October 2002 Site Mangers here were a bit bossy & seemed to be less helpful than we've encountered at other C & C C sites but it was the very last weekend of the season & they were anxious to be away in time to catch their plane to the sun. Facilities are basic but clean. Kendal is a fascinating town - don't miss the museums & if you smoke make sure you get the local Kendal tobacco. Kendal is also famous for its mint cake.

April 2003 Stayed here in our Dandy folding camper, about 75% of pitches are sloping but not badly.. Nice, clean and peaceful with a small childrens play area which my 2 kids made the most of. A pleasant walk along the river bank takes you to the main road just outside Kendal town centre, takes about half an hour to the centre itself. The management of the site were very friendly and helpful even loaning me a leisure battery free of charge. Would not hesitate to stop here again and certainly recommend it to others!
