July 2005 We have stayed at this site several times now and have always found it clean and quiet even during the peak periods and weekends. The site has water skiing, a very well stocked fishing lake, a kiddies play area, an airport(!), a shop, a pub, about a million acres for kicking balls and flying kites etc, a chippie is nearby and the beach is 10 minutes walk, a bus runs between fantasy island and skeggy stopping just outside the park every 10 minutes till late. This park is so big you dont need to book unless you want an electric hookup. This is a great site which I highly recomend.
July 2005 We stayed at this site as our first choice of site was full, although this was the first time here for my family, I have stayed here before, back in the years when it first opened, it has changed cosiderably and you can see the work that has been put into enhancing the site facilities. It costs £13.00 per night for a basic tent pitch with a family of four, showers were free.
My husband and son enjoyed the fishing lake which was reasonably priced, we didn't use the pub, cafe, or park as we spent most of our time at fantasy island a short drive away. Was not too keen on the airplane runway that was situated close to our tent pitch or the large amount of overgrown ducks constantly quacking that seemed to take over the campsite especially in the early hours of the morning, also an awful lot of duck poo wherever we walked!!!!
We were given a spacious pitch though and were able to watch the water skiing from where we were pitched. this site is ideal for both Ingoldmells and Skegness and would consider returning in the future.
June 2005 So far this year we have returned to this site three times. We stayed for week then had two weekends since, again we enjoyed our stay, although the weather left alot to be desired this did not spoil our stay.
The showers are now free and always clean as are the toilets. It is a very well kept site with plenty to do close by,yet its far enough away from the main drag to keep the rowdey element away.
We will be returning again in August for a week and a few short breakslater in the year.
May 2005 Went on the bank holiday for four nights and had a great time. Stayed at the end of the site ,next to the cable ski`s. The Barn pub is good ,although you can go to Cheers ,down the road, or if want to walk a little further you can go to the three bars ,chippie ,arcade at the beach ( via a underpass ). Ideal place to stop ,with local places to visit not far away.
The site is very well spaced out and you are taken to your pitch.Showers and washing facilities are good although at peak times got only luke warm ( but it was a full site at the time.)
There is coffee shop,a park ( next to pub.),small shop and even a hair salon (that`s to keep the women happy, cause the blokes will be at the pub across the patio). Will definitly going back to this site.
March 2005 Spent 2 nights here over Easter at short notice. Impressed that we were able to get a pitch without booking for our motorhome. We didnt manage to get electric hook-up as they were all booked. There were quite a lot of unused electric points however we weren't allowed to use them as they belonged to tourers that had paid for the seasonal pitch and had obviously decided to avoid the busy bank holiday period. Bit miffed that we couldnt just plug in but thats a testament to the site I suppose that they didnt take our money and kept the points available for the people who'd paid for their use just in case they turned up. The site was very clean, nice and flat, the toilets were clean and warm, free showers too. Some brave soul was water skiing on the lake, looked like fun but still a bit on the cold side for my liking. The pub on the site was full although we didnt get in until quite late so we couldn't get into the entertainment side. I understand its been extended but it wasnt big enough to accomodate the site, then again there is quite a lot of choice nearby and not everyone would choose to stay on site. We went to the Cheers bar at the end of the lane one night and enjoyed it, there was a disco for the kids upstairs, not too loud that you couldn't hold a conversation though. There is a small amusement arcade downstairs in the conservatory and food was being served. The DJ upstairs played a few games of bingo and then turned into the pub singer , he was very good aswell. The site is close enough to walk to Fantasy Island, it is a good walk though. There is a bus stop at the top of the lane but being bank holiday the traffic was heavy and we could walk it quicker. All in all I would definately go back.
August 2004 I found the site very clean, all the staff were friendly, the pub and the shop that were onsite were reasonably priced, the only gripe I have about this site is that it's home to the skegness aero club, so aircraft were flying over the tents to land on the runway which is cordened off with rope, there are no signs saying that is is a runway and it could be easy for children to get on there(not safe) I wont be returning.
August 2004 Stayed here for 1 night in the field next to the airfield. Large pitch with toilets and showers only a few minutes walk. Showers are 20p and when we visted only 2 of the 4 womens showers worked, hence abit of a queue. Great location as a bus runs directly to Skegness from the end of the road and you can walk to fantasy island from the site. Although we didnt use it, the site had a nice looking pub and a kids play area. Would definately stay here again.
August 2004 Just returned from a 4 day visit, what an excellent site this is. Everything you need is on the site, Skegness is a short drive away and the kids can play safely. The pitch was good, nice and level, toilets and showers were spotless. At £12.50 per night for two adults two kids and a large family tent quite good value.
July 2003 & Sept 2003. Absolutely lovely site, child friendly, very good ammenities, Shower & toilet blocks etc, spotlessly clean, Olde worlde pub restuarant, very good entertainment on both occasions we visited. Small grocery shop & Hairdressers. Fishing on site - literally only a few yards away, water skiing. It felt a very safe & friendly site. Eastgate Market & fantasy Island just up the road & beach about 5 mins walk. Going back again this year.

July2002 Very nice camping site. Everything you need if you have chilren, park on site, a cafe, a shop, showers etc. Been going for years first with my own children now with my grand chilren, but this yea rthe price has increased from £9 per tent to £16.50, which is a lot because that's just for two adults and two children. You have to pay extra for any other person per night which is a shame as I will not be going this year because of that reason. I take all four off my grandkids cannot leave any out, but it is a really nice place to go. Make sure you have plenty off 20p's for the showers lol.

May 2002 Brill site, we go every year £9 per night, clean and well maintained site. Kids love the play area which is just outside the pub on site which does great meals and barbies in the summer. Its a nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Ingoldmells which is only a short walk away and just across from Butlins, and there's plenty of pubs in the surrounding area to keep you entertained. Well worth a visit.

Just across from Butliz is a small lane, the site is down that lane 133 Acres of Grass and water, 200 electric hook-ups available on site are fishing (day ticket),water skiing (towline), laundry, shop, coffee shop, restaurant, and The Barn Inn. Ideal for Butlins and touring. the only price I can find is for 1996 which was £5.50 for a family tent (4 persons) per night . As I remember, It was a huge site, but There were a few statics there. They were building a new tiolet/shower block 3 years ago (our last visit)
Security seemed to be good, with guards with dogs patroling the site. The site is so big, with plenty of space between 'vans, that the inn cannot be seen from the campsite side. Although there are lots of sites around Ingoldmells, many are now static only there are very few that are for campers and tourers within walking distance most are well out of town apart from Hardies in the middle of Ingoldmells and they only take vans (and mobile homes /campervans) not tents.
Skegness Tourist information does give out info on campsites 01754 764821 and ask them if they can help . We tend to go out of Skeggy and commute in by bike as car parking is extortionate and not sufficient for the area .
