Just back from a 3 night break here and for £67-50 with EHU I was pleasantly surprised.

The showerblock/toilets were spotless and well maintained, plenty of hot water and no matter what time I went there was no waiting.

There is a small shop on site selling the usual provisions, bread, milk, etc, a coffee shop that does delicious tea and scones. Mmmm scones. Ahem, and a bar called 'The Barn Inn' which I was surprised at as it only charges £2-30 a pint, I am used to paying in excess of £3.

The water-ski lake is also worth a visit, my son had a go and at £14 I thought it was a bit steep, but that includes all the equipment and tuition and it really made his holiday as he has talked of nothing else since we got back.

I would recommend this place to anyone and yes there are 1 or 2 'issues' like the wind, the site is very open and exposed and the camping pitches are along way from the play park.

May I just add that the staff were helpful in the reception and told me about lots of different things about the area and even where the cheapest places to park when visiting fantasy Island, skegness and Mablethorpe.

Went for a weekend to the park.

Pitches are very spacious. Shown to Pitch by warden and assisted to park the caravan. Plenty of room for caravan and awning.

Washroom/toilets in the reception area were clean. There were two showers in that unit but its just a shower unit without seating area so you could get you things wet/be difficult to sort yourself out.

There are other blocks around but not sure what they were like.

There is a lovely park for the children to play in with swings, climbers, slides, see saw with the soft play floor. Very nice it is and next door is the bar so you can sit in or outside while the children play. They also served food but didn't have any. Sunday lunch was around £5. 95.

It is a lovely park with loads of space. We walked up to a big mound in the park where you can see for miles around. Next to the mound is a small aerodrome. We were lucky enough to see two biplanes take off. Also saw a helicopter take off and it flew right over us.

Butlins is only up the road a short walk so ideal for a day out if you want. Ingoldmells is within walking distance too (well we don't mind walking so a mile or two is nothing to us). Eastgate market and Fantasy Island all situated in Ingoldmells along with various pubs, arcades, entertainment centres etc. Fish and chip shop located about 500mt from park entrance at the top of the road, but didn't try as felt they were too expensive.

I would definitely return without hesitation. If you are happy to make your own entertainment then this park is for you.

Went here for the Royal Wedding Bank Holiday.

Site was busy, was led to the end of the park and told to pitch either on the right or on the left. We were left to it and had to find toilets, shower block and washing up ourselves. High winds were forecast so we tried to pitch as near to some trees as we could.

Plenty of room round pitches as no one would pitch in the middle, we were right at the very back of the site near the airfield, so experienced some noise.

Wont be going back, too far away from the pub, play park etc. Staff not very helpful. We went to reception to ask where we freeze our packs to be told there wasn't anywhere! They advised us to buy bags of ice.

At £19.50 per night (non EHU) don't think this site is worth it.

 Had 3 nights here.

Huge site. Had to wait until we were 'taken' to our pitch by jeep and driver, he was busy chatting to his colleagues for 10 mins.

Left to it when shown the pitch. Had to find our way round for water etc. Not very easy to find when the light is fading and it's almost dark. Ended up walking what seemed like miles to get the water. A bit of a pointer would have been nice from the staff. Nothing.

Has a play park next to the bar/club house area, which was nice. Ment the kids could play while we had a quick drink.

Site is in the middle of lots of other sites, butlins and Ingolmells are not far.

Toilet block was clean but washing facilities are not adequate as you have nowhere to drain pots ( Only to put them on the floor).

Would not return here, think there as better in the area.

Just come back from 4 nights camping over the bank holiday. The site was very full. Very good value for money only 74 pounds for 5 of us. The pub on site the Barn Inn did excellent food and always had entertainment for the kids.Local shop for food and site has a few camping supplies and gas canisters etc. Shower and toilet blocks kept clean considering how busy it was, there was sometimes a queue but that was to be expected. Site nice and clean and very well maintained. Always hot water for washing up. Close to butlins and skegness beach although the site had fishing lake and waterskiing. The staff very friendly and helpful. Have already booked for May and July. Also big pitches so lots of privacy.

Brilliant holiday, great value for money and site brilliant. Went for 2 nights only in a tent with 5 children. Was shown to site on arrival. Lots of toilet blocks and showers around site. Childrens play area brilliant- loads to do in park for children. Didnt go to the on site pub 'The Barn inn' but heard it was great and loads of entertainment. Shop on site great and coffee shop too and also a small tent erected that you can buy small gifts from- buckets and spades, personalised cups. Office staff not too bad- can be a bit to the point, but one man was great and it has loads of information. Right opposite Butlins too. Has a small fish and chip shop just outside the site and also a small shop inside and out for groceries. The only thing that I can think that this site needs to make it excellent and 10 stars for me is a swimming pool. I would definitely go again and am planning my next visit! xxx

When have just stayed at this great site for 4 nights.

When we arrived did all the normal things like paid was shown to our pitch by a very helpful staff. But where we was shown to was VERY windy so we asked to be moved. Was told to pick a place and just let us know. So we did.

There are plenty of shower and toilet blocks on the site which is good when you have children, the toilets were always clean and tidy and were cleaned and checked regular by staff and the showers were hot enough.

The Barn Inn was a very good pub the foods was

Very good. Great staff great beer.

The children's park is just what you need in a pub to keep the children busy.

The campsite is in the middle of Ingoldmells and Skegness but there is a very good bus services.

I could go on and on about this site but I would and will return here.

This was our second visit to water leisure and as last time, we really enjoyed it.

You are shown to your pitch, and we were given one right next to the lake, this was nice as we could watch those brave enough to water ski and it also meant we were right next to the shower block, with washing up section as well.

We never had to wait for showers despite the site being busy, and there was always loo roll. As someone else mentioned, the play area is quite far away from a lot of the tent pitches, and it would be great if the site considered a second play area as it is a very large site.

There are lots of ducks and geese to feed on the lake (and also lots of fish who love bread too!)

The shop has a good selection and the prices to me seemed the same as most sites.

The on site pub served nice enough pub grub, but we tended to go to CHEERS down the road as they have sky sports (food nice here 2)

All in all we love this site, the only thing that was a negative for our weekend was a group (about 12 tents all together) who left their teenage children to there own devices quite late on the Saturday night, they were hanging around outside the toilets and one girl clearly drunk, was sick, I don't mind people having a good time, but you are supposed to keep noise down after 10:30, and this was well after midnight. I was also woken at about 2am by what I think was a father and his son, and the son was shouting at swearing at the top of his voice.

None of the above of course are the fault of the site, just inconsiderate campers!

When we arrived at the site the staff were friendly and helpful, the staff led us in their jeep to show us where to pitch, the pitch was large enough and very even. The weather got a bit windy at one point so our tent took a bit of a beating as there was not many trees or barriers to break the wind that much.

There are plenty of shower and toilet blocks on the site which is good when you have young children, the toilets were always clean and tidy and were cleaned and checked regular by staff and the showers were hot enough, although they had the cut off taps which was quite annoying at times.

The shop on site was ample enough for our day to day needs and for the children to have to treats, but I found that I had to go and do a proper shop from the supermarket in town.

The Barn Inn was a good pub for the site and had some games for the children to play but was disappointed that they had live singers on every night, and not enough entertainment for the children like discos and karaoke.

My major down points of the site would be that there was not enough for young children to do, the only park on site is by the reception area which was too far away from the tent field, and also with there being no swimming pool we found ourselves spending most of the holiday off the campsite to find things to do during the day and in the evening.

Next to the tent field is also a farm so we were faced with the smell of manure and sewage most of the time.

Although the site itself is brilliant for the pitch and surroundings I do not think that we would return here due to the facilities and entertainment for the children.

Just returned having spent a week on this lovely site.

When we arrived we were pitched in the corner the furthest away from reception/play area next to the airstrip with no neighbours (we wanted some neighbours so the children could make friends!). We were told that the area we were pitched in would get busy over the next couple of days, it didn't, but to be honest this was a blessing, we got talking to some people who had 'very noisy neighbours'. The noise from the air strip was minimal, we were only woken one morning by one plane taking off. The geese however on the site are quite noisy in the morning, take some earplugs!

Onto the site itself.

There are plenty of toilet/shower blocks which are clean and had a constant flow of hot water. The showers don't stay on all the time they operate on a push button system however this is not a problem. The site was very busy and we never had to queue for a shower and I never saw any queues for the showers or toilets.

The site has laundry facilities, we never used them but understand they are quite expensive to use.

Each shower block has outside washing facilities but to be honest these could be a lot better thought out and none of the sinks had any plugs, either take a plug or make sure you have a bowl to wash up in!

Our children took their bikes, the site has roads with a speed limit on, so riding their bikes was not a problem.

The Barn Inn on site is very nice, we ate there once which was reasonable in price, the food I would say was average. The playground is good for the children, it attached to the Barn Inn and closes at 10:30pm. There is a small shop on site to buy provisions although is quite pricey! There is a shop just down the road which is a little better priced.

The site also has security which operate during the day and on an evening. Somebody complained about a roudy group of 'early 20s' playing football against the toilet block (the ball nearly hit his child) and they were told by security to stop or else they would be thrown out.

We didn't use the waterski facility but understand that you pay £17 for an hour which seems reasonable. It looked good fun.

Anyway enough of my waffling, hope this review will be useful. I would recommend this site and would return if I was to return to the area.

We chose this site as we wanted all singing all dancing for one night of our two week tour.

We phoned and checked availability and being midweek before the school hols, there was plenty of space, so we made our way to the site

Check in was quick and efficient and they soon had our money and walked us to our pitch. They did not advise where any of the facilities were and left us to find the water, facilities block, shop, etc.

The guy on reception is a stickler for the rules and insisted that the driveaway awning I had had to be attached to the campervan, rather than just free standing next to it. I solved this by turning it round, which was annoying, but health and safety is king. We were then closer to the next pitch, but fortunately nobody was on the next pitch. He also had no clue about which pitches were good and which were not, we asked which were the best and he said that they were all the same. This was not the case as some were by the road, some had non ehu and some were spacious, some near facilities etc.

They pitched us next to the car park which was not great as it was noisy, but the views across the camping field were nice and as the site was pretty empty was quite enjoyable. The pitches were flat and had electric. There were a lot of better pitches, but I think they were just being lazy giving us the nearest pitch as we were just one nighters. Shame and I would have picked one of the pitches next to the lake or trees. They knew we had a dog and put us the furthest from the dog walk area too.

The shop is fairly well stocked with all the basics and more and there is a camping accessory store on site. I did not buy anything from there, and did not look so cannot comment on the prices and range.

There is a lake on site that is round and has automatic water skiing on it, similar to a ski slope cable and it pulls you around, it looked great. There is also a railway and air strip. Neither were operating when we were here

The facilities in block 2 were clean, tidy and very usable. The ones nearest the shop were ok, they did the job. No shower curtain, no temperature control, but were very hot and very powerful and got us clean.

The pub was ok, typical cheesy cabaret which people seemed to enjoy, but the food in there was not the best. Cheap but not that good. A ploughmans with no salad made interesting eating, and with stale bread. But that aside the lasagne was ok and the chips good. Cheap drinks.

Not very near either Skeggy main promenade or the Pleasure Land, but you can walk either in around 30 minutes.

I would not return, simply because it was too large for my liking and did not have the personal touch from the staff. £20 for a night for a motorhome, 2 people, ehu and a dog.

I rang on the friday morning to see if they had 2 electric hook ups and was told they had plenty of space so just to turn up (I was a little worried thinking what if we get there with the kids and they are full as we couldn't leave early due to work ). On arrival there were 2 guys in reception who were very pleasant and they did have space

We were shown to our pitches as we had 2 tents and were put next to each other, found the park to be very tidy, toilet block clean showers hot no complaints whatsoever. Other campers were very friendly. The security was good ( jeeps driving round )

The park was situated away from the main road but was close enough to visit both ingoldmells and skegness. We didn't use the bar this visit so cant comment except to say it was very busy both nights as was the children's play area

The guys on the ski activity were very helpful and I enjoyed watching the lads on the water. All in all a very nice site, thoroughly enjoyed by all of us and we cant wait to go back

Got to say excellent time here and the weather did help as it was red hot all week

The toilets were nice and clean, but needs some where for you to get changed after, as we ran back to the tent in our towels and this is hard with a four year old

Apart from this great site, also has a ski cable which is really good. We are booking another 10 days here in the holidays and cant wait!

Was unsure of what to expect as I went without my husband as he was working. Was pleasantly surprised at how helpful everyone was. The toilets and showers were cleaned frequently and were of a good standard and we had a good space to set up camp and play.

My girls loved the exciting play area. What I was most impressed with was how safe I felt as I could here the sites jeep doing the rounds after dark.

The only negative point was the food on site being a bit pricey but there was plenty of other places to eat off site! Will definitely be returning during the summer holidays.

Was disappointed in over all condition of site. Toilet clean until staff not there. Then usual unruly kids messing about. Disable toilet not good, cold in the shower room and no hot water, and no chair. Can see site is have changes made to it.

Also was disappointed that there was no security on site. Fishing lake looks like it is in a project may be good when done. Understand new owners hope they look at reviews and make some improvements
