Just got home from a 3 night stay with family. What a fantastic time we had.
The campsite is brilliantly laid out with loads of space. Really family friendly with a great kids park in the middle. Good location with the coast just 15 minutes down the road.
With two shower blocks, none of our 8 party had to wait at all to shower either in the morning or evening.
Being that it was the summer holidays there were a lot of kids about but come 10. 30 the whole campsite fell blissfully silent.
They even sorted the weather out for us.

We have stayed at Honeybridge several times over the past couple of years as it's fairly local and easy to get to. Sadly though we've noticed a real decline in the facilities lately.
The toilet blocks used to be cleaned twice daily and were spotless, however now they are cleaned once daily and it's really not enough, especially when the campsite if full. There was no toilet roll in the cubicles by the morning and all were filthy and struggling to flush. One of the showers in the newer block has had the same broken lock on it during the few visits we've made this year and a toilet lock has remained broken too.
The couple who have moved to site just to run the cafe and shop are wonderfully friendly and what they supply is enough for emergency supplies and impromptu BBQs. They also do cream teas, jacket potatoes and fabulous bacon sandwiches until quite late in the evening if you don't feel like cooking.
The ground has been very hard lately with regards to pegging out your awning on a hardstanding pitch so bare that in mind when booking.
The A24 is a constant hum but in a caravan it's doesn't sound too bad.
I really hope Honeybridge's owner pulls his finger out soon and addresses some of these issues, after all, they're relatively minor fixes. We've been told that they will no longer be accepting tents from later this year and that most of the touring area will also be converted before long. This is such a shame. It's been a lovely family park with a fabulous atmosphere but I don't feel inclined to visit there any longer.

We stayed here for three nighs from Friday until Monday. The site was very nicely laid out - the pitches were the biggest we have ever had. We had electric, water and waste by our tent which was excellent. The ground was good for tent pegs etc.
There are two toilet blocks, a new modern block and an older block. The older block always seemed far cleaner to me. The new block had lovely showers, very large with a separate section for your clothes so everything didn't get soaked, sink cubicles, 6 toilets, hair dryers, mirrors, soap dispensers and even plug sockets so you can use your own hair dryer/straighteners free of charge.
My only complaint would be is that they are only cleaned once a day. The cleaning is excellent should you use the facilities straight afterwards - however by the night time and the next morning they are dreadful. Toilet paper all over the floor and none in the dispensers and just plain dirty.
There is a useful site shop which stocks essentials, take-away food including home made cakes and even BBQ packs at a very reasonable price.
There seemed to be plenty of rubbish bins around which were emptied daily. There is a lovely play area for the children, right in the middle of the site where you could watch your children play. The lighting around the site at night is also very good. You certainly see plenty of rabbits playing in the grass !
The only thing that spoilt it really was the constant noise of the A24 - boy was it loud - even at 6am ! Overall though we had a lovely weekend away with family and would return (but maybe bring ear plugs for the noise of the A24)

I have just returned from a weekend at this site and had a fabulous time. The site is clean and well maintained, toilets were modern and spotless!
Although the site was completely full up there was lots of space for children and adults to play cricket, football, rounders etc! also there is a large adventure playground for children. I would agree with others about the noise from the A24, which is not so noticeable in the day but at night becomes a constant hum, until the birds drown out the noise at dawn!
I would definitely return though, it was a really child friendly site.

We visited last weekend and I was surprised at how nice the site was. We were over by what is classed as the older toilet block but there is also a more modern block that has a family room (if you pay a little bit more and get a key with a £10 refundable deposit).
My son is 3 and he enjoyed the play area but there wasn't much he could play on. They need to put more younger kids bits in as there is definitely space.
I found the toilet/showers/sinks to be clean. Each sink was given its own cloth and a mop was provided for the showers so you can clean up after you have used it. We went with friends who had a 3 month old so helped her bath her little one in the family room which was ideal. Had a bath, shower, toilet and changing unit.
Didn't use the shop but found that if we drove to Ashington we could use Co-op to buy essentials. We also got an Indian takeaway delivered to site on the first night from a local Indian which was really yummy!
The only downside for us was the noise from the A24. You didn't really notice it during the day but once everyone had gone to bed you could really notice it. The first night we hardly slept due to the traffic but think we were so tired on the second night we slept better.
We would visit again!

Went for a long weekend over the bank holiday. Pitch was a nice size but felt a bit crammed in! People seemed to pitch where they wanted on their pitches rather than centrally so some were very close to each other! You were shown to your pitch but they didn't seem to enforce people pitching centrally.
Good play area for the kids aged 3-7. More for the older ones but still kept them all amused.
Didn't have to queue for showers but they could have been cleaner. One toilet was blocked for nearly 24 hours and there was toilet paper everywhere. It seemed to be only checked once a day. Water was hot and there are hairdryers and plug sockets.
Not enough bins for rubbish and bins were overflowing every day.
Shop quite small but stocked essentials. Did nice homemade cakes and bread pudding.
Cafe is extremely small and couldn't cope with the number of people wanting takeaways. We waited about 30 mins for our breakfast one morning! They seemed to prioritise the people asking for takeaways.
The staff didn't seem to check or be visible at all during our stay apart from in the office. They were fairly helpful when in there but didn't seem to cope well with the volume of visitors that weekend.
Overall a nice site I would imagine when quieter, but we definitely won't be returning on a busy weekend!

After hearing about how good this site being 4* I don't think so
The toilets were very dirty morning and early evening showers too, male and female.
The broken window in the shower/toilet block was not fixed all weekend.
The rubbish point was piled high (these were household bins )not industrial bins which are needed for the volume of people.
Rubbish was left around the site and not collected.
Also that noise from the A24.
Will we come back NO.

Stayed here for 4 nights at the end of May and to tell the truth I'm a bit undecided. It was very peacful and relaxing place, there was a good children's playground but there could have been more for littler ones. My 2 4 yr olds were a bit lost as to what to do as the older children were better suited to the playground and were using it to the full.
The shop is small but does have most of what you need and does hold some basic medicines which is a good idea. The cafe looked OK but never ate in it as it was small 2 tables of 4 and 2 tables of 2 but they did a smaller takeaway menu. When we were there the shop was open 9am to 7pm which is better than the 5pm they said originally.
We only went down to Littlehampton while we were there which has a nice little funfair which is good about 7 to 13 year olds I'd guess.
The main moan I have is the ground on our shingle pitch (65), we couldn't get any pegs in the ground I was using big rock pegs and a club hammer and still they just bent. There was very compacted big stones just under the surface. And quite a few of our neighbours had the same problem.
I think we would stay here again for a quiet weekend but not much longer as there isn't much to do close by for us and 3 kids.

Decided to have a quick weekend away with a friend of mine and her kids - we stayed in one tent. Arrival was good, straight into a clean modern reception and given a swipe card to open a very secure gate. A chap marshalled us to our pitch - which was taken! Strange how that can happen. I don't understand it really.
Anyway, wasn't a problem and we had a new pitch a few pitches away, about 10 feet from the playground.
I have to admit after looking at the pictures here on the website its slightly misleading as this place gets very busy and this weekend (early June, bad weather) was heaving, tents everywhere.
Great kids playground for kids older than babies, would have like a ball game area with it as there was no possibility for some football without bashing other peoples tents - mine were forbidden to play but others kids did and seemed not to care that the were hitting others tents. Lots of people walking between our car and tent to shortcut to the toilets and snagging our guys so we had to box the cars round us.
Washing up area had 2 fridges and 2 freezers for you to put your stuff in.
Toilets - well each time I went in there was toilet paper everywhere, god knows what people were doing with it but it was a mess. Shower was very tidy and very spacious with a shower curtain separating you from your clothes which was great. 1 toilets I tried wouldn't flush and 2 didn't have toilet paper the first time I went in there. I would recommend much more toilet facility work during the days, and change the toilet paper to rolls rather than the sheet dispensers so they reduce the paper mess everywhere.
Cafe was fine, we had a takeaway one night, burger, hot dog etc, was nice and hot, and less than 10 minutes, and a breakfast the next, lovely big full english - very tasty. Shop adequate, has what you need.
All in all its okay, definitely not my favourite site as we like to pitch around a field perimeter but okay for a quick getaway. We are actually going again at the end of the month as a friend is celebrating her birthday there and they cater very well for groups - allowing groups to pitch in a cube style and having centralised day tents for those campers to share - was lots of them this weekend.
Was dreading the night with all the kids and older kids moving into the playground about 10pm but by 10.30 - 10.45 it was silent. Could hear the A24 during the night as a dull noise but not during the day.
No queue for me for a shower at 8.15 but by 8.45 my friend had to wait for 3 people before her so was getting very busy.

We were a group of five families (four tents and one touring caravan)for a weekend in May. We all arrived separately so pitched as we were told. Later as we toured the site, we were very surprised to see how close some groups had pitched effectively making enclaves blocked with their vehicles, often with big gazebo structures for communal areas in the centre.
We were at the end close to the old block which was satisfactory but the showers in the new block were much nicer.
On our first night it was very cold and the whole weekend was very windy but it was May so we couldn't complain.
We did a lovely walk to the pub with good track all the way.
Although close to the A24, the noise wasn't too bad.
The play area in the centre was OK but there was little room for ball games which is a shame. The cafe and shop were both small but the food looked lovely but we prefer to cater for ourselves.

Just returned from a weekend here, Very nice site, swipe card entry on the gate, nice location close enough to A24 for convenience, but far enough that you can't hear it.
We were adjacent to the old facilities block, a group of three tents and they were very accommodating allowing us to group together (observing safety rules of course).
The facilities block (old) was adequate, nice showers and toilets, kept very clean. The new block at the other end of the field, is superb, very large, excellent showers, and also houses a shop and cafe (no hot meals).
The kids play area was more suited to older children (we had 6 girls under 7) but they enjoyed the independence of going to the toilet 'alone' (in groups of at least 3 !)
Overall a nice clean site with Nice friendly staff,

Arrived at camp site, reception was well organised and arranged for us to be shown to our pitch. ' shower/toilet blocks on site, one of the blocks is newer and has bigger shower cubicles than the other. Toilets and shower were clean although one block had completely run out of toilet roll on the Sunday evening.
The play area was fabulous and kept my daughter very entertained for hours, we had a pitch with a view of the play area.
The games room was dated and not well kept but they did have a book shelf of 2nd hand books to borrow which I thought was a good idea.
The shop was basic and reasonably priced for a camp shop. Shame it didn't sell newspapers and magazines.
I would recommend this site and will probably go to it again if we chose the area again.

My husband and I stayed at this site both this year and last year both just us and the dog and with family including children and will definitely stay again.
It is a large flat site with great sized pitches separated by hedges and/or a white post.
It has a children's play area in the middle - which not having any children, had no impact on our stay, but children that were there seemed to be having a nice time!
The shop seems to have everything, including really friendly staff and a small cafe/coffee shop attached.
Washing up facilities are very good, and also have fridge freezers in the area which was really handy for icepacks and cold foods and drinks storage.
Showers/washing facilities and toilets are of a high standard, in a warm block. People are very respectful and do mop up after, but they are also regularly cleaned too.
There didn't seem to be any shops within close walking distance, but a Petrol Station with a large shop attached and a McDonalds (if you wanted it!) is a 5 minute drive away. It is quite near the dual carriage way, and other reviews have mentioned the noise, but it is not invasive. There are fields and country roads for dog walking etc and beaches and other attractions are a 30 minute drive away.
We will definitely go back to this site especially as they will take bookings at short notice if they have the space.
A highly recommended site.

This was our first camping trip, and Honeybridge was a great starting point! The staff were helpful, and were on hand. Our electric hook-up pitch was a lovely size for our 7m tent and porch, with ample room.
Great outdoor children's play area for my 7 year old. My 10 year old enjoyed riding his bike with the many friends that he made around the very safe site.
The showers were clean, although the toilets could have been attended to a little more after busy periods.
We didn't go off site much, as we had such a relaxing time where we were, but did venture to the nearby Bluebell Wood, which was beautiful, but full of red ants! A few came out bitten!

What a fantastic campsite! Honeybridge was recommended to us by friends who had been before. We have recently had a baby and had a couple of days there just to see how we got on with baby in the caravan.
Campsite is beautifully presented, well kept and most importantly of all, safe. Plenty of room for children to play, and were able to keep an eye on them from most places in the site without worry.
Shop is small but well stocked. Never tried the cafe but menu looked good and reasonably priced.
Pitches are a good size and not on top of one another at all. Loos and showers were nice and clean all the time we were there.
Really like this campsite, going back again in a few weeks for a longer break. Staff/owners really pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
