A lovely site! Very friendly staff and good sized pitches. The new shower block is great with fab shower facilities and my three kids (aged 9, 7 &7) lived the play area. Easy to find and lots to do in the area. We stayed weds-sat and the site was fairly quiet but busy enough for my three to make a few friends! The older older blocks were ok but less luxurious. The games room is definitely a bonus! We have fab weather so only went in for a little while, but the games were good value.
We came for a one night stay, it was an excellent place for my 4 year olds first camping trip.
Very helpful staff, and excellently kept pitches.
A lovely play area with football pitch, luckily we were camped opposite so could comfortably watch our son having a play with new friends.
Lots of shower areas two of which we visited, both very clean, washing facilities also. No cues for a shower, not even on a very busy, very hot Sunday morning.
A well stocked shop, which even had a small selection of toys.
Lots of animals to see and plenty of areas to take exploration walks.
I didn't visit the fishing lakes myself but my husband was very impressed.
My husband and I have just had a very peaceful weekend at this campsite. The facilities were excellent and the toilet block was one of the best I have seen, clean at all times with hairdryers available. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good size pitches for both tents and caravan. We did not feel we were encroached upon by other campers at all. Did not use the fishing lakes or playground(!) however, they both appeared to be very popular. Well situated to explore the surrounding countryside. My only 'little' moan would be that recycling facilities could be better - however that did not in any way detract from a lovely weekend. Would definitely recommend this site and we plan on returning soon!
We picked Greenhill Leisure Park during the last week of May for three reasons,
Firstly reading the review’s on UKCampsite.co.uk & I have to say we were not disappointed. Secondly Greenhill has animals, as it is a working farm & I have to say the grandchildren loved them & thirdly it was close to the Cotswolds & Oxford.
On arrival we received a friendly welcome & one of the wardens took us down to the Orchard paddock & was given a choice of where to pitch, there was plenty of EHU around & our pitch was enormous with so much space, especially as this was a bank holiday weekend & school half term. I normally stay on much smaller sites, but it did not fell like a large site because of the space & size of our pitch.
The site was kept immaculate, grass well cut, facilities block always spotless, the showers was some of the best I have come across. The children had plenty of room to play in our field, as well as having a large play area with play equipment for the young ones & a mini football pitch for all ages. There was also a large games room that had games machines, table tennis tables & pool tables that my sister’s grandson really enjoyed.
Also on site there is a shop that stocks many of the fresh items that you require daily, with lots of fresh meat that is produced on the farm, there was also plenty of items & toys to keep the younger ones happy.
There was a large dog walk for pet owners, at the end of that area it continue with a private footpath to the Local pub that is situated at the side of the canal, you can continue along the towpath to the lock, the grandchildren loved be able to help the “local captain” of the canal boat, operate the lock gates. There are some wonderful areas to visit in the Cotswolds.
In conclusion, Greenhill is a high quality site, reassembly priced, in an area of outstanding beauty as well as being ideal to visit Oxford city. My grateful thanks to the owners & wardens, for providing my family with a wonderful holiday, keep up the good work, we shall definitely be returning to this site.
Just returned from 4 days at this site and have to say it was fabulous. Very peaceful, apart from the planes during the day (though it was not a problem), but it was just right for us (with 2 children, aged 5 and 7). The tent pitch size was very, very good, probably the biggest we have ever had. The kids loved the play park, the games room and the animals. The on site shop was not huge, but had all the basics you needed and at very reasonable prices. They sell produce from the farm as well, including meat and eggs. There is also a pizza van which visits the site on Friday evenings. We didn't try this, but it seemed popular. The toilet and shower blocks were very good, with plenty of free hot water. We never had to wait at all, even though it was a school half term holiday. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. All in all, cannot fault this site and will definitely be returning, hopefully for a longer stay next time.

WeE chose Greenhill for our family Bank Holiday break not too far away from home for our first trip out in our new to us unit and was very pleasantly surprised.
Found the site easily and clearly signposted and with great access to the farm. On arrival, checked in at reception and was given full detail of the pitch with further warden assistance onto it as we drove into site.
Our pitch, as well as most, was level and brilliantly maintained and for a very busy weekend we had ample room for our unit and car with plenty of space around for other campers and still gave the children playing area outside our pitch.
Saying this, it was not needed as they have a dedicated play area for ball games and climbing equipment.
Knowing it is a working farm asked if there was any restrictions where we could and could not go for walks with the children and was told that as long as they were supervised and crops were not flattened then we could explore to our hearts content which was great for the girls to get close to all the very friendly animals on site.
The facilities were to a very high standard and regularly cleaned and bins emptied etc. Never too much queueing for either washing up areas or showers and as I said the site was busy.
The on site shop catered for most things with a stunning choice of local produce at very respectable prices.
Off site, we only ventured to one local pub (the Rock of Gibraltar) which is within easy walking distance and found this to be ok.
The other attraction in the area that is well worth a day out is Blenheim Palace, only 10 mins drive away.
All in all I feel it has set the bar high for our future holidays. We would easily recommend this site.
Very nice large site. Facilities were very clean and in excellent condition. Long driveway off main road with speed humps. Very quiet, no road noise, only noise from planes / helicopters landing at oxford airfield nearby. Having said that there was no noise at night. Large hard standing pitches which drained well after approx 3' of overnight rain. Friendly staff. Small selection of animals on site, ducks, pigs, cows and sheep. Good dog walking area. Believe there may be a small children's play area, with swings, but didn't have the need to visit this. Only criticism is that we couldn't get a good WiFi reception despite being advised that our pitch would have access to it. Would probably use this site again in the future.
We love this site and have used it regularly for the last 4 seasons.
The site is set in a valley in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. The pitches are exceptionally spacious and the 3 toilet blocks are modern and immaculately kept with enormous showers and unlimited hot water.
There is a well stocked shop with organic meat and free range eggs all produced on the farm, a children’s play area and a barn with pool tables, table tennis and some rather interesting retro games machines like space invaders and pin ball.
There are lots of animals including ducks, geese, pigs, goats, sheep and even alpacas which are really strange creatures and fascinating to watch. We know nothing about fishing, but we see lots of people enjoying the 3 fishing lakes.
This is a family run site and they are constantly improving and adding to the facilities. The family are always really helpful, friendly and welcoming and the wardens are really helpful and friendly too.
There are some lovely walks in the area, especially along the Oxford Canal which is adjacent to the site. There are 2 pubs within walking distance and a Sainsbury’s Supermarket is a 10 minute drive. Oxford, Woodstock (Blenheim Palace), Bicester Village (shopping outlet) are all within easy reach.
We would highly recommend Greenhill Leisure Park to anyone who wants to visit Oxfordshire with a tent, caravan or motorhome.
Stayed at this site in June with a friend while visiting her son in hospital. What an excellent find this site was. As my husband & I were going on an adventure in the camper van (we had only purchased in may) I decided I would like him to see this site. We stayed 1 night. He was very impressed with the whole site especially the shower/toilet block with large size shower cubicles. He did a lot of cycling around the site & area. We both enjoyed watching people fish on the lakes. As my husband is an animal lover he enjoyed the chickens, ducks etc. Nice on site shop. Large games room. Ideal if you have children. A free use of freezer in games room. This was such a good start to our 15 nights away that we decided to return here & relax for 2 nghts before going back home
We want to visit bourton-on-the-water again so will return here.

A large commercial site with excellent facilities and warden patrolled who show you to your pitch. Well organised and no noise problem considering the size. Only annoyance was one of the warden's car alarm kept going off one night and woke us up, but that can happen anywhere.
We were in one of the rally fields and the new toilet block was excellent, the best showers I've ever used camping. There is a games room but no clubhouse (thank goodness). It was okay for a stopover of two nights but it's too large for my liking and we are unlikely to pick this one again for that reason.
Just returned from two weeks at Greenhill Leisure Park. As two older generation campers, we were looking for a site offering peaceful evenings and adequate facilities and we were not disappointed.
Although this is probably the largest site I have used, it never seemed crowded, being spread over three fields. There are three facilities blocks, a playing field for younger campers and a games room with table tennis tables, a pool table and various arcade machines.
There are also fridges and freezers in here - which we didn't discover until several days into the holiday. There are also spare plug points, in case you want to recharge your mobile phone or lighting.
Showers were always hot and the shower rooms themselves are large unlike other sites where there is little space to get dressed after showering. There are also clothes washing and ironing facilities. All the facilities were in very good condition.
We didn't need to make use of the on site shop, but it is adequately stocked with various camping necessities and basic food, including meat from the farm.
Staff were really pleasant and helpful - a credit to the business.
Pitch fees were incredibly reasonable at £85 per week for a tent with two older generation campers. Other friends at a site the other side of Oxford paid considerably more, though with a young son, they appreciated the additional facilities for children at that site.
The local pub in Bletchingdon provided decent meals and some great local personalities to listen to! We also tried the pub in Hampton Poyle - be careful what you choose - I ordered a pepperoni pizza which looked good but was utterly tasteless such that I sent it back only partially consumed and although I was offered the option to order another meal I had gone past wanting to wait whilst something else was prepared. My colleague's meal he said was tasty, though a small portion. Bit pricey too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the site. We will certainly use the site again if looking to camp near to Oxford.
Some reviews have referred to their tents being 'visited' by the chickens - we didn't see any so perhaps the site owner has addressed this.
Just returned from a lovely 5-night stay (Sun – Fri) at Greenhill Leisure.
Thought we were never going to get to site, the drive is long with some vicious speed bumps!
Easy booking in, with a nice man on a bike showing us to our pitch. In a large field at the bottom end of the camp site (Woodside) which looked new – huge pitches with newly planted trees surrounding each one. Field we were in wasn’t muddy, we had a dry(ish) week luckily, but could see loads of matting under the grass, presumably to address this. Quite exposed to the wind but I suppose it will be more sheltered when the trees grow. Railway line and Oxford Airport not far away but didn’t notice noise after a day.
Toilet/shower block excellent. Showers more like a wet room but plenty of room to get dried. We had the field mostly to ourselves so didn’t have any problems getting in the showers, although it could possibly get busy (3 toilets & 3 showers in ladies) when site more full.
Very easy to get to A34, & Oxford Park & Ride just down the road at Kidlington (as is a Harvester & a large Sainsburys). Visited Blenheim (not worth the money)
The only criticism I could make, and it’s nothing to do with the site, is with the dog walkers walking their dogs early in the morning and chatting very loudly, which happened to be right behind our tent!
Would give extra star for facilities if WiFi had extended to our field, had to go and sit outside the shop to get a signal. No hardship though as it has a nice patio area with benches and umbrellas!
All in all an excellent site and would definitely recommend it.
Just had a wonderful week camping at Greenhill Leisure Park with some friends and their family.
The location is ideal, nice and quiet and several hundred metres from the nearest main road, which meant that the kids could cycle around the whole site without the possibility of straying onto the main road.
There is a petting farm which the kids loved and ducks wandering around the site which is great. There are fishing lakes which are a nice size and although we didn`t fish there were plenty of campers who did, and you didn`t have to pay which is a bonus!
The site shop is well stocked with provisions fresh eggs, meat etc as well as the all important beer/wine. There is a good sized games room which would is ideal if the weather is not too good, as it was we had excellent weather apart from 1 night of rain and 1 or 2 small showers.
The pitches were not muddy and the ground is well drained. When we arrived we thought that the pitch we were given was for ourselves and our friends, as it turned out, it was all ours! So no problems with being on top of each other, plenty of room.
The shower and toilet blocks are kept clean and tidy although the block nearest our pitch got busy on Saturday morning when the weekend campers had arrived but that is being picky of me, I should have got up earlier.
The sites wardens were extremely helpful and a good source of information about areas to visit and things to do. I can`t recommend this site highly enough and look forward to returning in near future.
We stayed here for two nights in July with four children and our dog. What a great site! There are three different fields which are all quite different. One seemed to be pitch less so you just camped/parked where you wanted, one was clearly a newer field with less privacy and some water logging issues and then the field we were in.
We stayed to the left of the main reception/shop buildings. Pitch sizes are fabulous and have a good degree of privacy. Pitches are well spread out with plenty of space in front for the children to play (wellies required on a morning!).
My only criticism of the pitches were those next to the opening to the park or dog walking field had plenty of traffic walking passed but maybe some people like that?
The shower blocks were impeccable. Can't fault them other than it'd be nice to have a few cubicles with sinks in so you could have a private wash rather than shower. Whilst we were closest to the smaller block we used the main one for showers as it was bigger.
The shop was well stocked and staff friendly. The indoor play area was ok although more geared towards older children. The outside playground was good although could do with a few extra things for the children to play on.
The dog walking field was a very good size although we spotted a lot of dog mess unfortunately.
It would be nice if the wifi could serve the whole site (at additional cost maybe) as we weren't near a hotspot.
Would definitely recommend and are planning to revisit in the future.
