 I've been visiting The Cud Life for many years, but knew it was going to be under new ownership this year.
I need not have worried, Tanya (previous owner) has left the site in good hands.

We stumbled across this site by accident and what a find.
It’s a gem of a site and we have already booked another a stay later in the year.
Such a lovely picturesque site and so close to the town of Harrogate. Run by a lovely family whose young sons also get involved so there’s a nice family vibe about the place.
There’s a new cafe on site too. 5 mins by bus to Harrogate and some lovely walks from the site.
Lovely countryside and views.
Facilities are lovely and clean.

The welcome on site was brilliant, the facilities are spotless and the attention to detail second to none.

We've been coming for 6years.
Beautiful place.
Easy to get to with bus service 10mins away.
New owners who are so committed to us all. Great pitches.
Lovely views. And a new cafe is opening in a few weeks. What could bettet.

Fabulous little site. Just far enough from the main road to almost loose the sound of the traffic (only loud vehicles heard)
We were welcomed on arrival and again after setting the tent up.
The shower/toilet block was exceptionally clean. And regularly attended to. Hot water was always available. There is also a fridge to charge up your cooler bags
The walk to the local pub (The Knox) is only across a few fields. The Knox opened at 4 when we were there and food served from 5. They also hosted an open mic, which was absolutely fabulous.
The only bit of criticism was on Friday at lunchtime the whole site was mowed which set off bouts of hay fever. I expected this being done for the weekend visitors but in the end only a handful arrived.
Thanks for an exceptional 4 nights

Lovely site, second visit to this site and we are sure we will have many more.

Great place to stay for trips to Harrogate and surrounding towns.

My opinion of The Cud Life in one word is fantastic
They told me it just gone into new ownership
It’s small site but it is kept in outstanding condition
The toilet block is one of the cleanest if not the best we’ve ever visited on smaller sites, remembering it not a new building it was outstanding condition
If that’s the standard these new owners are setting their standards I think it will be very successful business for them
Plus it’s a very peaceful place

Enjoyed a very pleasant stay. The site has new owners.
This was our fourth time here and the site vibe hasn't changed at all.
We missed the shop (cake and pies) but understand a cafe is on its way!
Good base for local walks and there is a bus stop a few minutes walk away.
We will be coming back!

Our 2 visit was amazing well kept small but beautiful site Mark was friendly and made is feel very welcome
But the small things were really appreciated fresh flowers in the shower block which look not that appealing from the outside but were so thoughtful inside and to a very high standard
Can’t recommend highly enough not much on the site to keep kids entertained but there again that’s how we like it

I can now comment as a camper as I genuinely stayed in my campervan on the 30th March as I booked a pitch for the night and shared a bottle of champagne with the wonderful new owners Matt and Rachel!
Having created this campsite with my wonderful husband, who I tragically lost to a brain tumour in 2023, I knew I couldn't ever manage it on my own. Selling our dream was the second hardest thing to losindDave BUT this family are truly THE BEST people to take on The Cud Life!
I stayed here last night, the toilets and showers were perfect, the bird song and peace (apart from when I set my van alarm off) are truly amazing and I will definitely be back as often as I can.

This place is great. New owner Rachel gave us the warmest of welcomes less than 24 hours after they completed on the sale.
She was really attentive and came to check we were ok in the early evening. Small site with gravel touring pitches and a camping field.
Charming little loo/shower/washing-up block with fridge/freezer free to use. Great scenic location just off the A61.
Short walk back to main road and buses to either Harrogate or Ripon. We had a lovely 6. 5 mile walk through the hamlet of Knox and the Nidd Gorge.
Fields full of lovely lambs and calves at the farm.
Highly recommended.

Excellent break. Currently in the process of changing ownership, but this was not an issue we were warmly greeted and given choice of pitches.
Great location for walking and cycling, and easy to get to Harrogate (and Leeds or Ripon) via bus.
Toilet / shower facilities are good, but if site was busy it may raise an issue for availability.
It was quiet during our stay. Would definitely return.

The Cud Life campsite is amazing :)
The showers were very clean, large and even had hair straighteners/dryer and a radio!
I would highly recommend staying there if looking for a site in that area.

Such a lovely stay which was made perfect by Mark and Tanya. Nothing was too much trouble.
Mark ia so helpful and knowledgeable about the local area and very interesting to chat to.
The site was great! Lovely facilities and lots of lovely touches.
A nice walk into Harrogate and a very convenient bus journey on the way home.
So much to explore around, so much so, I’m returning.

Lovely site. Friendly welcome from Mark. Facilities were in good order and the site was spotless.
Super quiet at night.
Within a short distance of Harrogate and Knaresbrough. Lots of activities within 15
Mins drive. Great walks directly off the site.
Overall very happy and dog friendly too. Will recommend and stay again in the future
