The campsite is set on a spacious field with beautiful views of Bodiam castle. The toilets were basic but kept very clean the whole weekend.
Terry and Nathan were extremely accommodating and were always there to help us when we had trouble keeping our fire going.
Thanks Terry, Lynda and Nathan!

Great. Peaceful, quiet, rural. Owners are tremendous. Great to be able to have fires. Wonderful views.
Pitches well spaced apart. Basic but clean facilities.
Would definitely return.

10/10 Absolutely amazing weekend retreat, such a wonderful site! Loved my two nights (as did my dog Evie!) with Terry and Lynda, such a welcoming and hospitable couple who really make you feel looked after.
While you're able to find blissful solitude in nature here, you know there's a friendly face to check in on you and stop for a chat.
Perfect spot to relax and find your inner peace with the beautiful views around you and get back in touch with the world. Couldn't have asked for better, everything you need and more.
Would give 11 stars if I could :)

A group of friends & I had an unforgettable weekend at this campsite. Simple but effective with everything you need - clean toilets, running water, plenty of space, firewood and great views.
Far enough out to feel like an escape from city life, but a short walk away from some nice pubs and the castle which is well worth a visit. Terry and Lynda were excellent hosts who take great care of their guests with a smile!
If we were to have stayed longer, some bins, electricity & showers may have been needed. But we got along absolutely fine for the weekend without. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful campsite; probably the best view I've ever experienced from a campsite - stunning.
Portaloos very clean. Situated offgrid by a very quiet road. Standpipe well situated.
Two minor quibbles: Considering the field is rather big, it felt unnecessary to be placed so close to another party - would have liked a little more space between us and them. Also, the alloy wheels for the fires were quite small - Terry happily provided us with another but bigger wheels or washing machine drums give off a lot of heat.
But they are minor things; Terry and Lynda are great hosts and we will definitely be returning.

Terry & Lynda are brilliant hosts. One key aspect for us was having them on site for our stay. Always cheerful, helpful and genuinely keen to encourage a great time. Their place is chilled, relaxed, rustic & charming. The views are beautiful & the location for us was perfect- lots to do great walks (from the campsite), good pubs, little shop for supplies & ice. !
There is lots of space for families to play. The site was chilled out into the evenings- sunsets to watch while eating dinner, followed by star gazing & enjoying the lower light pollution levels. Topped off with a camp fire.
Terry keeps the place tidy & toilets really clean.
Lynda’s communication was excellent from our initial enquiry - and in person she is just as warm & welcoming! 💯 recommendation from us & our 2 dogs

We had a brilliant 2 night stay at the Damson Field campsite and were welcomed on arrival by Terry and Nathan in a very friendly and helpful manner. They both gave us ideas for lovely walks and places to visit and eat.
The site’s amenities are basic but spotlessly clean and hygienic and absolutely fine for a simple camping experience.
We were a group of two families with two 13 year old boys who had plenty of room to run around and explore.
The view from this hilltop site was fantastic ranging over wooded areas to Bodiam castle and beyond rising into the distance.
Mellow evenings around the campfire in the quietness of this beautiful rural setting made this a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend.
We hope to return soon.

Damson Fields is a gem of a campsite. Speedy and efficient pre-booking with Lynda and Terry and such a friendly welcome upon arrival from Terry and Nathan.
Easy to pitch, spacious field with camp pitches around the edge of the field, fantastic views, great for star spotting. Fires allowed, logs to buy on site.
Spotlessly clean toilets and a tap for water.
Really relaxing and quiet, amazing walks from the campsite down to the River and Bodiam castle. Rural, rustic, back to basics camping at its very best.
Thanks for perfect weekend. Cath, Giles and Cody.
