We went over the Bank Holiday weekend, even though the weather was rubbish, this site really was very pleasant.
The only down side to our whole weekend was the fact that there were only four ladies showers on the tent field and in the mornings queues formed around the toilet block, which was not pleasant and very upsetting for my teenage daughter. There is no where to get dressed when you have showered so at one point, with 20 people waiting and not one shower going tempers got quite raised in the very long queue, as people had to dress in the showers as well. This needs to be reviewed especially on a bank holiday.
The pub on site is really nice. If you are going to Fantasy Island / Ingoldmells walk its not far as we got stuck in traffic and it could have been avoided.

Our 1st visit to this site with our new fabric house.! The site was nice & clean showers & toilets were clean. The little ducks waddling around were very amusing. Not really close to anything within walking distance.Nothing for children to do. The pub on site on the Saturday evening was full. The back room was more for families but a singer singing elvis songs wasn't really our thing.
Nice site but not great.

We absolutely loved this site and I actually stayed on for 3 more nights than originally booked.
Upon arrival at 11.30am we were taken to our pitches (we went with my sister & family in her tourer 2) and got 2 pitches side by side. We were asked how close to all the amenities we wanted to be and were given our pitches directly opposite the on site bar, park and shop.
Considering we were so close to everything the site was so peaceful and relaxing. We never actually went into the bar but it was always busy, but we found that it was never that noisy.
You are in good walking distance from Ingoldmells and the nearest beach is only a 15 minute walk from the site. We made the walk into Ingoldmells twice and this was with my 4 year old son walking.
The toilet blocks were lovely and modern and usually always clean, however we did find that the 1 nearest to us was the one next to the bar and so in the mornings you would find them not to be that clean as people would block the sinks and leave rubbish all over the floor. However they were cleaned every morning without fail and the showers were lovely and warm (maybe a bit too hot for my son).
I cant really find any real negative points about this site other than the fact that if you would like a lie in, in the mornings and are pitched near to the entrance of the site (as we were) you will be woken early by the deliveries for the shop and the grass being cut at 8ish every morning.
We will definitely be visiting here again.

Fantastic huge campsite here. Although arrived on a very warm but very windy day had trouble putting my tent up a neighbour tried to help but to no avail the wind broke a pole which only knew about when we gave in and took it down as I cut my finger. Lady on reception was very nice and gave me a credit note which I used to extend a nights stay which I thought was very kind of her. I stayed off site with a friend the 1st night, must of been freak weather as a few tents were down and abandoned on return next day to put tent up with ease.
Very clean site staff were welcoming and showed you to your pitch. Showers were too hot for kids mind as no temp control and lack of loo rolls on early morn visit. Washing up facilities were press on taps so bit inconvenient when busy, no bowls or plugs so take your own. Lovely lake to walk round with ducks and fish that come to top of water and eat the bread too.
Massive site with plenty space very clean too. Pub and shop very good and park for kids shuts at 10pm. Perhaps a bit noisy on a night after closing time but tolerable. Brilliant site. We'll definitely be back.

Just returned today 16th Aug, from this site for the 3rd time, and I can't get enough of it myself, partner and his 15yr old daughter and my bow wow Jake all love it there.
Love this site cos though it was very busy loads of tent's you never struggle for room, our tent is 6 berth quite large with car parked next to it also had a large wind break up so had plenty of outside space for our chairs and cooking which was great. I love it there lots of loo's per block and showers sometimes get full but not a probb just walk to the next block there's to what I know of 4 blocks of loo's and showers.I wish people that stay there would be more respectful and clean up after themselves after using the sinks and loo's as I always do to help out the cleaners as they have a big enough job as it is takes seconds to do it as they have a hug amount of work to do, but they are clean.
We had glorious weather, it's superb there for kids, there was one minor incident on our 1st night some drunken young folk mouthing of but pleased to say the security were there within minutes and sorted the whole thing out, nice to know they there!
We like Cheer's just up the lane as we can eat and drink in there and take our beloved dog in with us too. The shop by Cheer's is the best shop very friendly lady works there all staff in that shop are nice and it's cheaper then the shop on site so recommender that to people.
Love the site cheap and very friendly and SAFE!

Just back from an initial 1 week stay, but I think it says it all when we stayed for 2! aside from other reviews about the not to pleasant reception staff, other reviews we read before going are pretty much spot on. The toilet blocks were clean most of the time (you can't help having some mindless people) but the showers, although free to use are a bit temperature temperamental and the mirrors at the wash basins are just the right height for an average 5 year old, lol, the rest of the site is clean and tidy and the pub food was superb.
A 5 minute walk from the entrance is a bus stop and buses are so regular you do not need a car when you are there as public transport we found to be excellent, the kids playground is not bad but too far away from furthest camping areas for our 9 year old to get to by herself. A well stocked shop and 'market stall' provide most essentials and there are shops, pub/amusement arcade and chippy within easy walking distance.
The beach is a nice stroll also and is very clean with sea front pubs and shops, overall a pleasant place to stay and an area well worth exploring if you have never been there.

We have been using this site for many years for our family holiday now,and LOVE it.Upon arrival we have always been dealt with promptly and courteously by well presented, polite staff.
Siting is carried out by being led to your pitch by a staff member in a land rover or van and if you are on foot they even take you and your luggage. As this is primarily a family site young people/single sex groups are assigned a field of their own so there is rarely a problem with noise. We have found that the best area to be on is the section between the fishing and water skiing lakes as it is well sheltered and not far from a toilet/shower block and close(ish)to the entrance/shop/play area/pub. There are good roads around the site and the speed limit is enforced with persistent offenders asked to leave. The grass throughout is kept short which makes life easier when erecting or taking down your tent. Rubbish is disposed of by way of wheely bins that are emptied daily. Pitches are of a good size and you do get reminded not to pitch too close together in case of fire.
The showers/toilet blocks I have always found to be kept to a high standard even though some people tend to let their own standards fall a little when someone else has to pick up after them, with plenty of hot water and being FREE which many I've come across are not. You can usually hear a land rover making irregular patrols around the site throughout the night which gives peace of mind to know that you and your family are safe.
The shop although small is well stocked with the basics, the pub is always busy with a good atmosphere and fair prices. The large children's play area is also a big hit with my 2 boys as they can climb/swing and slide to their hearts content.
The location of the site is perfect as its close to Ingoldmells village, Butlins and fantasy island via foot, car or bus.Skegness is only a few minutes drive away although at certain times it can take a lot longer. The beach is only a 10 to 20 minute wander away and is clean and well kept. Recomended is the beachcomber pub where you can get a meal as well as a drink and sit right on the sea front, slightly more expensive than I like though.
All in all we would rate this site as one of the best and have only had one poor holiday but that was due to weather not location, that holiday taught us to only pay for 2 nights ground rent at a time instead of all up front as we had such bad conditions we had to leave in the middle of the night and lost 4 days. Every year we go back there have been improvements made during the winter and the staff remember us which impresses us no end. The only criticism I have is people driving on site after drinking in the pub as though it doesn't matter because they are on private property but that is down to them not the site as I said some peoples standards seem to slip away from home.

We have visited this site several times as we are familiar with the area and wanted to make our first few camping expeditions as easy as possible.
The site is really nice, plenty of space and easy to navigate.
The toilets are clean and well looked after and the site itself is maintained to a high standard.
The only issues I have with this site is that there doesn't seem to be enough electric pitches and their customer service leaves a little to be desired.
It is in a good location for a nice walk to fantasy island or Skegvegas but as with a lot of coastal sites - there is a lack of good food so go prepared - or go to morrisons and stock up (unless you don't mind a weekend of eating crap!)
This is a good site for a starter as it is easy, nice and flat.
Would visit again for location - the kids love it but if it was just for me and the hubby, would probably venture elsewhere.

We have been seasonal on this site for 3 years now and it has to be one of the best sites around. It is very well maintained, spotlessly clean and caravans are given the most room we have ever had on a site in 40 years of caravanning.
The Barn in offers meals and entertainment tho drink prices are a little high. There is a Snack Bar, small shop and a recently refurbished children's playground.
The toilet and showers are immaculate being cleaned twice a day.
For the avid fisherman the Fishing lake contains Carp to 21 lbs as well as other species. If you are into Waterskiing the cable ski is also on site.
In spite of all this activity it is a peaceful site and very safe , being patrolled at night.
The prices are reasonable for a seaside park as well. Go with confidence.

This site pretty much has the monopoly on campsites (for tents) in Skeggy. I've been really busy at work at the moment so after a mad rush leaving work on Thursday night (for a long weekend) and after a puncture on the way there - we didn't arrive until 9.10pm.
It was still light and people were still playing cricket on the fields etc - but we were laughed at when we asked if we could pitch. I know it was late but the tent field was empty and enormous so there would be no-one to disturb while we put our tent up. We camp as we are on a limited budget so when the guy told us to go away until the following morning, we were gutted! We havent had a holiday yet this year so our 3 day weekend was eagerly anticipated.
We had to drive into the town and luckily found a cheap b n b for the night but it took most of out weekend spending money.
When we went back to the site the morning after, we asked how stringent they were with the 11am leaving time. We wanted to enjoy a bit more time having lost a night. The young guy in his new landrover said oh yea - don't worry, you can stay longer we don't mind - we smiled - things were looking up - and then he said, if you stay after 11am - you just need to pay half a day to stay until the afternoon!
The campsite wont freeze your icepacks - its against health and safety said the lady in the shop - so the food we had brought was off by Sunday!
The toilets were blocked on Saturday night and there wasn't any loo roll from Sat night until 10am Sunday morning - when someone blocked another loo!
Chemical emptying in an old loo in an open cubicle next to the loos - not nice.
No plug sockets or hairdryers.
There was an off sewerage whiff quite often blowing around - not sure where from?
A long moan I know, and we all say it but I'm not a moaner - but this site was the least camper friendly I have known - and if they cant make money from it - they wont offer it or have it.

My husband and I, our two children aged 10 and 13 all agreed this is the best site I have ever stayed on.
Nice, clean and warm showers. Our block also had private wash basin cubicles. Also area to plug in hairdryer and mirrored area.
Well stocked shop.
Lovely country style pub that serves good food.
Cafe.
Very good kids play area.
It had the water skiing which was good to watch being as I wasn’t brave enough! And it was also fun to watch the planes landing and taking off on the airfield.
Fishing lake.
It was a nice 10 minute stroll down the lane to a shop, chippy and two pubs. It is also across the road from Butlins if you fancy buying a day pass. A further 10 minutes stroll under a subway is another 3 pubs that serve good food, kids entertainment, arcades and last but not least the beach.
Half hour walk away is Fantasy Island for shopping, amusements, rides, eating and drinking.
The only negatives I have about this site are;
The pot wash facility is in a sheltered outside area. When the wind was blowing I got wetter than the pots!
Lots of dog poo. This is due to neglectful dog owners and not the sites fault.
I will definitely be booking again to go next year.

Just back from this site. We were very impressed at the efficiency of the staff at getting you to your pitch and checking in. They take a jeep out and you follow it to your pitch. No hunting for numbers here! Mind finding it yourself would be difficult this site is HUGE!
We had a pitch for a 6 berth tent with hook up. 2 adults 1 infant charged at £21 per night in July. We had a huge pitch but they put us right next to the road which was somewhat troublesome with a young toddler. Plenty of trees around to shelter from the wind. Immaculate toilets and showers but the toilet block got so hot and the water in the showers was so hot that I wouldn't see them suitable for young children. You could not change the temperature on the showers as they were push button. The park area was fantastic, so clean new and safe. Our 18 month old loved it. Pub and coffee shop looked nice but we didn't use it. Areas are all landscaped really nicely and grass kept short. There is a huge hill which all the children seemed to love and our son adored feeding the ducks and huge fish. Shop ok but only stocked the real basics.
We had lots and lots of noise on our first night especially at kicking out time from the pub. People just walking by literally shouting. This may have been avoided if we were not pitched by the road I guess. One party of tenters opposite yelling until 2.45am so I was not impressed. 2nd night much quieter. Little noise after 11pm. This site is so well located. Across the road from Butlins and easy driving to skeggy and fantasy island. We really enjoyed it despite being unlucky with noise. We will certainly use this site again when returning next season.

We stopped here to visit our friends who also had caravans on static sites, we arrived late though, as our jeep had broken down mid journey (reception where very helpful though - actually arranged a jump start on site -to get us to our pitch) (then we could arrange to fix the jeep the next day).
The site was very clean, and not too pricey either. There was a nice family bar and a small cafe too. Toilet block with showers, which were clean. Large fishing lake, with ducks to feed.
We had to book an extra night, as the jeep couldn't be fixed, at that point.
There's a 5 minute walk to the front with loads of shops, pubs cafes, etc
We would book in there again definitely, as it was central to everything.

This is the second time we have stayed here and again really enjoyed it.
The site has a shop which has a variety of things on offer. There is also a pub on site which serves meals.
The toilet blocks are immaculate and always very clean whenever you visit them.
It is a really big site but it never seems like there are too many people there, I have never once had to cue for the showers even though we have stayed here both times on a Bank Holiday. I would definitely recommend this site.
We went for a walk one day, and you come out of the site and across the road and down a lane, you come to the sea, only about 20 minutes and you are there.
