Very clean, well laid out site. Facilities good with a handy laundry. Reception very welcoming and helpful.
Lots of places to walk the dog without going on the road. Close to Stirling with good bus service.

This was a much larger and more family-orientated than our usual choice of site, but we had an enjoyable overnight stay.
Despite being almost full (a surpise at the end of Sept in not great weather) it coped well. It's an extremely well laid out and maintained site.
On edge of woods for dog walks. Free good WiFi. Good children’s play area, baby bath in toilets etc. Close to Wallace monument and Stirling centre, and a good stop off point.

This is a very picturesque site on the outskirts of Stirling. Sheltered by large crags & surrounded by fields full of highland cattle this would have been an ideal site except for the noise from the busy road which runs alongside one edge of the park.
The facilities on-site were spotlessly clean, if a little dated, & the overall site was well maintained.
A great site for a short/overnight stay.
We had booked for four nights but left a day early due to a forecast of torrential rain, gales & flooding.
When we told the owners we were leaving they kindly refunded us one night's fees saying they would have been worried if we had not left when we did.
I would use this site again as a stop over when visiting the highlands of Scotland.

We visited Witches Craig for three nights in July and found it to be one of the best sites we have encountered. It was easy to find, clean and well maintained. The check in process was quick and easy and we were soon sited on a very large pitch with great views of the surrounding hills.
The toilet and shower block was clean and warm, never too busy and the hairdryer was free. The motorhome service point was conveniently located nearby but off the road and out of the way. Everything was easy to find and easy to use. Wifi was free but we found the signal, and also the EE phone signal to be a bit patchy. No problems with the satellite TV signal though.
There were lots of great walks around the site and we also walked to the nearby farmshop (a bit expensive) and into Bridge of Allan for a very entertaining evening of live music at the Allanwater Brewery. I think we got a bit lost taking the shortcut though as it was almost three miles. The pub organised us a taxi back at the end of the evening and they were happy to take our dog too.
We look forward to returning as we didn't get the chance to explore beyond the local area and didn't get to see Stirling or the castle and only saw the monument from a distance. So plenty of reasons to go back. I just hope that next time the weather is better too!

A splendid site with beautiful views of the hills. All is well maintained and cleaned, with helpful staff arranging bread, papers etc.
Regular buses to Stirling are just a couple of minutes walk away.
Admission to Stirling Castle (free for EH members) includes the adjacent Argyle's house.

This was our 2nd visit and it is a wonderful campsite and we were hoping to visit again this week but due to Covid 19 we are holidaying at home.
This campsite is very well maintained, very clean and the owner is very friendly. It is close to tourist attractions in and around Stirling, we did a small tour around the area doing the Andy Scott sculpture trail and the campsite was the perfect location for this.

Nearly perfect.
Very friendly owners, plenty of time to spend with you explaining about the site. Site is well laid out with large pitches, was mainly caravans but all very friendly.
Lovely dog walk out the back of the site, which our boys really enjoyed having been cooped up all day.
Utility block was very clean and well appointed (child loo seats and baby bath provided, never seen that before)
Only slight downside, and possibly only a problem to us as we live in a very remote area, was the road noise. Nobody else seemed to hear it.
Hugh play area for children.
Fresh milk, bread and newspapers can be ordered at reception.
Watch out for the blue tits nesting in the cigarette bin:)

Stayed here for the first 2 nights of our motorhome trip, friendly welcome on arrival although a bit of confusion as we appeared to have 2 bookings but this was quickly sorted out. Site appeared very tidy and well kept, our pitch was ok but quite near the road so quite a bit of road noise which went on into the night.
Toilets/showers were ok but not sure how they won toilet of the year as it was hard to find a seat that actually fitted! And they weren't particularly clean but you cannot blame the site for this as Veda worked hard it appeared to be the other guests who didn't care.
However the site was picked purely for its location as we wanted to visit Stirling Castle, which is amazing and well worth a visit. We got the bus into town and a very reasonable taxi back. The site is in a lovely location in the ochill hills and looked especially gorgeous in the sunshine, just a shame some of the other guests didn't appreciate how hard Veda works!

Very nice site. Free WiFi. Good tv reception. Good phone signal. Easy access. You will need rock pegs for awnings.
Nice clean showers and toilets. Though I thought they should have had a toilet block for the camping field. Views of the Wallace monument and surrounding hills. Used as a base for visiting the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel. You could order newspaper’s and bread from reception, not sure about milk. ?
Water and waste easily accessible near pitch, but to empty chemical toilet you had to walk quite a distance or put it in car to go beyond the toilet and shower block to the empty point.

We booked in advance as we were visiting Stirling for the Highland Games. The lady at check in was lovely and helpful, and the reception area had lots of local information. You could even order bread / papers in the morning.
The site itself is really pretty with lots of flowers, shrubs separating the pitches (our pitch was very large). Our 9 year old enjoyed the playground on site.
The toilet / shower facilities were clean, although we did have to queue for the shower. The motorhome facilities were also very good, all contained in a separate area.
Lovely site, would recommend.

This is a great site, the previous reviews have summed up this site brilliantly. Spacious pitches, very well maintained.
We had used the hard standing area with hook up, and yes had to use rock pegs to hold the awning down. Water points were available through out the site.
As for the play par, we never saw the wee 1 and had to go and collect her for meals and bedtime. It's surface was rubber pieces which was very spongy, and would cushion any falls.
Toilets were always clean, and although not many, never seemed busy. A second block nearer the tent area would make this site complete
The staff were very knowledgeable of the local area, and friendly.

I have just returned from 5 enjoyable nights at Witches Craig.
The site is well laid out with well cared for grass pitches for tents and hard standings for caravans/motorhomes. There were a few dips in the grass that tended to hold water when it rained, but most campers know better than to pitch a tent in a dip so this was not a problem.
The facilities were spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Although there is not a comprehensive shop on site there are shops, supermarkets and cafés within about 10 minutes drive.

We stayed here for one night only, en route from Loch Ness Shores towards southern England, so had no opportunity to check many of the facilities around the site or the sightseeing close by. Reception was friendly and allocated us a good pitch away from the road. Some shrubbery or similar to separate the pitches would be nice, but spacing is good. Traffic noise wasn’t a problem at night although there was a fair amount of commuter traffic at the nearby roundabout during rush-hours.
The site is very level and set below a steep hillside/cliff from which the pitches were separated by a strip of woodland. Part of this was the dog-walk. Although there is a good playground for children it was good to see the enjoyment children were also getting from playing in the woodland, swinging from tree-branches etc.
Reception sells basics but there’s a large superstore within 5-10 minutes drive. We can imagine this is a good family centre for touring the area.
