 The location of Orchard campsite was great. It’s only 10 minutes to walk into the centre of town where you can find most amenities you might need.
There’s an excellent Indian restaurant there also, ten out ten for that. The staff (at the campsite) were friendly and gave a lot of local advice which was very handy.
The site is very pretty and open whilst also enjoys lots of trees if you want that sort of pitch. Flexible check in check out was very handy. So for all of the foregoing, no fault at all.
However, the toilet and shower facilities are a bit limited to be honest. There were only 2 showers for men or women whereas women also had a separate 3 showers to use.
The toilets were often left unclean and 1 had a broken toilet seat so was unusable for the time we were there. Also one of the separate urinals was blocked for the whole period we stayed there.
The toilet/ facilities area could really do with updating and perhaps a separate facilities block could be added across the other side of the main field. I can imagine that at a busy time, using the facilities would include quite a bit of waiting.
Another slight downside was the noise from the A12. It’s busy road and quite close so you can hear the traffic most of the day.
To finish on a positive note, we did enjoy our time there.

We come back to this site many times it is friendly, lovely area,
Well kept grounds and the kids always want to come back here.
The site is accommodating to different party sizes and adaptive needs.

What a great find! This site is so relaxed and far from some of the larger campsite organisations with their restricting rules etc.
We were able to have a camp fire for starters which is what camping is about! However rarely allowed.
The facilities were great and the shop very well stocked. This campsite is for everyone! You can pick your own space on a massive piece of land by the river.
It’s one of the best sites we have stayed. The staff were pleasant and helpful and we will 100% recommend and stay again.
Also excellent value for money and no strict check in check out just totally relaxed which is what camping should be!

The relaxed, friendly feel of the site was very nice. Large pitches, no stress about arriving or departing times, we’ll stocked shop with helpful staff.
Loads to do for all ages, had a very relaxing time and will definitely be coming back, with my older children and partners with n tow.

Stayed at The Orchard a few times before and was just as good this time,
Friendly and safe campsite with relaxed rules which is what camping should be about,

The orchard campsite is a lovely place to go for young and old.
Lovely views and walks along the river.
And good facilities which are kept clean at all times.

Alan and his team are very welcoming and helpful.
The campsite is super clean and has lots to offer for food.
There are local shops nearby and sites to visit.
I totally recommend Orchard Campsite for anyone with family and or friends

Relaxed campsite with good facilities in a great location with lovely people.
Short walk to the centre of Wickham Market with a Co-Op, butchers and a choice of takeaways.
25 minute drive to Aldeburgh and Thorpeness.
All together a good place to camp.

Ideal location, relaxed atmosphere and everything you are likely to need available from the on site shop.
Showers a good temperature and powerful. Ample toilets and due to covid cleaning solution was available which I actually liked as we could clean before and after using toilets and sinks.
Campfires on site- who doesn't like sitting around the fire of an evening and if you don't feel like cooking there are local takeaways that also deliver to the site.
We enjoyed it so much we were able to extend our stay an extra day and will be returning in the future.

This campsite was absolutely amazing, we had a lovely and comfortable time there.
Lots of wildlife by the river, beautiful surroundings, and the shop is GREAT (kudos for stocking vegan food!).
Toilets and showers were well looked after.
Owners were lovely and helpful too,
We will definitely be returning.

Fantastic site, all amenities good.

The campsite was extremely pretty. Great space for groups to meet up.
Alan the owner was very friendly and very funny, and was incredibly generous giving out free glow sticks to all the kids on Saturday night. Loads of fun!
We will definitely return.

What a lovely site with many different areas to pitch.
Facilities were good and the owner most helpful.

This campsite is incredibly beautiful and right by the sea, it has clean toilets that are regularly cleaned and hot water to shower.
It was easily accessible and the staff were extremely kind when checking us in.
We will definitely be returning for a longer camping trip and swim!
