We only stopped for one night as we were travelling back from Scotland,
Shower block was spotlessly clean, plenty of toilets and showers and even had private washrooms with sink and mirror.
Large washing up area with plenty of sinks.
Good dog walking area, with poo bin provided, unfortunately some people did not clean up after their dogs.
There is a small shop on site if needed, there is a strict no noise policy after 10/10. 30 and it was very quiet,
Would definitely stay here again

This campsite is in a fantastic location, close to Keswick and with beautiful views of the surrounding hills.
The amenities are excellent and regularly cleaned.
The best part about the stay here was the tranquillity, afforded by the strict rule of silence after 22:30.
We fully intend to stay there again.

Lovely site. Two fields, one for caravans, one for tents and small camper vans.
Pitches are large, a member of staff showed us our pitch and advised where to put the tent to reduce damage to the grass adding that if this meant our cable was too short we could get one from reception for a fully returnable deposit. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful.
All communal areas were clean and well maintained.
Showers were in individual cubicles a dressing area although the shower heads could do with adjusting as they sprayed under the divider resulting in a wet floor in the dressing area.
As well as a large washing up area there was a camper's day room with tables and chairs as well as coin op toasters, kettles and induction hobs, a great idea for when the weather is poor.
Ice cream type freezer in reception for ice blocks, 20p donation to the local air ambulance. Reception was open long hours so we could swap blocks when it suited us.
Drinking water was only available from the day room or outside the shower block, some extra water points on the field would be helpful.
Regular buses from the end of the lane to Keswick or Ambleside and Bowness meant the car could have a rest too.

Really nice site for beautiful views over Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite.
Facilities were nice enough.
There is a nice walk to Walla Crag but the walk back from Keswick is a trek!

Visited castlerigg Farm late April, tent pitch with EHU. Check-in was seamless and the warden visited us shortly after to check everything was ok.
The site was divided into 2 sections, one side was hard standing EHU for caravans motorhomes etc with a large central grass section in the middle for vans and tents with no EHU
Separated by a natural hedge was the main tent pitches, around 2 edges were 13 EHU pitches averaging 10x10 m with some non EHU pitches in front, then down the remaining side, was purely non EHU with a central road running up the site.
The site is sat on high ground so I’d expect it could get a tad breezy at times.
We requested a quiet area and was given pitch M over in the far corner. Very large pitch which I’d guess was 12x12 easy. EHU was 10am
Views were spectacular to say the least and pitch had a slight slope back to front and to the side.
Facilities were excellent, around 8 toilets and 6 showers with plenty of sinks. Showers were warm though push button variety which lasted around 15-20s
Site also had a small shop though we thought was poorly stocked so we used the shop at the nearby castlerigg hall campsite.
WiFi was pretty non existent especially where we were, did improve closer to the main building so this is a very minor gripe.
Location is excellent, about a 25min walk down to Keswick, easy access to the fells of Walla Crag Bleaberry Fell and High seat. As well as castlerigg stone circle
The non electric pitches were quite busy with a steady flow of camper vans, campers/back packers coming and going through out the 3 days
Site runs a strict no noise policy and it was definitely quiet
Site was clean with a room for campers to cook, with a hob kettles toasters on a pay as you use basis with tokens available from the office, but I didn’t see and freezer for re freezing freezer blocks
Overall great site and definitely will be back

Great location with fantastic views, showers are great with heated flooring.
Everywhere very clean and staff very helpful.
Keswick only 1. 5 miles away by foot, all downhill. There are buses that you can catch and drop you off end of lane every hour at £3. 00 each way.
Would recommend to all, and site very quiet. 👍

Fantastic site, open all year, bathroom facilities are gorgeous, heated and like hotel bathroom.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Gorgeous views and magnificent setting.
Easy walk through the woods into keswick town, get the bus back if you over indulge in one of the many hostilirys.
Always like to go to this campsite out of season as its quiet. Not tried a summer camp here yet but 2025 may change that.

Great site, with great facilities. We have stayed at the club sites in Keswick many times before, but they have become very pricey lately.
We booked this site for 5 nights and were delighted. Large hardstanding pitches.
The views from the pitches are spectacular.
The facilities are 1st class. Very large shower cubicles, well heated.
A great dog walk and great walks directly from the site.
Well stocked shop. 25-minute walk into Keswick.
Nice cafe directly opposite the site. Bus service at the road end, 5 minutes walk.
We will return.

This is a brilliant site, with stunning views across Derwentwater and the local mountains.
Modern and immaculate facilities are available, as well as a cafe, pizza van and day room.
Nice little bar across the road - the Crag Bar at the Heights Hotel.
1. 5 mile downhill walk into Keswick, but a bus also stops at the end of the lane, with services north and south to the main places in the Lake District.

Excellent campsite, in a lovely location only about a mile and a half from the centre of Keswick.
There's a bus stop at the bottom of the lane that leads to the campsite, where there's a regular 555 bus into Keswick.
The facilities on site are excellent; the toilets and showers are the best I've ever seen on a campsite.
We were in a tent with an electric hookup, and there was a generous amount of space for us.
Highly recommended, hard to fault it - we couldn't.

What is there not to like? Nothing.
This is one of the best sites we have ever stayed in.
Immaculate, modern toilets and showers.
Washing up room with loads of sinks.
Laundry room.
Day room with dining table so you can eat if the weather is bad.
Dog shower.
Dog walk.
Multiple CDP
Fresh water, grey disposable.
Local bar does Vegan food & there is a van doing various meal themes each night.
( pizza, noodles, Greek etc)
Highly recommended site.
Bus stop to Kesick where you can do everything, shop, eat etc. Or Kendall - which goes to Ambleside, windermere and other tourist sites.
