The site was full when we stayed, but did not feel overcrowded. We pitched in the Top Field, furthest away from the excellent new toilet and shower block. There's an older block at this end of the site, which is apparently due for replacement - however, even this facility was a lot more pleasant / clean / functional than what can be found on other sites nearby. All was kept clean and bins were emptied regularly. There was no excessive noise and music was turned off appropriately.

There's also a launderette, a small play area and a reasonable shop down by the entrance; the farmhouse does B&B and offers breakfasts and dinners for campers. You can see the farm animals in the barns and yes they do smell agricultural!

It is an easy walk to the railway station; although you have to walk a short distance beside the main road there are very wide verges and it feels safe with children. The steam train takes you into Swanage - you avoid the cost and hassle of parking, but because of rising fuel costs the fares have just gone up - it's not that cheap an option.

By car, we also visited the lovely sandy Studland Beach (National Trust members park free), had a nice day at Monkey World and went to the Dinosaur Museum in Dorchester (less impressive).

Our only gripe was the Great British Weather .

A very good campsite.

Me and my family stayed here for a week and had a fantastic time. We stayed in the top field which was the windiest and the wind did blow but still didnt spoil our stay. All the facilities were good the toilets closest were old but always clean with plenty of loo roll and hot water there was also a dish washing area with water hotter than mine at home. There was plenty of fresh water taps and rubbish bins around the site which were emptied frequently (only full on the day we arrived)
The camp shop had everything you could need with very friendly staff and if you didnt feel like cooking there is a really good and fair priced takeaway on site.Fantastic shower block, laundrette, dish washing room and play area. So many things to do and see within 15 miles we are coming back next year

What a great place! Our first time camping with the kids (6 yrs & 4 yrs) and we loved it. We stayed on the top field with no electrical hookup as we didn't see a need for electric. The staff are friendly and the amenities are very good. The shower block is quite new and well equipped. There is a family room with Shower, Bath, Sink, Toilet, great for those with young kiddies!
The shop is well stocked with everything you need and is very reasonable. A beautiful setting. It is a working farm so those country smells are present when you are around the immediate area but you couldn't smell much when you are on the top field at all.
The great thing about this is the kids love seeing the farm animals. The site is near the Steam railway which goes down to Swanage. Not a long ride but if you like steam trains.
It was rather windy and rainy while we were there which made us decide to leave a couple days early. A bit muddy at times but not unbearable. The site gave us a refund for the days we did not stay even though it was not their fault about the weather! They asked if everything with site was OK which we confirmed. We will definitely go back. Highly recommended!

This was our second ever camping holiday and was for 3 nights.

After checking in we were shown to our pitch by a lady on a quad bike which was a novelty for us.

We were at the bottom of the top field with EHU and a lovely view. Our pitch was level and it looked like most of the others around us were also reasonably flat.

The toilet block nearest to us was very basic but adequate and with a notice up saying this was soon to be rebuilt. As we haven't been back yet I don't know if this is the case as yet. However the modern toilet block was excellent and we had to walk down to this one to have a shower. The water was hot when I used it and the block was well designed with a central unisex area. Although busy I didn't have to wait to use any of these facilities whenever I needed them.

The play area was also quite small and looked tired and dated but the children seemed to be enjoying themselves on it nonetheless.

Corfe Castle is within walking distance of this site so we enjoyed a walk into the village. We also went on the steam train to Swanage and had a lovely day out. Again Norden station is within easy walking distance but you have to be careful crossing over the busy road to get to it.

The Purbecks are a beautiful place to explore and this site is ideally situated as a base to enjoy this part of Dorset.

This is a working dairy farm so is naturally smelly and as urbanites we were very conscious of the country aromas but this is part of country life and as such no obstacle to staying here.

We enjoyed our stay here and will be happy to visit again sometime soon.

This was our 3rd time at camping. When we arrived we were told to pitch in the top field. We could pitch where we liked in the field and we were told it was a little boggy and it was!. It was raining 3 of the 4 days we were there (maybe some gravel or something would have made it better. The grass was all churned up by all the cars on the entry to the field. Everywhere else on the site was better with gravelly roads)
The new toilet / shower block was lovely although only one hair dryer in the ladies part of the showers really was not enough for the number of people on site. There was even a special pooch shower for the dogs. The toilet block nearer to us was not so nice but it was clean and there was a notice up telling people that it was due to be re built hopefully in time for next season. I hope they plan to put in some more shower blocks there.
The children really liked it on the farm especially when the cows were being taken for milking. We will definitely be back next year. The shop was very good on site with most things that we needed and not too expensive.
We visited Corfe castle and we went on the steam railway to Swanage which was lovely for the children and great for us as we could take our dog. We always find it difficult when we have the dog finding dog friendly attractions. In short this is the best of the 3 campsites that we have been too and was excellent value for money.

This was our second visit to Norden farm and despite the poor weather we had a great time.

We pitched in the top field which is where the majority of tents are - no EHC - you choose where you go, some parts are on small slope.

The toilets in this field are quite old, there are 3 sinks for a quick wash / teeth clean and there is a washing up area too - I noted that there was a sign saying they hope to modernise this block for next year.

The modern block is a few minutes walk away and is fantastic - adequate number of showers and there was always hot water and never a queue despite the site being busy. There are also private sinks to wash in and a hair dryer.

Good shop, lots for the kids to do - animals, playground, fishing pond.

Staff great - we had to leave early as it would not stop raining and we got a full refund for the nights we had not used even though we missed the 10am deadline for notifying them.

The area is lovely and the walk to Corfe Castle is a must. Also the steam train to Swanage is worth a go - then get fish and chips and do some crabbing!

Will definitely go back again - top marks to Norden Farm, it is great site.

We have been coming to this site for around 10 years now and enjoy every visit. We have had a variety of weather over the years but still enjoy the break.

The staff are all lovely and will do what ever they can to help.

The shop is well stocked and very reasonable often you find items cheaper there than in the supermarket.

We really like the garden centre and the garden ornaments, again they are reasonably priced.

Our son enjoys the fishing, he never bought his rod this time but he enjoyed watching others and chatting to them in the evening.

Our daughter made many friends at the park and you could always hear laughter coming from there.

The site is very big and we always choose to stay in the donkey field and are lucky enough to be able to choose our pitch before hand.

The shower block is a huge improvement. As one of us is disabled the disabled shower is perfect and so far have not had to wait to use it. The main showers are great and so far we have always had plenty of hot water, not like the old ones when you had to wait and then the water was cold and not very clean inside. In time we do think that another block will have to be put in up in the pond field as the site is very big.

The working farm scene is great, there are many animals from rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, peacocks, a very old well loved pig, chickens and cows. The new pooch parlour is wonderful for those who have dogs, many people bring there dogs and all seem to behave and most people do pick up the dog mess, although there were a couple of them who never. That is our only grumble about the site is there was dog mess around and some people had trod in it.

We aim to visit this site for many years to come

The prices to stay here are very good, they are still the same at the moment as they were in 2004. We usually visit 3 times a year.

The pitch was not quite level and the aromas were from a farm. That's it for the complaints.

The service was friendly, when I was unwell Cindy came and enquired how I was getting on. Advice was offered about local doctors and the cottage hospital. The shop is well stocked, even Immodium was available, you get the picture here.

When my 250V lead was 2 metres short a spare could be borrowed with deposit.

You can walk to Corfe Castle avoiding the road and a local pub is within walking distance for the more energetic.

The main toilet block was superb and very ecologically sound with auto operation of lights and ventilation. (Yes I used it a lot.)

It would be a long walk from the some of the tent pitches to that block, but another more basic is available.

This site makes a good touring centre, and for more serious shopping Wareham is just a short drive away.

Arrived without booking - no problem staff very obliging, only £14.00 per night for a large tent, two adults and EHU. This is a deceptively large site but split into self contained sections separated by lines of trees so it seems quite cosy. Despite its size the owners manage to preserve a really wonderful family run feel to the place. Our pitch was generous and we had no trouble fitting an Outwell Monatna 6 with front canopy and a Saab 9-5 estate side by side with plenty of room to spare.

The site is well situated about a mile from Corfe Castle and Corfe village. Slightly further afield are Wareham in one direction and Swanage in the other, both are less than a ten minute drive. You're also well positioned for Poole, Weymouth, Lulworth, Portland, the Tank museum at Bovington and the fascinating Monkey World Ape Rescue centre (deservedly labelled as 'Dorset's best day out'). Couple these with the stunning Jurassic Coast, an ample supply of decent pubs and some very lovely countryside, and you wont find it difficult to have a great break using this site as a base.

The facilities in our part of the site (didn't really bother to check elsewhere) were good with a large modern toilet / shower / laundry / washing up block, which, at least on the occasions I used it, remained queue free, so it is clearly adequate for the population of the site even during peak season. This block was also kept clean throughout our stay. There was an unfortunate mains water fault near to the site while we were there which affected the supply of cold water temporarily, but this was thankfully rectified within a few hours and didn't cause too much hardship.
Rubbish and recycling facilities were dotted around the site and serviced regularly so there were never piles of excess trash surrounding them (wish I could say the same for my local recycling centre). Water stations were equally well distributed. The site shop was well stocked with all the usual necessities and had useful opening hours.

Our information pack contained a set of sensible rules which I would have thought perfectly acceptable to any reasonable camper (the usual noise warnings at night, speed limits, etc).

Norden is a working farm and it was very pleasant to be woken each morning by nursing cattle in a shed fairly near our pitch. The accompanying smell was a small price to pay. For those with kids this is in itself good reason to stay at Norden particularly if like us you are city dwellers.

All in all we liked this site a lot and as regular visitors to Monkey World we will be returning to camp here.

We arrived late and easily found someone to show us where to pitch.

The owners and all staff were very helpful and friendly. Site is on a working farm, so be prepared for country smells and animal noises early in the morning. This just made the stay much more interesting. Plenty of animals (of all kinds) for the children to see and the farmer happily let the children stoke and feed the baby ones.

Pitch was plenty large enough. The site is over 4 large fields with many campers. On peak periods this would cause problems in the wash facilities as they were not large enough to cater for so many people and large cues would form as early as 7.30am, the showers too were a little weak, but warm and did the job. We stayed a week before the local children began their summer holidays and so only had problems for the last two days of our stay (when things got really busy), however our Daughter (6 years) had a great time and was never short of friends.

The children's play area was a little old and tired, they didn't seem to mind and would meet there and happily make their own games up.

Dishwashing, washers, driers and ironing facilities were excellent an the best part for me was a special Dog Parlour where I could wash the dog in a warm shower before bringing him home.

Water and rubbish points were handy and the site shop was well stocked and reasonably priced.

Nearest supermarket - Cost cutter was some drive away.

A fantastic walk to Corfe Castle through countryside and woods where there were a few pubs and gift shops.

Local beaches are beautiful and we visited many, could not fault them.

Price was excellent just £16 per night in July for campervan, awning, electric, 2 adults, 1 child and 1 dog.

We had a great time and would go back, not at local peak times though.

Having just returned from Norden Farm where we stayed for 3 nights, firstly, the people who run the site are very friendly and helpful, the shop is very well stocked and very resonable prices, had to buy a new blow up bed and it was well cheaper than I could get it in Swanage.

Secondly we stayed in the top field where you could pitch where you wanted, grass was very long, but if you didn't mind it was ok, the pitches were mostly flat, a few areas were on a slight tilt. The wash room was very old and in much need of an update, hot water seemed to run out quite frequently, but if you wanted to walk to the new block, hot water a plenty.

Lastly, the new shower block, whilst as previously mentioned was very good, you have to remember this is the only block, and it has to deal with 4 big fields, so get up early if you don't want to wait.

All in all a good site if you want to chill or to explore the wonderful countryside, remember to catch the steam train into Swanage nice experience.

We stayed at the site last week for 2 night. The weather was great a little windy but sunny and very nice and warm. The area is fantastic, Corfe castle is a must and the village is lovely too. Everyone in the village is very friendly and the great thing is they love dogs in most of the shops.

The site itself is fine it has 3 fields, a little pricey for camping at £15.00 per night for 2 adults and 2 children. The facilities in field 3 where most of the camping takes place are poor. You have a toilet block with occasional hot running water and no showers. There is also a washing up section to do your dishes and this has constant hot water.Go figure that one out? This all needs updating and showers added to it and it will be a good site. The site does have showers and a family bath area but it is through 3 fields at the entrance where most of the caravans are who don't need it, so in the rain this would be a real pain for people camping, you go shower then trundle all the way back getting dirty again.

We would go back again when the facilities in the top field have been updated. The shop on-site is rather expensive a 1 litre bottle of water costing £1.25 for instance is over the top in our opinion along with 90p for 2 bread rolls. Anyway we don't want to be negative just tell it as we found it.

While we were there we also visited Swanage a very nice town with a great beach as well. If you visit Swanage have plenty of change for parking, the car park works out over 3 pounds for 2 hours. The steam train is fantastic and well worht going on but again very pricey. From Corfe to Swanage 2 stops for 4 of us return was £23.00 I would suggest if your planning to use it go to the website and see if they have any deals on for the summer. I know I have gone on a bit about money but this is important Camping is supposed to be a budget way of getting away and with all the increases in camping fees taking place it is in danger of losing that appeal.

Hope this has been useful.

Choose here due to the good reviews. We went for 5 nights and had a great time. Unfortunately the weather was against us and it rained almost the entire time we were there.(not the sites fault)

Stayed in the top field which has long grass and no particular layout for pitching. The toilet block in this field is rather old but functionable. The new block further down is the best I've ever come across. Free hot showers and no time limit.

The shop sells everything including tent spares and accessories, also have ice blocks on hire for your cool boxes reasonable at 25p each.

The owners were very helpful and willing to give reccomendations for the local area. Places to go etc.

If your looking for entertainment and club houses this is not the place for you, however I cant reccomend it highly enough if your wanting fantastic views, peace and quite and to just chill out.

Very good rates. Cant wait to return.

We visited this site last summer on what turned out to be one of the hottest weeks of the year, lucky us! We were in the 'top' field and found it to be spacious and quiet. The site in general was lovely, not as 'polished' as some but it is a working farm so its to be expected. The toilet facilities in the 'main' area were modern and clean. The ones near to our tent were in need of updating but this didn't spoil our experience. There was some nice walks up to the hills which we enjoyed. In nearby corfe we went to a murder mystery night which was much fun. The shop on site stocked very tasty bacon and free range eggs. Perfect to wake up to each morning. Would definitely visit again. Recommended.

We absolutely loved this campsite, We arrived the end of June and were told we could pitch up anywhere, we chose a great spot at the far end of the last field, next to the cow field, the dogs were able to run around and there were a number of footpaths leading off from the field. The toilet block was always clean with an added bonus of a doggie shower.

The campsite is in a great location next to corfe castle, which you can see from their tea room garden also lovely!

The campsite is on a working farm and when we visited there were calves and lambs and also a small petting area with rabbits etc. Which is great for children. We will definitely be returning again soon!
