Stayed at this campsite in a large tent with electric hook up. Ideal as a base for climbing Ben Nevis - wonderful location and scenery.
Toilet block was fantastic and showers were free and hot. Very good reasonably priced on site shop with a good stock of camping accessories.
Pub within walking distance although staff there were a little grumpy.
Highly recommended!

Excellent site. Superb location at the foot of Ben Nevis. Very efficient check in service. Very reasonable prices. Spacious level pitches, with hardstanding and grass. Well stocked shop with very courteous staff. Excellent toilet facilities and separate shower block.
Pub / restaurant a short walk along the road at the start of Ben Nevis ascent.
Had 2 night stay as part of fortnight round Scotland trip. Would definitely use again.

I can only reiterate the comments on the vast majority of the previous reviews for this site. Superb location right at the foot of Ben Nevis the site is large but doesn't feel so with several smaller areas making up the whole with great facilities that where always clean.
We (2 adults and 3 kids - 13, 9 and 2) arrived on saturday afternoon on the recent bank holiday weekend after reserving a non electric tent pitch. This turned out to be on the 'Spruce Field' and after a swift booking in procedure made our way to the area.
We had been somewhat apprehensive as we have a Hartford XL and wondered how cramped the pitches would be. However there was loads of space on the large flat field serviced by several water and refuse points that were emptied twice daily. The views where spectacular and throughout the weekend could not believe how despite the site filling everyone had plenty room.
The toilets where always clean and the individual shower cubicles had plenty room to sort the kids out with plenty hot water.
The site had a great atmosphere with families, walkers and motorcyclists all soaking up the sunshine (believe it or not) during our week long stay.
The restaurant and bar on site served great pub grub and we paid on average for 2 adults and 3 kids to eat 3 courses with plenty soft drinks and 2 bottles of wine around £100. Not cheap but that said if this place had been in the Lake District you could add another £50 onto that and not get as much or as good.
We did the Harry Potter train ride from Fort William to Mallaig crossing the viaduct in the films. The kids loved it but I enjoyed the drive along the same route much more.
The beaches at Morar just before Mallaig around 40 miles from the site are breathtaking. Pure white sand and turquoise water with the place almost deserted. We had a beach to ourselves on a sunny day during half term.
Likewise turning right out of the site leads to to plenty spots to stop by the river with small pebble beaches that you had to yourself. We also did the Loch Ness Experience. It was £18 for the 5 of us but was basically a large gift / tat shop with a brief info tour beforehand that essentially dispelled the myth.
The only other issue were the dreaded midges! Basically I think we were lucky with the weather but when they did arrive Avon's Skin so soft and the citronella candles seemed to work well.
The Highlands are spectacular and the site is superb. We will certainly return.

The staff were extremely helpful and it was nice to see wardens on bikes just quietly checking all was well as the evening drew to a close. We were on the Holmfield area for reserved pitches and had a super double sized hard standing in the far corner, next to the gate which led to the dog walk and the mountain access path. It was nice to chat to the passers by.
The toilet blocks - of which there are many, were spotless and the showers also, never had to queue, nice music to listen to as you shower, and separate cubicles self draining so you are not standing in a flow of water from other showers.
Good laundrette, clothes baskets provided, dryers and ironing boards.
This is a large site, but in no way did I feel that space was compromised. We had loads of room and all of the other caravans seemed to have also.
I biked across to the tenting fields (as an ex-tenter I felt I had to check out what I was missing) What a great atmosphere! little bbq's and raised fires dotted around, seemed very chilled out with people chatting and laughing.
The site is to die for in my book, and cheap. At less than £130 for 6 nights for 2 adults, 4 children,(13,12,10&10), full awning, fully serviced pitch (waste, water) extra car, you can not fail to look up at the Ben, which was covered in sunshine for almost the whole week, and say 'I'm in heaven' Our girls spent all their time cycling around on their bikes and going to the park making friends.
Great base to do so much, we spent a day on the white sands at Morar - an absolute must, then drove down from Lochaline to get the Corran Ferry back to Onich. Went to Oban, visited friends in Fort Augustus, went horse riding in Torlundy, just so much at your fingertips.

We were in the reserved tent area with EHU which cost £10 extra on booking. We had an 8 man tent which fitted fine in the pitch, we had 2 dogs and were not far from the dog exercise area, but was not always accessible to us because of a bark path and a small awkward gate that couldn't fit a wheelchair through.
The shop was very handy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Toilet facilities were good but the disabled toilet / shower was very basic, no shower curtain, no obvious heating, as well as a very loud noise when you pulled the light cord! on our 7th and last day it still didn't look like anyone had been to clean the floor it, still had tyre tracks.
The burger van was available Fri to Sun and the food was nice, we visited the restaurant / Pub on our first day. The restaurant menu was a bit fancy for us so we opted for the pub, the menu wasn't much better and all four of us opted for the same thing which none of us enjoyed.
The scenery from the park was amazing and plenty of roads to go exploring, Fort William itself was lovely. Unfortunately because of its age lots of the shops were not very wheelchair friendly. We did visit lochaber hydrotherapy pool and was much enjoyed.
This site was used largely by hikers and bikers and is well suited for this from its location to Ben Nevis, do expect weird weather conditions though as we experienced sunshine, rain, fog, hail, sleet and snow in 1 day.

I can only agree what others have said about this site.
It is fantastic, the views spectacular.
The site is the best that we have been on. Very clean and well kept.
We paid £36 for 2 nights, with electric hook up.
We had plenty of room. They even provide a picnic table, we went with friends so we pithed next to each other and put the table between the 2 tents.
We will be going here again. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

A very nice site with friendly helpful staff in a great location.
Toilet blocks were always very clean and water nice and hot. Blocks are not heated though which meant you can get cold very quickly when getting out of the shower.
We booked our pitch in advance which meant we were allocated our spot. Good thing about this is you get fully serviced facilities and all pitches are good, bad side is it costs you £10 and you are the furthest pitches away from the toilet block
So would we return to this site - I think that's always the strongest test and without a doubt the answer is yes. In fact we haven't been on a better site for the price. High recommended.

A perfect location in breathtaking scenery! Facilities are superb - in fact some of the best I've seen on my camping and sailing adventures between Wales and Estonia! I've just got home having spent 2 nights there and if not for severe weather conditions I'd still be there!
All staff were first class but Margaret deserves a special mention as she's one of those people who just goes the extra mile. This site is a must for anyone who appreciates excellent service, good facilities and a range of activities within easy reach.
Will definitely be back - but when the blizzards are no more and the only adversary is the notorious Scottish Midge!

We enjoyed snow and cool weather but reliable electricity and TV made this a very acceptable site for us. We live in our motorhome (travelling from OZ) and this was one of the best sites to date in 5 months around Scotland.
Everything clean, available, and convenient. Staff are great and helpful - would that all sites matched this! Access to easy walks and great views are a bonus.

Arrived late at the site had rung ahead so not a problem. We made very welcome, lady on reception very friendly and helpful. Its a beautiful site, lots of level pitches, non-metered hook ups, absolutely stunning surroundings, toilet blocks etc. Excellent. In a good location as just outside Fort William, so ideal as a stop off or as a base for longer stay. Will definitely return - oh, and cheap too!

Great location and excellent facilities including lots of clean and free showers plus industrial tumble dryers that are essential after a day in the Scottish hills. The on-site shop and bar/ restaurant are all very good and friendly.
Perfect location for a climb up the Ben.
The only downside is the camping pitches were a bit 'damp' you had to choose from flat and wet or sloping and damp.
Overall would definitely use again if I was in the area.

Biker friendly camp site - great facilities all round, I visited in the middle of September to use as a base for my attempt on Ben Nevis so the site wasn't too full. Facilities are first class with plentiful hot showers available after my hard day conquering the Ben. Good shop for the essentials and only 2 miles from Fort William with a large Morrisons and a MacDonalds on the right side of town. The Glen Nevis Inn is only a 5 minute walk from the tent with reasonably priced food and drink so everything you need is nearby. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely location for hill walking. Excellent facilities. The local 'pub' is only a 2 minute walk away and was nice but pricey. Fort William is about 2 miles away and has good pubs, shops etc. Don't rely on the buses for a night out in the town as the last one home is 1900hrs!
Wellies are a must when staying here as we found out when we arrived. We were the only people without them! Very muddy ground, even without the rain.
If you fancy a day away from the walking, there's not much in Fort Bill and a car is a must as most other attractions are a good distance away.

This was a very large site on our arrival the reception was very busy as it was throughout our stay. Staff were very friendly and efficient, we had paid a deposit for our pitch so glad I did as the site was full. We were directed to our pitch and given a map of the site. We found our pitch easily it was large with water and drain. The pitches ran around a central grassed area where children and parents could play or have a BBQ. The site is well spread out and does not feel as big as it is although the tent field did look crowded and I would maybe have a different opinion if we had stopped there. The facilities were plentiful and pleasant with piped music. Toilet and shower block clean and never anywhere near full. The shop is well stocked and a refreshment van is open on an evening for take aways.
There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and the setting of the site is wonderful cloud willing you can gaze up at Ben Nevis. Fort William has plenty of shops, Morrisons next to the railway station is well stocked and cheap.
The road up the Glen is worth a drive and whe you can go no further walk another mile along the well trodden path to a most beautiful waterfall. Neptunes staircase is a marvel of engineering the list goes on and on.
One of the best sites I have stayed on anywhere.

This is the perfect place to camp if you want to explore the Glen Nevis area. After a long and very wet day of climbing Ben Nevis we were very glad of the facilities the campsite offered- plenty of clean, hot showers and a laundry / drying room. The pub two minutes down the road was very welcome too! We found the campsite to be quiet, well-maintained and great value for money- would recommend.
