This is the second time we have camped here, the first being in 2006 when we were young and newly married! This time we had 2 rugrats in tow!
It was still as good as the first time. The boys loved it, able to go to and from the play park. Nestled in the hills with a view of the Wallace Monument.
There is a small shop on site for essentials but there are a few large supermarkets up the road for stocking up.
The staff/owners are so helpful. Toilet facilities are always clean, a fridge etc available for use. Everything you could need.
I'm hoping we can get back up again this year.

This is a great site and the scenery was very nice, set in front of hills. The park was very neat a tidy and there is certainly a great deal of pride from the staff. The lady on reception was fantastic, very helpful and can help and advise you on local attractions that you wish to visit.
There is a great play park for the kids, small assault course, climbing frame with chutes, swings and a see-saw. The park is covered in recycled tyres so the kids are very safe from any bumps and falls, it’s also secluded. The park has tarmac and its good for the kids with bikes and scooters to play on. Toilets are very clean, heated with music. The Elsan area is good with a sink to wash your hand afterwards.
Only main point to remember is rock pegs, boy the ground is tough. But on the bright side the awning isn't going anywhere.
Attractions: To many to list, William Wallace, Falkirk Wheel, Kelpies, Loch Lomond, Edinburgh, Glasgow all less than an hr by road.
Close by: Pizza Hut, McD’s, BK, Halfords, Morrisons, Argos. (retail pack about 2 miles away)
10/10…. I’ll be going back in 2016.

Excellent site, very well set out spacious pitches. Very warm welcome on arrival.
Good security with barriers in and out of the site, and key pads on the toilet/shower block. All very clean with music playing.
Free wi if was very handy for planning next stage of our trip.
In a nice setting with mountains behind and a nice view of the Wallace monument which is only 2 miles away. Only stayed one night as a stop over but would stay longer if in the area again.

Easy to get to; on the main road that runs by the Ochil Hills road from Dollar to Stirling. Bus stop on the road. Friendly staff. Pitches level and gravel, tents on grass. One toilet/shower block with laundry. Inside it needed a good deep clean. They were cleaned daily, but small flies and general dirt that builds over time, let it down. We had a pitch looking over to the Ochil cliffs where we saw Ravens every morning and to the rear, views of Wallace's monument. No privacy between pitches where we were. Could do with a bit more vegetation. Barrier to get in and out.

We phoned to book the day we wanted to arrive. Last weekend of Easter holidays. The receptionist took our details and said she would see us when we arrived. The receptionist was very helpful. We were shown where the electric hook up points were and asked to choose our pitch. We were asked if we need a longer cable for the hook up. As we were unsure we took it. The lovely lady told us to pitch our tent then come back with our details. We pitched our tent and all was very good. Staff were very helpful. Toilet facilities were immaculate at all times. Picnic benches close by with a plate for disposable barbeques. Our two 11 year old girls were more than happy to explore the play park and happy to play there, they then found the wooded area when we went on a dog walk and played on the tarzan swing. Which we could see from the tent area. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and facilities could not be faulted. Only negative was we heard the traffic all night long on the Friday night, but on the Saturday was so much quieter. No one can help the noise of traffic (Would not be heard in a caravan). We will return to this site in the summer holidays and have and would recommend it highly.

Beautiful site with facilities i. E. Picnic tables, washing lines, wi-fi Recycling facilities around the site (rather than having to carry items off the site) that are absent on many campsites that are in all other ways very good.
Indoor washing up area. Though we didn't use them laundry machines appeared to be cheaper than is usual)
Direct access onto the hills if you're feeling energetic.
A few minutes drive to Stirling Park and Ride.

This was an excellent site, very clean and friendly.
Upon arrival we were given directions, a map of the site and all facilities/access codes were explained. The pitch itself was very well kept, although all tourer pitches are hard standing so you will need rock pegs for an awning. They do sell them in reception if you need them but they're £1 a peg. We had plenty of room for the caravan, awning & car. We had forgotten our mallet but the site manager happily loaned us one.
The kids playground was spacious with quite a good variety of equipment. It was a bit boggy in places but the whole Park is covered with tyre bark so the kids stayed clean.
The toilet block was clean with soap, loo roll, Dyson hand dryer, baby changing station and free hot water in the showers.
There is a large car park at reception if you have visitors or extra cars and easy access to walks on the Ochils.
I did feel that it was a little pricey but I think a lot of parks are heading that way and I have seen plenty others more expensive. Either way we had an excellent weekend away and will go again.

What a delightful site! Not only beautifully located and spotlessly maintained, but full of personality and charm.
We simply cannot fault it, and rather than treat it as a midway stopping point to Scotland, next time we are going to make it our base.
We thoroughly recommend it to others, and although it is suitable for families with children, it is so well run that couples on their own will not be disturbed by unruly kids.
Thank you Witches Craig, and look forward to visiting you again.

After a phone call to book was advised that the pitches were waterlogged so not taking any bookings which I thought was very good and all credit to them. When we turned up 3 days later they said it was still very wet but if we found a spot to our liking we were welcome to stay. Stayed for 3 nights and as we could not get EHU the staff kindly charged out laptop for us. Very clean site with free wifi, no shop facilities but Stirling was only 5 minuets away. Located in central Scotland an ideal site for touring the Trossachs, Edinburgh, Glasgow, ans surrounding areas. Only downside is the toilet facilities as as far from the tent pitches as you could get so a bit of a walk.

Just back from 2 nights here in a tent. Would have happily stayed for longer but the weather forecast wasn't good so we chose to pack up and leave while it was dry.
Several changes since we were last there.
Tent field is fine, some slight slopes but tent field empty so no problems picking an area. The huts are a godsend in the rain. The benches now have a metal plate in the centre allowing you to now use your cooker/small BBQ in safety.
There is a new one way system in the park, didn't notice the old system causing any bother but it must have done if they went to the bother to change it. Also barriers for entry (code given for late night entry) and exit. Speed limit was observed while we were there.
Toilets remain spotless. Now has keypad entry on the toilets and laundry room. Music playing is nice for those of us who are toilet shy! The addition of the integrated child toilet seats was welcomed. My 3 yr old granddaughter could use the big loos! Site wasn't busy (was midweek) so never had to queue for the loo or a shower. Hot water freely available and the addition of a hairdryer and electrical socket (20p) was good to see as some of us just can't live without our hairdryers! Hubby needs the extra room of the disabled shower and it too was spotless. Since the park was quiet the owner allowed us to use the disabled toilet to bath/shower the 3 yr old and the baby. I understand this was a concession and maybe couldn't be expected at peak times. Rolls can be ordered the night before and picked up at 8:30am, cans of juice available to buy at reception.
Kids play park is good, was empty while we were there.
Really wish the weather would have allowed us to stay for longer but we will be back again soon.

Just back from a long weekend at this brilliant site. My only complaint? I didn't book for a week. Loved our pitch up at the rear of the site, extremely peaceful and amazing views over the ochil hills. I loved sitting out in front of the awning watching the buzzards flying about the hills.
Wardens are lovely, very friendly and nice people, and the facilities are first class. I could be picky and say the site could do with a second shower block as it was always full when I went up there, but not the end of the world and I can't think where they could put another block anyway.
If anyone is thinking about booking a pitch here, then please don't think. Just book it.
Can't wait to go back

Must be one of the best camping site in Scotland, the toilet block was spotless with great warm showers with the radio on all the time this might sound daft but made a big difference, the camping site it self was also spotless very clean and tidy, we had tent with electric, grass was short and area we camped was flat and dry, free wifi other camping sites take note this camping site was very busy why you might ask it little things like free wifi make the difference. There is a bus stop two minutes from camp site we got all day tickets so in morning went to stirling and a wander round shops and look at castle, went for lunch and had a pint which was great seen as I always have to drive, at night used tickets to go back in to town had a walk round about found a great friendly wee pup had a few pints and a great laugh with the locals. All in all a great couple of nights away would def go back.

Absolutely great campsite very clean and tidy. This trend continues in the toilet block which is spotless also nice touch with music playing. Showers are spot on lovely and warm. Playpark is great for kids its a very family friendly site. Ochill hills to the rear are breathtaking with many walks available ideal for dogs. Staff were very friendly and helpful pitches are well spaced and relatively easy to park in. Only one criticism is only having one toilet block at front of site if one was made at the rear this site would be perfect ( maybe I'm just being lazy lol) ideally situated to explore Stirling and surrounding areas. Will definitely be back.

We love this site.
On arriving it looked beautiful and clean with wonderful scenery and the staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Also great they do camping gaz and other refills.
The tent pitches were at the bottom of the park and had lots of picnic benches and wooden hut to use which were very handy.
The play park according to my 6 year old was brilliant and had a deep layer of rubber to cushion any falls.
The toilets/showers were spotless and it was lovely to have music player while showering.
The dish washing facilities were great as well they have really thought about what people need there is even free washing up liquid which is very help if you forget yours. We didn't use the laundry facilities but they looked great and lots were using it.
There is even a freezer for campers to use and a washing line.
This is a brilliantly placed site stirling is only three miles away and supermarkets very closer, it's only 30-40 mins drive to either Edingburgh or Glasgow, so plenty of activities near hand, we had the best hot chocolate ever at the coffee bothy which is about 1/2 mile away from the site its a must and its cakes are good as well.
All in all a brilliant site with wonderful views and very helpful staff we will definitely be going back.

Stayed here for the best part of a week in July and thoroughly enjoyed it. Weather was scorching for the whole week which certainly added to the experience.
Site very well run with very friendly staff, clean, modern toilet block (with music) and large pitches in a beautiful scenic setting.
Our two kids (9 & 7) had great fun in the safe play area with their new pals and plenty of space for them to ride bikes and scooters etc.
Ideally placed for trips into Stirling or a visit to Blair Drummond Safari Park.
Will definitely be heading back here in 2014.
