, there is a shop about 15 mins walk for all your daily needs.

There is also bus stops 5 mins away where you can get a bus to Blackpool or Garstang which is definitely worth a visit especially the walk along the canal.

If you are looking for a peaceful friendly site but easy access to more energetic areas this is the place, and the owner sells her tasty free range eggs with the profits going to cancer research. We didn't have any children with us but there is plenty of space for them to run around and the hens run free around the site which our grandson would love.

Only one bugbear is that there is nowhere to put shower cream or shampoo whilst in the shower cubicle.
