Spent 12 nights on the site and enjoyed every minute spent there. There was a group of 14 of us staying in 3 tents. We were all made very welcome by the owner. We stayed in the cub field which had loads of room for the kids to run around on. We spent many of nights playing cricket, Football and bowls.
The only downside were the toilet facilities were very basic and a little walk of the field but were always kept very clean and tidy.
For the price of £7.50 a night for the 5 of us I think this was the best holiday for value for money.
We went out everyday to different villages. The best was Littlehampton which as a great beach and lots to do the kids loved crabbing and swimming in the sea.
We will be returning to Ecclesden Farm in the future without a doubt.

Lovely peaceful site, although it is just off a fairly busy road & you can hear the traffic depending on the wind direction. We've stayed here four times now over the last 4 years, as a large family group.
It is great for families as the pitches are quite large & well spaced out and there is ample room for the children to run around & play in the middle of the field. We have had many a family game of cricket / football / rounders - the owners are quite relaxed & don't seem to mind you using the space in this way.
There is plenty to do within a short distance of the site - despite being on our fourth year of camping here, we have managed to find new things to do each year.
The only downside is the showers & washing up facilities. The site is expanding, and although the facilities have improved since our first visit, there are just 2 female showers,1 male and 1 washing up sink so there is often a queue and the hot water runs out quite quickly for both showers and washing up.
Still, at £10 per night with hook up, I suppose you can't complain & we will definitely be back next year.

If you choose to stay at this site you need to keep reminding yourself how cheap it is (£7.50 per night, no EHU). Yes it really is basic & I'm afraid it didn't seem very hygienic to me (the elsan disposal point is right against the drinking water tap & the showers had signs warning that the drains can back up). However I didn't have to queue much despite there only being a couple of showers & loos. On the positive side there was plenty of room to pitch wherever you liked. If, like me, you don't camp 'n' cook, try the Lamb Inn, Angmering - fabulous, the best peas I've ever tasted! And do visit Arundel castle, it's quite expensive but well worth it.

We stayed on this site for 7 nights and although a very basic site (only one shower for men and two for women plus a few toilets and wash basins) it is a very quiet site with well cut grass although it is a working farm. Once we paid our £52.50 for two adults there were no extra charges for gazebos or extra cars we were left completely alone by the owners. A good site to which we shall be returning next year.

Fantastic! Camped over for 7 nights, our first full family camp! What can I say very welcoming, toilet blocks and showers were very clean (cleaned at least three times a day). They also have a disabled toilet which is very clean. The pot washing area is always tidy too with plenty of hot water. Alex the owner was very helpful to us as Hubby is in a wheelchair and made sure we were happy with our pitch. Had to swap pitch on the friday as we decided to stop longer and the pitch we were on had already been booked out, but he made sure we were near to the toilet / washing facilities. The site is basic but very nice. It is value for money. Angmering village has a couple of handy shops and a nice chippy. We will endeavour to go back next year and enjoy the views.

We have just returned from 8 nights at Ecclesden Farm and enjoyed every minute of it, even though we had wind, rain and sunshine - and our youngest child broke her arm on the second day! We are a family of five and the children are eight, six and five.
The campsite seems to be popular with weekend campers, but even on a Saturday it didn't feel crowded. Yes, there is sometimes a queue at peak times for the washing up, but for us camping is about not rushing to get chores done. It was really handy to have access to the fridge and freezer for keeping milk & cheese fresh. We never had a problem with food or ice packs going missing either.
The children loved having the freedom to play. Tents are pitched around the edge of the field (pitches are not marked except for those with EHU) giving them plenty of space to run around, play football and fly kites in the centre.
Outside the campsite there is plenty to do. We went to watch the racing at Angmering Oval, walked along the sea front in Bognor Regis (stroll down memory lane!), watched the aircraft at Shoreham and looked at Arundel Castle.
There is a Sainsburys just down the road and a launderette at East Preston which do service washes. We didn't try it on this visit but the Open Air Museum at Goodwood and the Amberley Working Museum are both great for children.
All in all, a lovely campsite with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere which is great value for money. I would recommend it.

This farm site is excellent value, £10 a night for 4 of us with electric hook up, the facilities are basic and clean, there's room for the kids to play in the middle of the pitches.
It was quiet, nice walks and plenty to do, the farmer was around if needed, we will definitely go back, very easy to find too as off the main road, there is some road noise but completely bearable.

Just got back from our trip to Ecclesden Farm. This was our first visit. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We stayed on Cub Field. We thought the site was great. As stated before, toilets are very basic, but what more do you need when camping. These were clean, well stocked with toilet rolls etc. Everything really required to provide personal hygiene. Really could not expect or ask for any more for the prices being charged. There are no restrictions placed on people and the site is in really relaxing quite surroundings with lovely views.

One word- BARGAIN!
We paid just £17 for 2 nights camping, even with 4 kids.
The toilet facilities were very clean. Free hot water for washing up. Payment was very straightforward- there is a shed with envelopes at reception and you just fill it in with your payment and pop it through the letterbox so you don't have to pay up as soon as you arrive.
We were in the cub field which led to a field with goats which my kids loved feeding.
2 pubs within walking distance- not a short walk, but do-able. Both fairly family friendly as long as you are eating.
Caught the train to brighton from the local train station. Train station definitely not within walking distance but has ample park and ride at £3.30 a day.
Will definitely be returning.

Our first visit and we were really impressed. So quiet, and set in beautiful scenery. Spacious level pitches. The facilities were basic but clean and the showers hot. Also there was a washing up sink with hot water. And I should also mention the helpful friendly (presumably) owner we met on arrival.
There's no children's play area but our 5 year old didn't mind as he had plenty of space to run and kick a football.
Within walking distance of Angmering village with two pubs, shops, and fish & chip shop. Took us about 20 minutes to walk to the first pub, and a further 5 minutes into the village centre.
Lots of lovely walks and about a 10 minute drive to the coast.
We definitely hope to return very soon.

Just back from 5 days here.
Good basic and pleasant site just out of Angmering village. We were in the top (Cub?) Field and had a great time. Field is fairly level at the hook-up points with easy access to water and the ablutions blocks. These are basic but more than adequate, with FREE showers.
Excellent area with easy access to Brighton (but take the train not the car!) and Arundel. Also easy for Amberley Chalk Pits Museum.
Would recommend the Villager Inn in Findon for excellent food and atmosphere.

We have stayed on this site on four weekend breaks since October 2008, we find it a great getaway.
It is a lovely peaceful site with good countryside views
There is plenty of room between pitches, we stay in the Cub field where pitches are sited around the edge of the field with trees behind you
There is space for the children to play in the middle of the field
The toilets and showers are basic but clean
You get a lovely hot powerful shower with no pressing buttons
Will be returning again soon

We've just spent the loveliest weekend here, we stayed in the Green Ways field which is huge and perfect for us and our 2 boys and our friend and her 5 year old, all the space they could wish for. The price per night is £7.50 for a unit this surprised us as that's usually per person. The toilet block and showers were perfect, they were kept spotless. We shared the field with 8 other campers and 2 caravans and we didn't hear a thing from them. The site is very well managed and we had a great welcome from the owners cousin and the dogs! There is a covered washing up area with hot water which made the job much easier. The site is very well situated for seeing the area, Arundel is a few miles away and is beautiful and it's castle is impressive. Littlehamptons' sandyish beach is 5 miles away. We will be returning as soon as humanly possible and hope that it doesn't rain all night long like Saturday night!

We visited Ecclesden Farm campsite for the summer half term holiday 09.
We camped in the largest of the three fields, this slopes down hill but there are flat pitches on the edge. We were down towards the bottom of the field as we needed two spaces, our friends arrived the next day.
Beware that the grass is not kept short, well it wasn't when we visited and this meant that we couldn't see the dips, we had a huge dip in the middle of our living area!
The main field is organised so that everyone is around the edge with loads of playing space in the middle. There is no playground as such but the boys loved exploring in the trees, making dens, also they played football etc on the field.
There are only three ladies loos and two showers, the men have only one shower, also there is only one washing up station. This did not bother us as we met so many lovely people and had some good chats. The hot water ran out fairly quickly but it was the bank holiday.
There are well signposted walks directly from the campsite, also we were able to cycle into Angmering Village without too much difficulty. Mind you the main purpose for my bike was to cycle up the hill to the loo!
It's a short car drive to Sainsburys and Angmering Village has a co-op.
We went to Arundel for the day, the castle is well worth a visit with different prices depending whether you want to go inside or not, for children I would recommend the silver price band which allows you into the keep, fab views and interesting history. We also went to Littlehampton, West Beach is lovely but allows dogs, also watch out for the tide, we were caught out as there is no sand when the tide is in.
Yes we would camp here again, it's so cheap at only £7.50 with no hookup however we would camp nearer the top of the field (nearer the loos!)

I have just come back from a fantastic bank holiday weekend at Ecclesden farm. It was our very first camping trip as a family (my husband and I and our six children aged from 1 to 17 and we will definitely return. The owners were friendly and approachable and the on the site there we had a lot of space. The toilet blocks and shower cubicals were clean and how you would expect to find them at a camp site and the water was hot for the showers and washing up area.
