Lovely site, level pitches, friendly staff. Beautiful setting on the river. Lovely clean toilets.
Make sure you’ve got plenty of food in as no facilities for shopping unless you drive there.
An enclosed dog walking area would be a bonus as dogs must be on leads at all times, quite rightly so.
Family visited us on site for a bbq- happy days - we will return.

The Wardens were extremely helpful, friendly both on arrival and throughout our stay.
They gave us valuable information regarding bus times to and from the site, places of interest and information regarding the ferry and places to eat. The facilities were very good and spotlessly clean.
The site is beautiful and is immaculately kept. The local wildlife and surrounding countryside enhance the overall experience. The shop is well stocked and the staff were most helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend the site to our friends. We would definitely vist the site again if in the area.

Our group of 10 families spent a wonderful weekend at the Riverside Campsite.
The entire experience was fantastic—friendly and helpful staff, a well-maintained site, and rules that struck a perfect balance between structure and freedom.
We also took the ferry to Burnham, which was easy to arrange and definitely worth the trip.
We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Immaculate site with exceptional customer service. Good sized pitches. Bus runs once a day to Southend.
Lots of unforced water so not ideal for young children. Great play area for older children. Loved watching the ducks & swans.
Better suited to caravans due to location and lack of anywhere to drop grey waste.

This was our first visit to both the site and the area. It was a lovely quiet site with lots of wildlife.
It was one of the best places we have stayed whilst doing motorhome holidays in the last five years.
The wardens were approachable and friendly and really helpful.
The staff could not do enough for you. Due to a recent foot operation I found it really hard to use the usual showers and so they arranged for me to use the disabled facilities which I truly appreciated.
The site was kept immaculate and all I can say is, we will be back one day for sure.
Thank you to you all for your hard work and making our holiday extra special.

We liked the location and the fact that it was quiet and the pitches were spacious. The warden who greeted us was friendly and very welcoming, spending time to give us all the information we needed.
We felt that £50 was quite steep as the facilities were very limited, plus the nearest toilets to us were portaloos!
We are used to camping in France where most campsites have swimming pools and restaurants/bars and only charge about £20 - 30/Night with EHU
That said, there was a great dog walk with beautifully cut grass along the waterway and out to the seawall. I would recommend but not at that price sadly
