We have been coming to this site for the last 7 years, this year it seemed to of been taken over, which unfortunately it seems to have gone down hill. The site is in a great location, the new wardens were very helpful and friendly which is a big improvement. The pitches are small and electric hook up is not clear who's is who's. We always had dinner the first night in the club house because the food has always been homed cooked out of this world food, not no more burnt rubbish and un helpful not at all friendly uninterested staff, the soft play area is not monitored by staff and kids are just throwing all the building blocks around and climbing up the walls, this should be monitored as lots of angry parents wanting to fight each other for making there kid cry. Toilets and showers clean, plenty off play area for the kids, a lot more seasonal pitches now. Swimming pool was ok a bit steep but the kids enjoyed it which is the main thing. Not sure I'd be back at the price of the pitches

Expensive site (Jack of the green weekend). Facilities on camping field are good but dated compared to campervan field but no toilet paper on Friday night. You can pitch where you like which is good, got a nice sheltered spot.
Sunday night when most people had left the toilet block was locked with no facilities on camping field leaving you with a long walk to reduced facilities on camper van field very poor considering the cost, will not visit again.
We had friends in a campervan who wanted to pitch next to our tent but were told to move their van off camping field but other people in vans were mixed in with tents???????

Oh dear, sorry but we struggled a bit with this one, we hate to leave negative feedback but we only hope that it is looked at in a positive way for improvement. Being new to the towing of a caravan although small we found it a bit of a challange to get into the site but once in and settled all was ok, pitches were small and tight and not to well marked out, luckly it wasn't to busy when we stayed but I imagine it would get a bit messy when busier. We found the staff nice and polite and the facilities although limited were clean and tidy.
We have decided to stay in smaller quieter sites from now on as one like this are not for us.

Nice big site, and wasn't too busy in September so our group had a really big area to ourselves. The toilets and showers were kept very clean, so no complaints there. The site was really close to Hastings sea side so it was really easy to get to the attractions.
My only problem was the staff, who I found on occasion to be quite rude and curt - I just tried to avoid them and not let them get me down!

Location: Can be difficult to find for those outside of the area, although its well sign posted you have to drive through a busy housing estate, as Hastings is a seaside town its a very steep area so would be difficult taking a caravan up there.
Facilities: There is a bar available which does extremely good tasting food (with a good selection), you do need to pre-book in advance though to be sure of a seat as there is limited spacing. In terms of toilets / showers, they're really basic and could do with an update (although they are clean)
Tent Field: A really nice open space and although we were pitched next to some louder campers we didn't let this bother us, plenty of options of where to pitch if you arrive early.
Customer Service: Probably the biggest draw back of this location, the bar staff arent the most friendly of staff and can come across a bit too short and to the point.

Stayed here in April, was lucky with the weather. Felt compelled to write this review after reading some of the negative reviews.
We found the staff to be very friendly and very helpful and we were surrounded by friendly campers. The staff did a daily round and were available to deal with any issues. ( we did not have any. ) The entertainment in the bar was first class in the bar/restaurant over the three nights we were there. The price of the beer was slightly cheaper than my local and although we did not eat the food looked excellent. We spent a day in Hastings Old town which I would highly recommend. As stated by other reviews the drive up to the site is a little steep but we had no problems. The toilets and showers were clean and modern. There are excellent walks into the surrounding countryside. Would not hesitate to return to this site.

This was our 2nd visit to this site. Although the drive up the hill is steep, once on site it is calmness supreme. The campsite last year and this year is very clean although only one toilet and shower block is currently open, it is the best I have visited, hot water and heated block all the time; after all there were only a dozen or so motorhomes, caravans and a couple of tents (very hardy). The grass/grounds are well kept, additional hard standings have been added over the winter period.
We visited the bar and restaurant (ate as recommended by touring wardens) it met with our expectations. All staff from reception, touring wardens and bar staff superb; as touring warden 'Billy' said 'first and foremost, welcome back to Paradise'; it certainly is. Looking forward to future visits throughout the year.

What a place to get too! We had normal sized motorhome but struggled to get passed parked cars on the steep hill to the campsite. Think that the residents don't like the amount of cars, caravans etc. , coming up passed their homes.
The site was crammed full - we had a hard standing pitch. The guy next door was parked on our patch so we struggled to get up our awning and had to get the wardens to ask him to move it - twice. The language from the woman in the caravan was appalling 'fing this fing that' to a small child too. The caravan next door - seasonal pitch - with their awning and car - we had all but 8inches between their car door and our motorhome drivers door. So much for allowing 12-14feet for fire restrictions!health & safety none existant. Ball games were played constantly by all ages and it did not matter to them that they kept kicking it onto our and others vans. If you asked them not to you got a load of abuse. We seriously thought about leaving after one night. The site is a nice site. But totally unorganized. They had room for separate areas for people with kids, tents, caravans and motor homes. They know whos coming as you have to put down number of adults and kids and dogs etc. , so no excuse not to allocate appropriate section of the site accordingly. Dogs roamed everywhere - people ignored 'keep dogs on lead signs' wardens were not bothered either - we had one dog pee on our awning door disgusting. On easter monday people started leaving which made life easier. Only just. We chose this site for location to hastings and nothing else.
We would never return and not recommended in holiday times unless you like being a sardine. Such a shame
Hasting holiday get your act together as we are not all loud foul mouthed campers! Or londoners.

Bad experience for us. It;s situated at the top of the cliffs, one helluva tow up. As we neared the top of the hill & the site we came upon the sign 'Not suitable for Caravans'. This is your way in, it's narrowish with cars parked all along the left. But we got there ok. We had to buy a gas bottle & explained to the guy it was a butane fitting. No prob he said, my wife dealt with it later & he gave her the wrong one. £56 for a 6kg calor. Yes! £56. £28 for the gas & £28 for the 6kg bottle. When I went to get it sorted everyone had gone. I went to the bar to tell staff there, they phoned a manager & I was told someone on the way. Nobody came. - The only toilet/washrooms that were open had no showers, but they were very clean. The toilet disposal is poor. Best with 2 of you. 1 to hold the lid open while the other tips your chemical toilet away. The pitches are badly marked. The site itself is quite nice however, with great walks for the dogs or yourself right by. But don't require help after 7pm because you wont get it! :-( We paid £43 for 2 & bit days (2 dogs too) They want you out at 11am on day of leave. Best of find somewhere else nearby.

Wasn't sure about this site at first but proved to be very good, showers and toilets very clean as is the site overall. Friendly warden who gave us all the information we needed. A lovely walk into Hastings all down hill just remember that when you are coming back ! Didn't use the facilities of the club house but went in for a look and it looked very nice and the prices weren't too bad. All in all a good site and would visit it again if in the area.

I booked a last minute weekend break at Hasting Touring Park for the end of the summer for two nights. At checkin the staff very helpful and friendly.
We were placed in the tent field, once in the field we were able to pick where we would like to pitch - there was plenty of space to choose from.
The toilet and shower block was clean, always plenty of toilet paper, soap, hot water. I feel the shower would benefit from a small shelf where to put soap, shampoo etc and poss some kind of seat in the toilet / shower area for when dressing young children.
The washing up area was clean and served the purpose - not all the sinks had plugs.
Small shop at the main reception stocked the basics and was reasonably priced.
The children enjoyed playing in the park (the equipment in the park was nice but a little basic I felt) around the park there was space to play games and picnic tables to sit and watch the kids burn of energy.
We didn't make use of the entertainment / facilities on the adjoining holiday park - we did look at using the pool but we were informed by reception that the shallowest part of the pool was 1. 2 meters - me being on my own with two young children who are not competent swimmers decided to give the pool a miss much to the disappointment of my kids. But I won back brownie points by taking them to the beach.
The nearest beach is in the old town area where there are some free museums, arcades, fairground rides and sealife centre - made for a fun day out.
The campsite was located near to the old town up a hill, only a short drive to shops, beach and local attractions. Good nature walks from the campsite.
All in all a fun stay and a site we would consider returning to.

Had a great time at Hastings touring park, lovely showers, although they could do with a shelf for putting your shampoo / shower gel.
The shower block near the entrance is one of the best I've seen ANYWHERE!
Only downside to this site is the fact that the clubhouse allows people to reserve a table(s) and when you get there early and find you cant sit anywhere it's a proper pain :-(
The views from the club decking area are amazing, you can see the sea!

Booked an electric pitch last minute and very glad we did.
Bathroom blocks were very clean with plenty of hot water and Wardens making regular rounds keeping an eye on things.
Good size pitches and a nice play area for the kids, the site operates a silence between 23. 00 and 07. 00 policy which people generally stuck to.
The bonus of this site is the fact you can use the facilities of the holiday park next door. The bar and restaurant are reasonably priced with good food, they also do a full English breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays. The indoor pool isn't huge but was very nice, I'm sure if it was raining it might get a little too busy but it was fine when we were there.
All in all a good site and one that we'll be using again.

I am always cautious when a camp sites web site shows lots of photos of the surrounding area but only one of the actual camp site, The photo shown of caravans nestled beneath tall trees looks nothing like the site we stayed at where all the vans and tents were in together on one big field with trees around the edge ! It was clean and well kept but not the idyllic forest location that the picture would suggest

We stayed for four nights, two adults two children 4 & 6.
Pro's
Clean toilets
Always hot water
No shower queues
Good kids park
Quiet, clean indoor pool
Lovely nature walks right down to the beach through national park totally off road from campsite
Cycle track again totally off road from campsite
Kids entertainer one afternoon in the upstairs bar.
Con's
Pool cost £4 per adult, £1. 50 per child cards not accepted so make sure you have cash with you
Shower cubicles very small with nowhere to sit and only 1 hook on the back of the door for all your stuff
Having walked two small children a quite a way to the beach everyone on it was totally naked so we had to make a swift exit, not the campsites fault but be warned.
All in all a relaxing 4 days.
