 Great site we have used before and would use again.
Close to A9 but site is quiet.
Easy walk into town with lots of cafes, pubs and shops.
Facilities are excellent.

As booking made days before arrival full payment was demanded and as it was less than fourteen days it was not refundable or changeable to another date. I thought the booking process was rather complicated with a lot of personal information required.
Before arrival got an email stating we had been allocated a pitch and to drive straight to on arrival and pitch up as per map of site. We arrived and found our pitch. No sign of any staff. No Welcome. No offer of help - we are both pushing 80 so the help offered at the two big Clubs would have been welcome.
Very surprised to see a storage area in front of our pitch - not shown on their map though! Wonder why?
The storage area had twenty odd caravans of various ages and condition, broken garden furniture, a large grass roller and 5 or 6 trailers of various type and vintage. No a pretty view.
Our pitch was large and level with water and electric.
The toilet block nearest us was modern and clean but annoyingly a press button of 9 seconds duration for hot water.
Went to the shop looking for fresh milk but could see only long life and went to the counter to enquire if the had fresh but the two people there were too engrossed in their private conversation do I gave up.
I returned to the shop the next day for biscuits and a young lady was very pleasant and welcoming.
One worrying thing was during the day there was no barrier at the entrance and we saw people coming in and driving round - didn’t feel particularly safe.
Apart from the staff in the shop never saw anyone wardens etc during our visit.
There are a lot of static caravans on the site. They all appeared similar and were in good newish condition and the grounds were very tidy.
Site is very handy for Pitlochry but due to our walking difficulties we had to use the car.

Brilliant Site
Extremely easy to get to
Maintained to a mega high standard
Spacious pitches
Well stocked shop
In a beautiful location next to a river and surrounded by mountains

Just home today from a lovely stay, no check in drive to pitch is excellent.
Lovely friendly staff the whole place is Immaculate. Nice hot showers very clean.
Grass is kept short, hopefully be back soon.
Walking into Pitlochry is no distance with plenty of restaurants etc.

Very friendly and quiet site.
Quick check in and 15 minute walk into Pitlochry.
Toilet block was spotless and you have your own wc, toilet, sink and shower.
Hairdryer and heater also in cubicle.
Will definitely be back.

Absolutely lovely campsite, very clean with spacious pitches. Showers and toilets excellent, hairdryers in separate showers with a WC and felt like underfloor heating where you get undressed.
Staff really lovely, helpful, great directions into Pitlochary only 25 minutes walk. Given discounts or freebies if used certain eating places.
Absolutely all round great campsite, will definitely use again.

Pitches are flat hard standing. Campsite is well kept as are the toilets and showers which are spotless and they are heated.
Showers are wet rooms with toilet, wash hand basin and shower all in one.
Staff very helpful.
Shop on site has most essentials.
Short walk about 15 minutes to town, dam and salmon ladder.

1st time on this site, lovely site, good showers toilets, well kept site,
Staff friendly but once booked online they email your pitch no so don't need to do a check in, so easy.
Some family's need to keep there kids from running wild everywhere and from running through pitches.

Another lovely stay here at Fonab. Weather was good which was a bonus.
Campsite is well kept as are the toilets and showers which are spotless and they are heated. Showers are wet rooms with toilet, wash hand basin and shower all in one. Showers have plenty hot water and good pressure.
It is in easy walking distance to the town with plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops.
Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning again.

Great location within easy walk of pubs and restaurants.
Toilet facilities very clean and tidy and it was lovely having the heater in there too.
I only spoke to book over the phone and then quickly called in the office to check in. Staff were polite and efficient.
The cost per night for a gravel pitch with EHU was £25 which is about average these days.
Will visit again.
