Just spent the bank holiday at this campsite and had a great time. The site is well laid out with pitches around the outside leaving a large space in the centre for children to play with the football goal and tower slide and swings play area visible from nearly all pitches good to keep an eye on the kids.
The shower/toilet block is new and very spacious large shower cubiles with plenty of hot water very clean and tidy.
The owner is very friendly and helpful and walks round quite often checking all ok.
The local shops are very close with an asda and banks
The bus and train short walk from site also walking distance to beach

Just returned from a 1 night stay at the Barn Caravan park and it was the best camping experience I have had!
The site Manger was friendly, welcoming and very easy going. The site is a very basic fenced field with a male/female shower block, drinks machine and a washing up sink.
We had booked 2 nights but the second day the weather turned very bad, so asked the site manager for our second days money back to which he agreed with no problem.
I will definitely be returning back to this site as it is quiet, 10 min walk from the beach (stoney) and the kids loved it there.
Very cheap too.

Just returned from a long weekend stay at this site. We had a great time, shops beach and pubs are 10 minute walk. Also 10 minutes to the bus stop that runs along the whole of the south coast, £16. 00 return at the time to Brighton.
Site in general is very flat, it has brick BBQ's around the site to use.
The site also has free WiFi.
Even though the site was quite full, there was no queues at the showers.
The site manager was very friendly and helpful.
All this together with all the nearby attractions made for a great camping trip.
We will be using this site again and again.

We have just spent a lovely weekend at the barn
The campsite was a fairly level site with pitches and hookups set out around the edge leaving plenty of space for the kids to play ball games in the centre there was a play area with swings and slide and a football goal which kept the older ones busy.
The shower block was great with large family sized shower cubicles (plenty of hot water).
There was free wifi that was great as most campsite charge a fortune for it.
I feel the campsite offers great value for money compared to other site in the area
We will return in the future.

A very nice little campsite - stayed here for one night and were very pleased with everything. A good shower/toilet block and plenty of space for lots of tents.
Owner was very helpful; we weren't able to meet with him to pay but he was quite happy for us to leave the money in the reception which was great.
Can't say much more than that, it was fine with us and we'd go back there again if ever in the area.

Fantastic, I have been using this campsite for at least, 7yrs. I have visited with family members, young and old, and more importantly as a female solo camper.
I have found the owner, Joe to be friendly, amenable and conscientious, when it comes to all the facilities, keeping them clean and safe. Washrooms toilets showers, including and outdoor open one, perhaps you may want to wash of the sand from the local beach. (only a few minutes walk away), lockers if needed to store valuables if your out for the day. Great playing field for the children, plenty of room for games, even a football pitch/goals the children seem to love playing on the climbing frames. And reliable WI FI for all those that just have to have it.
This is also a great site if you are thinking of watching the Shoreham Air shows as the Planes fly right over. Brilliant.
Local town and train station only 5 mins walk from the site, including a supermaket, plenty of local shops, places to eat, and great pubs with live music.
I just love this site sometimes I just take off after work, knowing I can relax and pick up what I want on the way.

We stumbled across this small, but quiet camp site on Google, and after a few days in Bournemouth, drove to Lancing in search of the Barn Caravan Park. We hadn't booked so was not sure if we'd get on site. We needn't have worried.
The owner was very obliging and was able to accommodate us for two nights. The site is a lovely clean field, with all the usual washing and toilet facilities.
There's only two gents shower cubicles, but that wasn't a problem as there was never a queue.
There's a play area for children, not that we needed it though.
A bus runs every 10 minutes from the top of the road and takes you to local shops and into Brighton, which was very handy for us.
All in all, a great little camp site, and we shall be returning next year.
Highly recommended.

A peaceful campsite with good clean facilities. A few minutes walk from Lancing beach (very quiet pebbly beach) and Lancing station (trains to Brighton and Worthing). Flat, good soil, but not much shelter.
The manager Joe was very friendly and keen to help. Particularly good to see that, despite the busy Autumn holiday week he didn't cram people in so there was still a lot of personal space.
Don't be put off by the proximity of the airport - the only things to disturb our sleep were seagulls! And the planes that go overhead during the day are quite interesting to watch

A very friendly owner, who was on hand day and night if required. When we read other reviews one question kept reoccurring: Would you recommend this campsite to a friend? YES we would!
Jo, the owner is very helpful and friendly. We asked for some foliage to be cut back so we didn't get soaked when filling our kettle, it had been done when we returned later that day!
Also when we are camping, cost is a major factor, the site is good value for money!
We were told the cheapest way to get to Brighton was on the train and the railway station was under a mile away, right next to a supermarket.
The showers are free of charge and the toilets are spotless! What more could you ask for?

Have just finished our third visit to the campsite. Thoroughly enjoyed all our stays. The addition of the new shower/toilet block was very welcome. Another plus was the FREE wi-fi. We took our computer and had superb viewing of the Olympic Opening Ceremony. The site is close to a lovely clean beach and various shops.
Jo was very accommodating (as always) and was a great 'Pied Piper' in herding the swans into the next field after they had landed right outside our tent.
The site is convenient for Lancing/Worthing/Brighton and there is a giant car boot sale on Saturday mornings just past the roundabout towards Shoreman - great stuff, will be returning next year.

Very pleasantly greeted on arrival. Very clean & tidy site kept well maintained, toilet/shower block always kept clean & toilet rolls changed daily by the looks.
Free Wifi a plus so able to keep up with olympics
A nice play area for the kids is always an advantage, as well also a football goal. You can walk dogs along the coast and not too far from asda (around 10mins away).
Great cycle route along coast mostly of the main road so good for kids
Lancing has its own beach stoney at top sandy at bottom 5 mins from site
Bus and train short walk from site
Brighton around 6-7 miles away, nice beaches there too.
Worthing around 2-3. Have just had a few days here & sure would return, a great place to stay

Just spent a few days at this gem of a campsite friendly and made to feel welcome, located in the town of lancing just a short walk from town and beach but feels like the country with horses and wildlife in surrounding fields
The site is simply a large square of grass with electric points with lights on that gives off a good amount of light they are located around the edge, there is a play area (slide/swings) in the centre witch made keeping an eye on my children easy there is a new shower block which has just been installed large and spacious, the shower cubicles (4) easily fitted me and my 2 small children in, there is still a few things to finish although it is more than adequate.
We were very please with our stay and will be returning in the futre

Well me and my wife had a great time here at the barn caravan park. A nice little site clean and tidy.
New shower and toilet block hot and cold running water, ok there were times that the hot showers were cold but a cold shower does not hurt anybody. A very friendly welcome as we pulled in
Not far from beach and town easy access to Worthing and Brighton.
A very basic camp site but well worth a visit.
We will be going back

Just come back from two beautiful days at The Barn caravan park. As other reviews have mentioned the campsite is a real surprise, as is the little village of Lancing where it is located. The site is essentially a green square next to an equestrian centre.
There are views of fields and horses. The play area was nice with swings, slides and small climbing wall and a full size football goal. The new toilet block is fine with everything you need. They are currently installing a washing up area which will be a benefit to those like me who are tenting.
I was greeted by a friendly face and made to feel very welcome my whole stay. The biggest plus point especially if you have children is it is a short 5 minute walk to the beach which is pebbles at the top and sand from the waters edge. It shelves very gently which make it ideal for small children, you would have to go a fair way out for it to be more than four feet deep.
It is also a great place for bikes, there is a cycle path that runs along the front right the way from shoreham to worthing and is a great way to get about. Needless to say l loved the campsite and the area.
The weather was great which always helps but Lancing and worthing are well worth a visit, with a good mix of shops, places to eat, drink and watch the world go by.
I will definitely be going back to The Barn caravan park in the very near future.

Stayed at The Barn camping and caravan park in Lancing. Was our first time camping. We found the camp to be clean and tidy. Showers were hot and staff friendly. Was only a ten minute walk to the beach. Shops were within walking distance too. Even had a chinese take away delivered. Would recommend to families too as the children we saw were playing on large play equipment where parents could see they were safe.
