Hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The site is exceptionally clean and I was really impressed with the Covid safe measures that were put in place.
We stayed in the Camping Cottage which was delightful and surpassed all expectations. There is lots of room for kids to run around and a play barn that went down really well!
We will definitely be back again - highly recommend!

Booking the site was really easy and Maria and Guy were helpful throughout the process, even with amending the booking at a later date. The set up they have means that you can have a completely contactless check in and they make it really simple to find your pitch. The pitches are a nice size with room for a large tent car and table chair campfire space.
The facilities are modern clean and well maintained and no long queuing. The barn has tables and chairs and fridges and freezers and there is a games barn with table tennis and table football (also trikes for kids but not available due to Covid 19)
The Friday night BBQ was delightful and good value.
Maria and Guy were helpful during the stay and we had a great time. The only downside is that there is very little shade around the tents and so gazebo or large umbrella would be needed in very hot weather.

Everything was perfect! Plenty of space on the pitch, clear boundaries of your pitch.
Facilities were clean. Maria and guy were extremely helpful and welcoming.
The area is quiet and peaceful with little towns only up the road.
Will be staying again can’t rate it high enough.

We've visited The Croft Campsite since 2017 and we think Maria and Guy have raised the bar of what makes a good campsite!
It's always relaxing to be there, and so many thoughtful touches add to the pleasure: firepits and wood, Fri eve BBQ, Sun morning bacon baps, morning croissants, and even a kettle for boiling water for a cuppa. Not to mention great chats with Maria and Guy, and knowing that lots of thought and knowledge has gone into making the site as safe as possible.
We're visiting again with friends in a couple of weeks' time and we feel sure they will enjoy it as much as we do.
Very highly recommended!

Our 2nd year in a row here. Didn’t think we would get away this year due to current situation but we chose The Croft because we knew how clean etc it was previously and we were not disappointed with extra measures due to COVID!
Guy and Maria and family are so helpful and attentive and never stop working all with a smile. Lovely pitch, great Friday BBQ, Great croissants, kids were happy so we were happy!
One very small bugbear and by no means a slur, on departure day, we knew we had to be off by 11am (which we did manage I must add) but, we felt very under pressure due to the next visitors (assuming for our pitch) arriving early whilst we were still packing up (we understand that not normally allowed on pitch at 1pm). I had enquired earlier in the week to see if anyone was coming on after us to gauge if we had any leway as I’m disabled and with the heat of the week added etc. We accepted the challenge (and got up particularly early).
Thankfully due to reduced occupancy re COVID they were put on pitch next to us but nonetheless It all became a bit frantic due to our dog barking at all the activity around us. No harm done though and next time I will request a later departure if possible👍

Lovely rural site well located for various little villages and the coast. Great comms from Maria and clear on any CV-19 changes. Field is flat (as is most of the area) and EHU pitch was generous for our large tent. Washroom facilities clean and well maintained. Family & Disabled blocks have one self contained shower/toilet each and the men's / women's general facilities have 2 showers each. The 6-second push button shower was slightly annoying but understandable why sites have this. Hot water plentiful.
There is a separate play field for ball games and an enclosed dog walking area. There is also a large barn with table football & table tennis (plus go-karts in non CV-19 times). The hay barn hosts a BBQ every Friday (a night we weren't there) and has 3 fridge-freezers for general use. Fire pits & wood are available. The site is virtually all tents with only one or two caravans & motorhomes when we were there.
The area is very agricultural (industrial scale) so can be busy with tractors in summer. There aren't sheltered footpaths in the immediate area so you have to take care on the roads but most drivers were considerate. It would be a great area for road biking. Nearest village with facilities (Co-Op and pub) is Laxfield which is about 2. 5 miles (should be shorter across the fields but the farmer has blocked direct footpath access). The community pub (Low House) only opens evenings and weekends but looks very characterful. As we walked at lunchtime in the week we went to the Royal Oak which served decent home cooked food and staff were very hospitable.
Tesco & Waitrose are about 15 minutes drive at Saxmundham. We went to Halesworth which is a pretty little village. At the coast Southwold is charming with the Adnams brewery, lighthouse and pier. The beach can get crowded here so we headed off to Cove Hithe which is quieter (mostly sand beach but pebbly at the shoreline). You need to park and walk about 10 minutes but worth it. We couldn't do Framlingham castle as it was pre-book only this summer.
It's easy enough to get to Lowestoft and the Southern Broads too.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Croft Campsite. Guy and Maria seem to have thought of everything and are very friendly and helpful.
All facilities were very clean with hand sanitizers, wipes and sprays.
We really liked that there was a separate fenced area to exercise our dog and that we could hire a fire pit with logs for our stay.
We will definitely be returning.

Back from an absolutely amazing few days camping at @CroftCampsite -
Felt totally safe and relaxed thanks to their sensible approach to covid-19.
Clean, safe site with amazing fires and lots of space for the kids to play safely.
Camping bliss.

Fantastic welcome & site - would highly recommend!
Maria & Guy have worked hard to ensure all safety aspects have been considered in relation to Covid19, yet still maintain a relaxed atmosphere.
Friday BBQ was a lovely treat, as were the warm paIn au chocolat and breakfast rolls.
Toilet and showers were warm and clean and having the cart barn as a backup for poor weather was ideal. Look forward to returning.

We had a fabulous stay here at the Croft campsite. Guy and Maria did everything they could to make our stay as wonderful as possible. There are hand sanitisers all over the campsite.
The toilets and showers were always clean - not sure how they managed it to be honest. With the lovely weather we made full use of fridge/freezer facilities.
Site was flat, pitches beautifully spaced out and small field which give a small site feeling.
We will be back (for sure)

So lovely to be back here. Maria and Guy have worked really hard to make sure everyone felt safe with plenty of hand sanitisers around the site without being too intrusive. Shame about the weather but fingers crossed for CroftFest!
Maria and Guy are always on hand and happy to help. Nothing is too much trouble.
If there was an 11 I would give everything 11/10

First trip out this season. Great to find a lovely flat grassy site. Pitch size very generous.
Hosts are a very nice couple. Very keen to make stay comfortable. Worth having the BBQ and the breakfast options, saves a lot of work and makes weekend easy.
Had all necessary Covid rules in place and things ran smoothly. Felt safe here. Highly recommend this site.

This weekend was our first trip since covid.
Maria and Guy did amazingly well to ensure everyone had a good time but also ensuring safety was paramount.
All details were sent in advance about to new rules and all very sensible and reasonable.
This was our 4th time staying at The Croft and we have another booked in August.
Thanks for a wonderful time Maria and Guy 😀

Wow, what a lovely site with lovely owners.
Warm and friendly welcome and help when we were planning a walk. Facilities clean and sparkling.
Bit pricier than some sites but the barn and games area alongside the paddock for the dogs to run free make it well worth it.
Sadly rain stopped play on the Sunday, no ones fault, but will definitely be booking here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Croft Campsite. The pitches are flat and generous, there's space for the children to play, a secure paddock for our dog to run around and plenty to do.
The facilities were clean and nice, showers were warm. Our kids spent the whole time playing on the go-carts that the campsite provides and in the barn playing with the train set.
The owners were helpful and lovely, not only concerning their own facilities but also giving local advice about places to walk the dog and help with our vehicle which had a problem.
We heartily recommend this campsite, and intend to visit again in the future.
