 Fantastic, we loved it. Great location, so peaceful. Large, flat pitch, loads of space & well spaced out between pitches. Toilet/shower facilities really good.
Always plenty of hot water and if you are in a tent then there are also a great range of facilities to get by. Love how old barn had been converted to house all these.
Lovely walk round lake and probably one of the best dog areas we've ever seen. Plenty of things there to keep your dog entertained and very secure
All in all an absolutely cracking site. Hornsea a lovely place to visit, plenty shops, bars, cafes and a cracking beach.
Whilst site no longer on bus route, site owner went extra mile and got us to Mappleton just along road from site where you can get buses to Hornsea or Skipsea.
Beach at Mappleton worth a visit as is the little cafe there too. It was lovely, great menu and service. Taxi from Hornsea back to site about £11:00.
We had a fantastic few days and can see there has been a lot of hard work put into getting site to standard it is and will be our site of choice when next in area.

What a lovely site
Shirley and Roy lovely owners
The pitches are all a good size
Really pleased with our stay,
The secure dog walking area is a brilliant idea,
Lily's fish and chip shop in Hornsea cooked in beef dripping were lovely, Whiteheads fish and chips were good but bit pricey,
Will definitely be returning,
This is an adult only site that's why no children rating

This was a lovely site, well placed for visiting Hornsea. We were given a number of pitches to choose from, & pitches were large.
It had toilet & shower facilities which were a little tired but more than adequate.
There was a a large undercover area which was lovely & had a large table for friends or those in tents to sit & eat together if needed.
Like wise there was a fridge, kettle & toaster for tent users to make use of, which I thought was a lovely touch.
The owner was friendly & hard working, always doing something & believed that visiting dogs should have a holiday too, hence there was a large enclosed dog paddock, with agility equipment around which was brilliant.
There was a large Tesco in Hornsea with petrol which was very handy. Also we had the best fish & chips we have had in years, the chip shop has won national chip shop of the year & if you order over the phone they also deliver to the site.
We would happily return to this site.

This is a beautiful kept site. Convenient for access to Hornsea.
This site has the best dog exercise area we have ever used.
Fully enclosed with agility equipment if you wanted it.
Would not hesitate to recommend this site.

Lovely site, and very nice owners,
Bit windy due to being in exposed area.
Toilet and shower block definitely needs updating, but Rome wasn't built in a day.

Stayed 1 night to watch the local east ridings rally stages. Group of 3 in 2 man tents with a Gazebo.
Brilliant site with excellent amenities.
Will be booking for next year's rally thanks for having us.

This is a smashing site for dog lovers with lovely clean facilities.
There is an undercover social area with a well equipped kitchen if you are camping and lots of information about places that will deliver take aways, nearest pub etc.
The site is a pleasant walk away from a dog friendly beach and Sheryl even offered us a lift if we couldn't manage the walk both ways.
The grass was kept short by Roy on his sit on mower and he had an endless supply of dog treats.
Lovely walk around the small fishing lake.
Great site and so peaceful at night, would recommend.

The second time I’ve stayed at this site. I just love it. Quiet and peaceful and within easy reach of many towns and villages.
I think the kitchen area is great as I don’t have electric hook up. So I’m still able to their microwave and kettle so I can make a simple meal if I don’t fancy going out to eat.

Great well maintained adult only site,
Really good facilities and they made room for me when I turned up on my bike.
Pub nearby and not far to the sea.

The best hidden gem on this coast. Sheryl and Roy work tirelessly all day everyday to make this campsite the spotless, tranquil, beautiful place that it is.
We have been coming her for years, and it is always immaculate. The showers are hot. The pitches level, the wildlife well cared for.
Beautiful sunrises and sets, stargazing too. And watch out for the black and white Carrion Crow, he's beautiful. There is a well fenced dog play park. And always a relaxed atmosphere with a very warm welcome.
Mappleton Beach (Dog friendly all year) is a short drive away, be sure to check the tide times, and go right for fossils, when you get down the slip way. The Old Post Office and Tearooms is a quaint little café that is dog friendly. Cash preferred.
Also worth a visit is Whitedale Cottage Farm Shop, HU11 4TY, the meat is all reared on the farm from Heritage livestock, and its near the Transpennine Trail.

What a smashing site, adult only and very dog friendly, very welcoming owner,
Choose our own pitch, on arrival, nice flat pitches with plenty of room between,
We loved all the wildlife and I did the woodland walk around the lake a couple of times, which you can walk your dog around on a lead but there is a fenced of lead area as well,
Plenty of hot water in the showers, and a area to meet up with others for a cuppa, plus a few pinic bench seats around the edge of the park.
The only down side I can see, is to book early as it seemed to get busy at the weekend, but is well placed for visiting the East Coast, Hornsea is a great place to spend a day. And would recommend.

Lovely site, it was everything we wanted it to be, peaceful and quiet.
Everything was spotless and tidy and the owner very welcoming and informative of the area.
We will definitely be returning.

As in previous reviews site is immaculate, facilities always spotlessly clean.
There is now no bus service near the site, and the local pub is permanently, closed although there is another one about a mile and a half away.
Enjoyed our stay, got a taxi into Hornsea (Sheryl did offer to drop us in and pick us up) nice pub The green owl, very nice cocktails and a good wine bar Barons, with a nice friendly, chatty lady.

This is a campsite that has really had some thought put into it.
Spotless facilities, helpful hosts, and a great location.
An hour's flat walk to a nice beech with a lovely tearoom.
Pitches spacious and level.
Nice lake and woodland walk.
Only a 5 minute drive into Hornsea where there is a big Tesco and many independent shops.
The cost is also very reasonable, £27 a night (£30 at Bank Holidays) which is very good value.
EHU is limited to 15kWh per day to discourage car charging. This is ample for most normal use, unless you want to run a 3kW heater for more than 5 hours a day, and why would you?
