A very good, rural site. Proper farm feel to it, which our three under 6s liked! Walks from the campsite, and close to lots of places.
Nice, flat fields for tent pitching, and all pretty close to the toilet blocks and other facilities (clean, hot water OK!).
We would come again for sure! (Actually, the kids want to move here.)

Really nice campsite very peaceful. We walked over Highdown hill were there is a teashop. You can walk to the Worlds End pub from the site as well. There were only two showers for the ladies and two toilets. This wasn't a problem as the site wasn't busy. We stayed in the electric hook up field which has about 8 hook ups, each pitch was very spacious.
A real back to nature feel and we will be definitely returning

We loved this site, it is basic but that is what camping is all about!
Easy to find, didn't have any problem with the road noise, plenty of level flat areas to pitch on.
Brilliant value- £7.50 for large tent with 2 adults and 3 kids, no extra charges for cars, gazebos etc. We booked 2 family tents on the day, the site was nicely busy with lots of kids for ours to play with, but space was not an issue for anyone. The owner was lovely, very helpful and approachable, pointed us to a couple of fields, but left pitching to our own choice.
Toilets and Showers are basic, everything at eye level is fine, but look up for that authentic outhouse feel, woodlice and spiders included! Other than that they are kept very clean and well stocked for paper towels and loo roll, however the hot water runs out in busy periods.
Lovely 20 minute walk through the fields to Angmering village with good Chip Shop, Co-op (now open 7am to 10pm 7 days) and a couple of nice pubs. Drive through the village another 5 mins for a big Sainsbury's.
Will definitely return and we are recommending to our camper van owning friends as its only £10.50 for the pitch with hookup per night.

We only spent one night here but thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The owners are very welcoming and there is a relaxed feel about the place. Its in a great setting, the local village has takeaways and a shop and Arundel and Littlehampton are only a few miles away.
Despite it being a bank holiday weekend, it was fairly quiet, we had plenty of space to pitch our tent and the children enjoyed running around the field!
The toilet and shower facilities are basic but we didn't find this a problem and I still managed to get a warm shower late morning (ie. After the early morning rush).
There is a sink for washing up and a little shed with information, leaflets and books to borrow which my 2 year old called 'the book shop'!
The prices are very reasonable and we will definitely be returning in the future! :o)

Lovely campsite with some great walks in the surrounding area. The camp is basic but has updated its toilets and showers and also has added a washing up area. Still good value for money and very handy for days out in Arundel and Brighton. The site was fairly busy but still peaceful. Has a lovely book sharing scheme where you can swap your book or borrow one for a small donation.

What a lovely friendly site. We were a group of 4 families including a caravan. Large flat field behind the house space for all. There was a hot water shortage but this would be eased if everyone didn't try to shower at the same time! Toilet block not more than a 2 min walk yet someone in a sports car appeared to be driving there every few minutes!? Great pitch, plenty of space. Lovely fish and chips near by. A great weekend spent, we may well return.

A very cheap site at £7.5o for 2 Adults 1 Child and dog ( without electric )
Owners were very helpful and did not mind us arriving at 9pm on Friday evening.
Showers are lovely and hot early in the morning and quite spacious.
The views are great and we did a very easy walk just behind campsite up onto Highdown hill which is looked after by the National Trust. It only takes about an hour there and back.
Lots of boot sales around the local area.
Shoreham airport is very small and you can easily see planes coming in and out which my 10 year old enjoyed.
No playground but lots of space for ball games.
There are 3 fields to camp on I think the owners choose one for you ? As when we arrived they showed us where to camp in Cottage field.
There is no shop on site and they did not have any Gas for sale. So that was a bit of a problem.
Well we shall return again as we had a great time.

Good over all experience here. Nice and relaxed with relaxed and friendly owners. Placed on a working farm with cows only which did not cause any problems at all. We stayed in plot 13 in a tent close to the toilet block. The only negative thing I would say would be the road noise off the A27 and A280, but that did not bother us.
Site has brand new showers (very powerful)but only one male and one female (more work in progress it seems!)
* Great views and walks around the area * 5 miles from littlehampton and the beach * Great pitches and and level * Great price too, £10 a pitch with electricity!
Overall had a great weekend and will be returning!

Wow, what a lovely site!
We have camped at Ecclesden several times now and we will continue to return.
The owners of this site are lovely and very helpful, if there is a problem (ie - no hot water) if you bring it to there attention it will be rectafied quickly. Even there little grandson is helpful :-), I think as they themselves are caravaners they understand what you need.
There are no formal pitches which is great for finding your perfect space, and they have spare electic leads if yours isnt long enough.
The views and walks are lovely, brilliant for waring out the dogs and children, the now have WiFi (sp?) which was great as DH could keep up with his emails. The local pubs serve excallent food. This is a quiet, beautiful site with basic++ facities, clean and well maintained.
Def worth a visit, and cheap as chips!

This was our 1st time at this campsite, quite a nice site, facilities here ie showers toilets and washing up area's clean but fairly basic, only one male shower and toilet and two for female's, it was best to use showers as early as possible hot water supply not enough if the site is busy. The owners were pleasant enough and always on hand if you needed assistance for anything. Nearby was the village of Angmering which hand a small supermarket, a fish and chip shop an off licence, a newsagents and a pub which served food. As the campsite did not have a lot of things for kids to do Brighton was atleast 3/4hr away. I would come here again just for the peace and quiet this site has to offer.

Spent the first May bank holiday here in our VW campervan. The site is very basic - two ladies loos and showers but I think only one in the men's. Clean enough but no hot water?!
We had booked an electrical hookup but the site we were shown to was out of reach for our 15 meter extension cord so we had to edge our way closer - nobody complained so it must have been ok.
Its about a 15 min walk thru fields into Angmering village. We ate at both the Spotted Cow and The Lamb Inn (excellent food and huge servings). We also walked thru the village to the train station which is another 15-20 mins and caught a train into Brighton for the evening. Its only a £6 return ticket and takes 30 mins.
Although there are a lot of 'public footpath' signs around, there are no hints as to where they lead and often you end up walking parallel to the A280 or the A27, both of which are noisy and not exactly pleasant. If you intend to do some walking in the area, do your research beforehand as there is no info at the camp site to help out.
All in all, a good basic site, friendly enough owners and priced ok at £10 with hookup. Not sure we would return though just through frustration of the local walks.

A lovely little site and very reasonably priced!
We visited for a couple of nights in early May. We were very fortunate to have really gorgeous weather for this relaxing break.
The facilities are basic but functional. The ladies being better off with two showers while the gents had just one. The lack of washing up facilities meant that one gent decided to do his dirty dishes in the one gents shower while my other half was waiting to use it- not very nice! Other than that one incident they were reasonably clean and not busy.
The local area was lovely and the village just a short walk away across the fields. We found a handful of nice pubs, a couple of shops, a chip shop and cute little (very little - room for about 10 people) tapas restaurant.
Great basic site, no frills and very relaxing place :-)

We chose this site because we are on a budget. It proved to be the best value for money ever. The site is well maintained although basic. As well as the toilet / shower block, they have now installed 'portaloos' in each field.
Alex and Andrew go out of thier way to welcome thier guests which makes for a very pleasant atmosphere.
Now for the tourist information stuff. The village of Angmering is about 5 minutes in the car and has all the basic neccessities. There is a Tesco store & petrol station in Durrington (email me for directions - my friend works there so I knew how to find it) and the main town of Worthing is less than 20 minutes away.
Being so close to the junction of the A27 / A24 makes it an excellent base to visit the many attractions in the area. If you decide to drive to Brighton, make sure you use the park and ride at Withdean as city centre parking fees are astronomical!
We made some good friends at this site. It has a warm, friendly feeling which is contagious.
Would we go back? .We did, and plan to go again next year

We visited this site for 5 days during September and thoroughly enjoyed it. As described, the facilities are basic, especially the men's shower. However, we found them to be more than acceptable.
As we stayed nearing the end of the season, there were few campers, so the facilities were not busy. The local village is only a 5 minute drive away and has a Londis shop for basic essentials.
Overall, we found it to be a very pleasant, peaceful site. The price is extremely reasonable and great for those who are on a budget. We would definitely consider visiting again!
