Fantastic site, on arrival you are shown to your pitch I had relatives coming later in the day with two touring caravans and they reserved two more pitches for me when I arrived although they wouldn't reserve them before that. The security is fantastic and the toilets/showers the same they are cleaned at least twice a day to an extremely high standard. The pub on site is great and the staff extremely friendly and helpful and the food is reasonably priced you can pre order beautiful bread from the camp shop. Would recommend the site to anyone and do. The fact that they charge the same all the time and don't hype the price up at bank holidays is a bonus

What a great campsite! All the staff were friendly and very helpful. The showers and toilets were spotless and lots of hot water and all for free. We took our golden labrador and were pleased to see we could even take her in the on site pub.

This helped tremendously and nobody was bothered she was there. The dog walk was adequate, although the bins could do with emptying more frequently as they were often full.

The little shop was a little expensive, but most campsites are. The tent plot was huge and we were pointed in a direction and told to pitch where we wanted.

Overall a great experience that we will do again for definite as the cost of the stay (including electric) was VERY reasonable.

We really enjoyed it. There was me, my hubby and 3 kids

The toilet block was clean no matter what time of day you went in the showers the was always hot.

They have a night security that goes round the site all night on hourly intervals which I thought was a good idea.

Quite a walk into ingoldmells but we do like walking so this wasn't a problem the on site shop was reasonably price.

We will recommend this site to others. We did really think this was a good site,

We didn't go to the pub as we aren't drinker so cant comment on that but didn't get no noise from the people who did use the pub.

We are now planning our next holiday on this site.

Well it was our very first time of camping and we totally enjoyed it. We had a great spot near the airfield and near the toilets. The grass was kept short, litter was removed fast. The toilet blocks were great just a shame some people (adults and children) don't know how to flush the toilet! The showers were lovely and warm at all time just a shame not enough space to put your clothes so with our tent being quite near this wasn't a problem. The on site shop was good for the things we needed and was actually surprisingly cheap. We had plenty of room around our tent so that was a good factor the only thing I wasn't keen on was the dog walkers letting the dogs do there mess quite near our tent not nice to see while eating! Ive now got the camping bug and would visit here again.

Good site straight next to the lake were we knee boarded and wake boarded.

Busy site with lots to and about a 10minute drive to Skegness but handy for Ingomells.

The tent pitches are on the flat and nicely spaced out and the toilets are nearby with plenty of showers. All the facilities were well maintained and kept fresh.

All the site staff were friendly and organised for a busy site with insure pub were foods is swerved and a small shop covering

Kids are catered for with the obvious attractions as well as swings etc.

We did expect noise but at night was very quiet and slept well.

We will be back,

Great site. Loads of space on well mowed grass. Pub OK. One member of staff was a bit short with me but when he realised what he'd done, he overly tried to make up for it and I appreciated that. Everyone is allowed a bad moment. Toilets were beautifully cleaned and modern. Free hairdryers were a great bonus. Central heated too!In close proximity to Ingoldmells, Skegness and the beach. We were placed near to the airfield which the kids loved. Whilst we were there a spitfire did a salute flying VERY low approx. 50 or 60 yards from us. It made our weekend. Very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

We have just got back from camping at this site and again I would highly recommend it to all.

I have read other reports regarding dog owners not cleaning after their pets and to be fair we thought the same until we brought it to the rangers attention. The ranger stated that it was mess from the geese and not from dogs, but never the less its still mess that shouldn't be there, so beware of this.

The toilets were clean and tidy throughout our stay. The only faults were the hot water was far too hot and they lacked for somewhere to put your belongings whilst showering.

I would not recommend the pub (called Cheers) that's just down from the site for a breakfast, although I must say they do have a lovely parrot in the middle of the pub.

I will be going back to camp on this site and would recommend it to all, just beware of the poop from the geese lol.

We stayed here the 1st week of August and after studying the map of the site I had concerns about the open water, especially with 3 children 6, 4 & 1, so we asked to be put over near the airfield which turned out to be an excellent choice.

When setting up we had a couple of planes come in and land so my 2 little boys (and my husband) were very impressed!

On a Sunday as well they had a little Steam train running for 50p which the children enjoyed.

Showers were hot enough but not very powerful and nowhere to put clothes and the drain running at the rear of your shower is not a pleasurable experience, but in fairness they were always reasonably clean for the amount of people (and I always think they are only as clean as the last person who used them). Could have done with a mop so you could clean after use as other sites have.

The park is really nice for the children and conveniently placed for the pub which was reasonably priced.

Fantasy Island in Ingoldmells was a couple of mile walk and good value wrist bands, the market also nice to wander round.

We thought Skegness was very cheap and had a lovely Carvery midweek for £3. 95 adults, £2. 95 kids, it also has an excellent water splash park tucked away beside the large car park near to the beach, which was all free and was very clean.

My only gripe was having to pay 20p to use the toilets in Skegness.

We would definitely return as good value for the money.

Just got back from a 5 night stay at the Water leisure park in our tent, costing £92. The site is very clean and spacious. It was busy with it being the kids holidays but we still had plenty of room either side of our tent and around us giving the kids plenty of area to play ball games without being a nuisance to others.

There's around 4 shower/toilet blocks around the park within a few minutes walking distance wherever you are situated. The blocks were always clean and maintained well while we were there. The only problem I would say for the showers is that they are too hot, especially for kids.

The Barn Inn pub has all you need for food, entertainment and a variety of drinks. Carlsberg is £2. 80 while Tetleys is £2. 60. Food is reasonably priced with good portions. The one night we went the singer was fantastic. I'm sure we will see him in the charts or on X Factor at some point in the future. The only downfall for the bar is it's too small for the size of the park so get there early if you want a seat.

If you fancy having a go on the jet ski it's around £17 per hour for 14+ which I think is a good price.

Outside of the park there's plenty to choose within walking distance. Butlins is a 5 min walk, while Ingoldmills is about 15 mins walk. Walk straight down the path outside the main entrance. Watch out for the dog mess, there seems to be plenty of ignorant dog owners that don't bother picking up the mess. There's also other entertainment venues for the family outside the park about 5 mins or so away. One is Cheers just up the road and the other is Summerlands, another 2 min walk from Cheers. They have bingo, games for the kids and also a small fair outside. This is the place we ended up in for the rest of our stay each night as it was bigger than the Barn Inn on site and had more things to do for the kids.

I will always come back to the Water Leisure Park. I've been coming here for 20 or so years now camping and never had no problems with the site. The only problem we did have on our last night was the occupants in the tent next to us ended up getting too drunk and had a blazing row until 2am. Nothing to do with the site, just some morons who had no respect for others.

Very nice and well kept park, plenty of room between tents, excellent fishing and great bar with good hot food, enclosed children's play area, ski pond was great and feeding all the carp was unbelievable, you are escorted to your pitch, good security and excellent staff, on site shop was very reasonable.

Negative thing was our block of toilets was an old mobile but were still very clean

Ideal for families and dogs

Will definitely go back. Excellent value for money, end of July and only £18.50 per night

Just back from a 16 night stint at this camp site. Having used it before two years previous we thought we knew what to expect. The first thing that came to us was that last time (and other reviewers pointed this out)the staff were not that pleasant so we were encouraged by remarkably helpful and polite staff at the reception and subsequently other parts of the park also, but then came the downside. This is not a site where you can book for standard pitches, you just turn up and hope that there is space (there usually is due to size of site), but unfortunately that means that almost any group can get on. The staff say 'same sex' group's are not allowed but this was not the case while we were there. The office staff can not be there all the time especially at 5 in the morning when the clubbers are getting back much the worse for drink and language. The park security do go around regularly but when a group of young teens were playing very loud music and using abusive language they just drove past, something we complained about to the staff to which security denied had happened. Unfortunately popular seaside resorts do attract this type of guest so if you are after a site where rules are adhered to this may not be for you.

On other parts to the site, the toilets were ok two years ago but are now a little dated though still usable with free showers and very low shaving mirrors, the only disadvantage with these facilities is that it was busy when we were there so found ourselves waiting most days to shower. The on-site shop is good for essentials and there is a grocery store up the road, combined you can get pretty much what you need, the chippy is good to! The on site pub is welcoming and again staff were very good, entertainment not up to much but it is free so beggars can't be choosers, pub menu is limited and not brilliant value though the food is nice. The children's play area is attached to the pub and is well kept but for the size of the site the play facilities are totally inadequate. Nearby is the main bus route which is quite regular though not as cheap as most buses and the ticket 'offers' are not so clear so check what ticket you require before boarding. Overall we will not be going back to this site as it is 'not for us' anymore, understandably what is good for one is not good for all.

We stayed for a week, just BEFORE, the school holidays, so this enormous site was about 20% occupied.

We came for the on site coarse fishing, and it was absolutely fantastic for that.

The well stocked water has about 100 pegs and for pleasure anglers like us was a dream, with plenty of action ( take plenty of worms).

We paid £18. 50 per night for a non electric hook up, which is just about fair.

Toilets are clean and very functional, and the site is so big, there are 4 blocks dotted around.

Showers are fine (too hot if anything).

The site is virtually litter free, and the grass is well cared for.

The on site pub/cafe complex is very good, and serves basic pub grub at reasonable prices.

The on site shop is average and limited in what it sells. Kids toys are well catered for though.

Staff in this shop were a little unfriendly, and seemed to view customers as an irritant.

Staff in the pub though were brill.

No excessive nightly noise whilst we were there, and there are plenty of security staff on call.

The biggest problem with this site, and it is a problem that the sites owners have no control over, is the abnormally WINDY conditions that seem to be the norm.

We spoke to people on site about this, and they all agreed that this area is blighted by well above average wind speeds. (go into Skegness, and look out to sea, you will see massive wind farms).

The constant winds make it impossible to sit out at night, without shelter, and a BBQ is nigh on impossible, unless you construct a serious wind breaker.

Our wind breaker was blown down 4 times !

We would return here though for the great fishing, but will stick to times when its quiet, we would not return during school or bank holidays, as we reckon it would be too noisy/busy and cramped.

Just watch out for that never ending wind !

PS. Very close to this site is Butlins. We paid £10 per person to go into the site for a full day.

It was well worth the money as the swimming/funfair and entertainment were included in the price. Best day of our trip. Highly recommended. Just follow the signs for 'day guests'.

On arrival at the park you have to find a place to park and report to reception. After booking in you are then made to follow a landrover to an area of empty grass to pitch, depending on electric or not, there are no pitch markings or boundaries.

The site itself was quite clean and tidy as were the toilets and showers although they were small, only 4 toilet cubicles and 4 shower cubicles so queueing was inevitable.

We had to leave before we were due to because of family issues and whilst we were packing away another family were shown to our emptying pitch,

All in all not a bad park but could do with some segregation and separate pitches rather than a 'pitch where you can' type attitude.

Just returned from a lovely weekend here, yes the weather was great so that was a good starting point but we really enjoyed staying here.

On arrival we reported to reception and were directed to waiting point, warden came out of reception and advised us to follow him. We drove around the site all the way to the far end by the airfield. Advised to park-up and shown where to pitch and connect to EHU (and that our friends could pitch next to us but ensure we left 6m gap between tents).

The pitch was large and grassy, recently mown. We pitched with shelter from conifers which were surrounding an adjacent toilet cabin (locked). Site quiet on the friday night but few more arribed for saturday.

We weren't shown any toilets/showers or anything but don't really see the need, it was quite obvious where they were. When we visited they were basic but clean - what more do you need!. There were queues for showers at peak times but you get that anywhere.

On site bar and shop very reasonable, breakfast lovely on on site cafe. Nice chippy at end of road.

We'll be returning again in the future

THE best site in Skegness by far. The pitches are excellent, the grounds very well maintained with multiple/spotlessly clean toilet/shower blocks. The site has a small shop and a great pub. Ingoldmells and Skegness are both stones throw away but this site has a more upmarket feel about it (it even has its own airfield) We have visited the site many times now and will continue to return. For people that don't want the tacky seaside feel of ingoldmells or Skegness you can use this site as a base to explore the Gibraltar point nature reserve
