Stayed here over the weekend (2nd to the 4th)very friendly greeting on signing in and as I have read from other reviews. The burger van was open, a good addition. Set up my tent to be greeted from next door with the words 'fancy a brew' - you bet, what a friendly couple to be camped next to. Anyway the weather took another turn, more rain and then in to fort William for some shopping, Morrisons, back to the tent and a burger and a cup of tea and a chin wag with the guy behind the counter, more friendly staff, who informed me that there was to be a race up ben nevis on Saturday, approx 600 to take part

I have stayed here loads of times and the facilities have always been to my eye very good. Got some excellent photos on the Saturday as I came down from the summit of the helicopter dropping off marshalls for the race, also some videos of the racers. The only problem with doing nevis on a saturday is the shear volume of people on the paths including the three peakers who I met and who all looked miserable as sin as they still had 2 walks and 2 drives in front of them

Over all a good weekend just a pity the weather had been a wee bit better and I will definitely be using this site again

Another overnight stop on our journey north. The second time I have stayed at this site.

No pre booking is require for tents, just fill in a booking slip and stand in the queue at reception.

After the previous weeks rain, we chose a spot with a slight slope to aid drainage.

The facilities are a bit dated, but very clean. We were surprised at the lack of night time noise, expecting a site this big to be a bit loud, but everything had died down by 23:00.

The shop is extremely well stocked, they obviously know their clients well.

At £26. 50 in high season, this was the cheapest night we had for a family of four with backpacker tents.

We have visited this site many times now, the location is beautiful situated at the bottom of Ben Nevis, the surrounding area of Fort William is perfect for visiting local attractions like the Jacobite steam train. The campsite is well kept with great size pitches with plenty of space for a large tent and car. The facilities are amazing toilets and showers always clean even in the busy period. Staff are friendly and helpful, and there is a shop on site, selling all sorts for your needs for camping holiday. All in all a great site and we will always return when in Scotland.

This is a large site, but we were made to feel very welcome on arrival.

Facilities were very clean, which is important to us.

Nice views of the surrounding mountains. Site was very busy and therefore quite noisy at night.

Would we visit again? Yes! However we would not visit during peak season. We prefer a more peaceful environment.

We will be back next year. We tend to go camping 3 times a year, once early in the season, once in peak season and then one last camping trip late in the season.

We're aiming to head back to this site in April or May next year, while it is hopefully quiet.

 Great campsite!

Stayed here in July 2011 for 2 nights whilst backpacking around the Highlands.

After several nights wildcamping and strenuous mountain walks we saw there was a campsite symbol on our map and took our chance.

We found a large campsite that was well organised and had good facilities. I think we paid 7. 50 per person which was excellent value considering the location and facilities. There are many walks in the area including the more obvious Ben Nevis and Glen Nevis.

Would definitely stay again

Stayed on this site for 7 nights. Site is excellent and toilets are very clean and there are decent facilities. There is a chip shop and a decent stocked shop.

We booked our pitch in advance and this is highly recommended and also worth spending the extra on a super pitch. Could not get any satellite reception as we were on the wrong side of the park and the dish was directly in line with a tall hedge. The play park is not very big and this is the only negative abut the site that I could find. Views are spectacular but be prepared for either constant rain or midges.

Fort William is great and very typically a Highlands tourist resort. One down side is that there is not much to do for younger Children.

Large Morrisons Supermarket in Fort William.

Recommended things to do: Visit the lower falls, walk up Ben Nevis, visit the Glen Finnan Viaduct and memorial, Aonach Mor Gondola, the Harry Potter train (although pricey)

This is a huge site! However is is really well laid out and separated into sections and each section is quite private. This gives it a feel of a much smaller park and was very peaceful.

We did pay the 10 pound booking fee which was a bit annoying but we wanted to make sure that we got a pitch. I really don't think there would often be a problem if you just turned up as it is such a big site.

The pitches were gravel and very big with own water tap. The shower and toilets were clean. Lots of showers and plenty of hot water. It wasn't a push button like so many other sites. There is a laundry with 4 washers and dryers and also a separate spin dryer.

We don't have children so don't often notice whether there are facilities for them. On this occasion however I did notice a nice playground.

When we arrived at reception the lady was really friendly. She told us about a walk into Fort William through the woods which we did. It took around 1 hour. We were also interested in the steam train to Mallaig.

She said that the online bookings were fully booked until the end of September. She told us we could get the normal train which is exactly the same route for 12. 90 return compared to the 31. 00 return for the steam train. It really was worth doing it and the scenery is spectacular.

TV, internet and phone reception was good. We are currently touring around the UK and this is the 28th site. Out of all the sites so far I think this has been the best. Highly recommended.

Great site, fab location right at the foot of Ben Nevis. Clean toilets, free showers and plenty of hot water. Big site but plenty toilet and laundry blocks.

The biggest pitches we've stayed on, lot's of grassed areas. A children's' playground, which is a bit out of the way and hidden, and that is my only criticism (although some people might see that as a good thing!).

Grassed central area for ball games. Well stocked shop and very professional check in staff. Hardstanding was challenging for my pegs so take the most substantial you can get.

Nice bar and restaurant just outside the park. Lot's of walks to do, including Ben Nevis if you are fit enough.

Near Fort William where there is a big Morrisons and Tesco express and prices much the same as everywhere else. There are no caravan accessories shops near so take spare bulbs etc.

Lot's to do. The gondola up Aonoch Mhor is a must. Nice local pool and cinema in Fort William

My partner, 22 month old and myself have just got back from a four night stay at Glen Nevis. We also had two friends who were in a tent and on arrival we enquired if we could have them pitch it with us.

The lady on reception was extremely helpful and put us on Cameron Park where the pitches were big enough that they could pitch there tent right along side us.

The park itself is in a fantastic setting with fantastic views of Ben Nevis and the surrounding area. There was a no noise rule after 11pm which didn't bother us and everyone else stuck to it it really was peaceful!

The toilets and showers were immaculate, the little shop was well stocked and there was even a burger van that opened in the morning and evening which was really handy if people wanted an early start and didn't want to chew on making breakfast.

Felt very safe letting our toddler run about as during the day there was hardly any traffic in our part of the site. Fort William centre was just a couple of minutes drive away and there was also a very well stocked morrisons here as well.

The only one minor problem we found was that I was told on the phone I could bath our daughter in the disabled room which we paid a £10 deposit for the key however there wasn't a big bath just a baby bath and a shower. The baby bath would have worked if I hadn't had to put it on the floor (it might be just me but I didn't fancy that no matter how clean it seemed! I ended up having to stand her under the shower and taking the shower head down but then this left the floor soaking wet and no surface to lay her on to change nappy or get her dressed.

There was a baby change unit but it was in the medical room next door which didn't make much sense! it ended up taking two of us to shower her then run next door to dress her. I would normally take her in the shower with me but there wasn't much room. This was really just a minor niggle!

Overall a fantastic time had by all and we'll definitely try and get back there!

 Well what can I say.

Absolutely fantastic. Toilets and showers spotless, grounds spotless and beautifully maintained. Location is fantastic.

Everything about this site is perfect. We have just returned from 2 nights stay but wanted to stay longer and will definitely return again.

The shop sells everything you need from camping bits and bobs to beautiful steak for your BBQ and little gifts.

There is also a food/drink van which does a mean hot chocolate

All in all with all the above along with the fantastic price to stay it is a must.

A++++ gold star

Just back from our fourth visit in under a year at Glen Nevis. Lovely clean toilets. There is a well stocked shop which also sells most of the camping things you tend to forget to take with you.

As usual Margaret and the staff were very helpful.

This was the first time we had been on a weekend so it was busier than we had usually seen it but there was still plenty of room. We managed to get pitched near the toilets and beside a picnic table which was really handy.

Tent easily pegged out as the ground was quite soft.

We did find it quite noisy at night, not individual campers just an all over buzz as it was so busy but it did calm down just after midnight. We weren't to bothered as the kids were not with us this time round.

Lovely views across the site to Ben Nevis.

Fort William is just a couple of miles away where there is a Morrisons.

I'm sure this will not be our last visit.

Just had a great four nights on this fantastic value for money site. Just outside Fort William and and beneath Ben Nevis.

Site spotlessly clean and well set out areas with plenty of taps, rubbish bins and picnic tables. Very busy due to Mountain bike world cup taking place on Ben nevis but site didn't feel overcrowded.

Restaurant and bar just a short walk down the road. Short drive into Fort William and large Morrisons close by. Campsite shop was well stocked and reasonably priced, especially the am zing variety of freshly baked bread!

Will definitely be returning to this site in the future.

Wow. We've just got back from Glen Nevis and had to submit a review straight away. What a fantastic site! The surroundings are glorious, the facilities were spotless and the site has everything you could want from a Scottish camping holiday. Even the midges were not too determined.

The children enjoyed the old-fashioned playground, as well as playing in the woods behind the tent. The shop was well stocked if a little on the pricey side, but with Morrisons not too far away for other bits and bobs. On arrival, we were greeted warmly and pointed in the right direction.

The showers and toilets were clean, warm and had piped radio 2. The ground was well drained and easy to peg into. The local bar/ restaurant is far enough away to not be noisy, but within easy walking distance, with a good range of food and whisky and reasonable prices.

We found it to be a peaceful site, with everyone respecting the noise curfews between 11 and 8 too, even when hundreds more campers arrived for the mountain bike world cup. We will definitely be returning soon.

This was a surprisingly good site. It seemed very commercial and you can’t book in advance plus it is right under Ben Nevis, so I thought wrongly that it would be full with little intimacy. How wrong I was, the site was very pleasing and friendly. The pitches were large and there was plenty of room and it was surprisingly cheap for such a site.

The toilets/showers were very clean and well maintained and there was always plenty of hot water.

You are not far from Fort William and there are great walks all around the site. There is a nice restaurant, cafe and art gallery within walking distance of the campsite and the meals were very good. There is a shop on site that is very well stocked with all the necessities.

All in all we had great time at this very good site.

Just back from Glen Nevis Caravan & Camping Park where we spent a rather soggy weekend. We tried our best not to let it dampen our spirits. So, we were delighted to receive a full refund on one nights staty despite the fact we had chosen to leave a day early.

We had a spacious pitch (electric) in the Deerpark section of the site which backed on to the kids playpark. My 4 yr old would have loved the park had it not rained the whole time we were there.

The on site facilities washing up and laundry were great. The toilet block was the best we've ever experienced. Well maintained, clean, bright, warm and tidy with excellent showers - and with the radio being played.

The site is packed with walkers, climbers and families so made for a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Only comment was that shop was very pricey. But worry not there is Tesco Metro, Boots, Morrisons, Mountain Warehouse and a Macdonalds all in Fort William.

We visited the Lochaber swimming pool and had a lovely time there too.

Cant wait to go back when the weather is a little better!
