I had such a brilliant time at Damson Field.

We had a great fun seeing the local sites and enjoying some time in the sun. The facilities we really clean, and were cleaned regularly.

Terry was a great host and we would definitely be staying here again when visiting East Sussex.

Thanks for a great long weekend!

Throughout the booking process, Terry & Lynda we extremely helpful and informative. When we arrived to the site Terry was very welcoming. We had our choice of a few remaining pitches and being able to drive to the pitch was helpful for unpacking.

The other campers were friendly, tidy and relatively quiet throughout the stay. The site itself has beautiful views over to Bodiam castle, and the centre of the field is left un-tamed with wildflowers and young trees growing.

The facilities are basic (just portaloos and one outdoor tap), but for us that was part of the rustic charm and a small compromise for a peaceful and rustic site.

We found a nice 10km walk from the campsite, taking in the National Trust areas around Bodiam castle and a few pubs.

Would highly recommend.

We loved this campsite and had a very enjoyable stay. Terry and Lynda were friendly and helpful.

The setting for this campsite makes it a great choice for most campers. Facilities are basic but the site is beautiful, peaceful and unspoilt.

It's about a 30 minute walk into Bodiam and down to the river where we went kayaking with Epic Life. Great fun! The Hub cafe there was a welcoming place to stop for an ice-cream.

The footpaths are rather overgrown between the site and Bodiam but we managed to scrape our way through some of the brambles but found walking back along the road easier.

Overall, a great place which we would thoroughly recommend.

Great site, beautiful views. Big pitches, well spaced out. Love the middle of the field being left wild.

Great walks from the site to Bodiam and beyond. Terry and Lynda very welcoming.

Great site, definitely recommend it. Spike and Tracey.

Damson Field is a beautiful little field with a stunning view of Bodium castle and countryside.

We were camped under a massive oak tree, sitting round the provided fire pit.

The owners were really friendly and helpful. We had a great couple of days!

No showers, but the toilets were spotless.

We loved the view and location. To have a castle view down gently sloping hill is quite something!

Everything very easy, clean toilets, and Terry and Lynda extremely welcoming.

Had a lovely walk through the woods to pub lunch near the castle. Great weekend!

This was my second stay at Damson, and it will not be the last.

The site is lovely, overlooking the Rother Valley toward Bodiam. It is truly tranquil here, set back from a quiet road - you would never know it was there - and with good space between pitches, so there is no feeling of being packed in like sardines as there is with some sites.

Terry and Lynda are extremely friendly, and helped us find which local pubs were open and doing food.

I would like to keep this site a secret of my own, but credit where it's due: Terry and Lynda have created the perfect peaceful camping experience - a true asset to the area! : )
