This site is spacious with trees for shade at the edges and a great view from the middle. A good sense of space. The facilities are basic but are maintained well, I was prepared for a basic site so nothing was unexpected.

The owners were so friendly/helpful and not intrusive, we received a fire pit along with a bucket of water after purchasing some wood.

I would certainly consider staying there again. And Recommend others to go.

Fantastic rustic site. Amazing views! Terry and Lynda are amazing hosts and anticipate your every need!

It's getting harder and ahrder to find sites that allow open fires, so the fact that Damson Field does is a bonus.

Basic facilities such as water and toilets, but that's all you need. Thank you Terry and Lynda!

Beautiful spot, really kind helpful owners Terry and Lynda. Welcomed us like we were visiting friends rather than checking in at a campsite! For a basic, mown grass site in a beautiful hay field overlooking Bodiam Castle, you cannot beat it.

Facilities (portaloos) were perfectly adequate for our needs and the loading of the campsite. Firepits and wood provided at reasonable price. Plus nice tractor. We wish you every luck in your venture T & L!

We picked Damson Field because it seemed a nice quiet place to start our holiday.

The view from our tent was simply amazing! The area is beautiful and ideal for hikes and day trips to Battle, Rye, Hastings, the Coast Path etc.

Terry and Lynda are wonderful hosts, they provided us with a fire place and wood (and ideas for day trips). We sat with our fire admiring the sunsets (and then turning our heads to see the splendid moon coming up). We used the table under the oak tree to seek refuge from the blazing sun while playing cards.

The facilities are basic, but it was all we needed.

We enjoyed it so much in fact that we stayed for the whole week - something we hardly ever do!

If we are revisiting this region, we will definitely come again!

Me & my girlfriend stayed here, it was a very romantic setting. The sun sets just in front of your pitch, with great hosts happy to help out any way they can. You can see the castle in the distance, overall a beautiful place. We'll be back for sure. Thank you to Terry & Lynda!

We have recently stayed at this campsite and was blown away! The camp was so peaceful and quiet with lots of sun but with shady areas as well. It is perfect if you want to escape for a short holiday. We went on a lovely walk through woodland and in a few minutes we were at Bodiam Castle. Damsen fields is also great as it has clean toilets and you can cook dinner on a roaring campfire. Overall, I’d 100% recommend it to anyone!

We were the first guests ever to stay here, and that was certainly a privilege! It's an absolutely beautiful site, tucked away on a quiet road above a sloping view down to a castle at the foot of the valley. All we had for company were the dragonflies, rare breed sheep, bees, owls, frogs and intrepid crickets that let us know when the sun had come up and it was warm outside. We were also treated to a hot air balloon flying overhead, a spectacular sunset and bonus fireworks in the far distance. It was so beautiful, in fact, that it inspired a proposal! (I said yes!) It was also wonderful to be able to have our little dog with us too, who has not only welcome but very, very reluctant to come home afterward!

As for the hosts, then they were absolutely lovely. Terry and Lynda provided us with a bonus firepit, logs, and firelighters and best of all, bonus loo roll ;)

We hope to go back some day, and to revisit what is now my favourite oak tree in all of England. Thank you for having us!
