Lovely small site:
Had a wonderful pitch at the back of the site that I could park my car directly along side ; There were two other tents in this area
(Also looks like you could pitch 1 or two tents on a small hill/mound they have - which could make for spectacular viewing) - but where I was was perfect - quiet and flat.
It was a bank holiday weekend - so slightly busy - but never had to wait for a shower.
Everything spotlessly clean and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
A wonderful site for exploring the Far Eastern Fells

This site is convenient for the town and local supermarkets. It is a small site, some pitches up a hill and others down below.
The facilities are spotless and all is well kept. We took a small travelling tent and with an EHU were down on the lower perimeter.
My main gripe is that all the pitches for motorhomes were flat gravel. The area for the small tents was not flat and we felt that the tents seemed to be an afterthought, the site seems to be favouring motorhomes homes and caravans over tents.

Can’t believe that I haven’t been to this lovely campsite before. It’s situated to the north of Kendal on the A6.
The campsite is set around a small hill and most pitches have been levelled although you will need chocks on some pitches. Tent campers may struggle to find a flat grass pitch although they may be offered a hard standing
The facilities were spotless and the site mangers were friendly and helpful.
There is a small children’s play area on site.
The site Wifi was intermittent but my mobile signal was strong enough to tether and use the internet that way.
Hope to visit again in the not too distant future.

Fantastic site very relaxing dog friendly.
My partner is disabled asked for a pitch near toilet block, they couldn't have given us a better pitch.
Only down side, I wanted to fish the river.
Cost from June £30 per day or £70 per week or "10 per day during closed season Fly only. I only wanted a couple of hours each nights wasn't prepared to pay that much.
Other than that highly recommended for a relaxing break.

Wow what a cracking little site stayed here on way back from Scotland, we were greeted by two lovely wardens who made us very welcome,
The site and facilities were absolutely spotless.
There is a morrisons Sainsbury’s and aldi about 15 min walk away all on pavement.
Town takes about 35 minutes.

Popular Choice in this Area
Fisherground Campsite - Eskdale
Nestling in the beautiful Eskdale Valley close to Scafell, England's highest mountain and Wastwater, this site is a children's paradise in the heart of the Lake District. The first thing that meets you on arrival is the pond, fed by a stream and usually full of children paddling and playing on tyre rafts. The playground has zip wires, climbing frames, tyre rope-swings and adventure courses.
Grass pitches (some with EHU) for tents, motorhomes, VW-sized campervans (no caravans). Refurbished toilets, showers and laundry. Peace is the watchword on the campsite - catering mainly for families and couples with silence after 10.30pm. Don't forget your marshmallows - campfires are allowed in selected areas. Nearby shop and pub. And there's an added extra: the site sits along the route of the Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway line, with it's own station. Choo Choo! Find out more here

A well maintained site draped around a small hill, with friendly & helpful managers. We were allocated the last (sloping) pitch at 5pm & we rolled out of bed all night; next morning, they readily moved us to a flat pitch that was being vacated.
Facilities are modern & clean, but there was usually a wait for a loo, sink or shower in the rush before they were closed for cleaning at 10:30 (closed until departure time; thankfully there’s an “easy access” toilet).
Site Wi-Fi was blocked by several intervening private Mi-Fi’s & it never worked. Mobile signal was too weak to download BBC news photos.
We walked along the tarmac path beside (but separated) from the A6 to Morrisons (takes 20 mins), because the grass path along the river had a stone stile at the town end that I found difficult to negotiate, and a dog larger than a collie would get stuck in.
Walk all the way into town is 40 minutes. Brewery Arts Centre has wonderful beer & a pretty garden to enjoy it in.
Last bus back to Morrisons is quite early, but bus tickets everywhere are currently capped at £2 per journey - that would make a grand day out from Kendal, as parking the Motorhome at Windermere was a nightmare & expensive.

We stayed just under a week the people running the site were very friendly and helpful and they kept the site looking great.
The pitches were a good size and the toilets/showers were kept incredibly clean.
Lots do do within a short drive and kendal is a loverly little town as well.
The site is very handy for a number of supermarkets and only a 20 minute walk from the centre of kendal.

Lovely site now. Glad they've improved after my justified rather negative review 6 years ago.
Spacious new (since then) facilities block. Improved recommended walk from site with a good handout.
Good views. Easy to find. Nice staff. Nothing at all to dislike.
NB 'value for money' and 'overall' scores reduced to 9 due to issues with the CCClub central booking office for this visit
