A splendid site in a beautiful part of Wales. In the Orchard our FSP was private, well screened, and well appointed.
Superb facilities.
Bus stop just beyond the gates.
Decent small shop. The Monmouth and Brecon Canal is next door for some great walks to Tally Bont and Brecon.
Very reasonably priced. One for a return visit

Very nice site, pitches separated by hedges.
Single toilet / shower block kept very clean with good showers, indoor washing up area with plenty of hot water.
Friendly and helpful staff. Some good walks from the site.
Local pub Royal Oak 100m down the road does good food.

Outstanding site. Excellent, clean facilities.
Nice nearby pub and easy access to Brecon and Talybont by road, bike or walking.
Likewise, hill walks.
We'd use this site again like a shot!

We loved everything about this site! We arrived after 6pm and were delighted to find a note on the reception door telling us where our pitch was.
All the pitches looked attractive, with hedges around each one and a little private bit of lawn behind ours.
The amenities were extensive - lots of individual rooms for things like drying your wet clothes, or a very useful information point, as well as the usual washing up area, fridges, freezers, loos, showers, chemical disposal point, recycling area, etc. All spotlessly clean.
There are 3 fields, so plenty of room. Like almost everyone else, we were in the field closest to reception and amenities but it didn't feel crowded at all.
It is not the cheapest campsite but it is nicely gardened, and nicely laid out. Everything is well cared for and well organised.
We would definitely stay here again.

We arrived late and we were unsure of the protocol. Once we found out what to do and found the warden she was most helpful and access was easy.
There’s a lovely little park by the toilet block and our little girl loved the deer that were in the paddock next to it.
The toilet block was clean and warm, however the showers could be better- having to press the button constantly throughout the shower is not fun! I’ve never been in a shower with such a short time in between pushes.
The pitch was lovely, clean, flat and well kept. Even in the middle of school holidays the site was quiet with no real noise after 9pm.
It would’ve been helpful to note where to get water/ dispose of rubbish and waste on the map.
Overall we had a lovely stay, the site is in a good position with access to lots of points of interest that are within a short drive. There is also a pub and a footpath along the canal that are within walking distance.
We would definitely book here again.

Entrance into the site well signposted & staff very welcoming & friendly on arrival.
The whole campsite & facilities are immaculate obviously well looked after. Reasonably priced too. NO DOGS allowed. Good play park for children to play,
Free wi-fi. At the site entrance there's a bus going to Brecon town / Abergavenny. Very close to the canal path entrance too, beautiful walks saw lots of narrow boats.
Takes an hour to walk to Brecon in one direction & equal time to Talybont other direction.
Really nice site for the whole family shame no pets allowed.

We were very pleased and impressed with the family who own this site - it is obvious that 110% effort has been put in over the years of their ownership.
The site is immaculate, customer service excellent, thank you for a great stay.
I can also add that the location is very good for walking and cycling as we are motorhome owners, arrive at a site and do not drive out on day trips.
Local pub food can be recommended with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Lovely site, immaculately kept and very friendly welcome from reception staff.
We stayed in the meadow (mostly flat pitches although a few sloping). Mostly young families or active (cyclist, touring or motorbike) couples and groups.
There is no electric in the meadow however there are plenty of serviced pitches in the other fields, and pitches are divided with hedges (sizes differ greatly so be accurate in what you need when booking).
Shower block has about six of each showers, wash cubicles and toilets. Sadly no plugs for hair dryers! a small laundry and drying room were spotlessly kept as was the information room (which ahs several fridges and freezers to use.
Site is visited by a Pizza van Tuesday and Friday (didn't try so cant comment on quality). A play park for younger children is behind reception, and appeared well kept and safe.
Just a few metres away is a lovely little pub, serving typical english fayre. If you access the canal (just outside the entrance) a walk of about 30 minutes away is Tal-y-Bont with a further two pubs and post office/shop.

This site is managed very well, the facilities are excellent and clean
Plus the site shop stocks the essentials.
The grounds are well kept with lush grass, and there's an abundance of shrubs and trees.
A canal runs along side the site, and it's a short walk to a pub.
It's a great base for outdoor activities, and site seeing.
Don't take my word for it - see for yourself.

As other reviews have said, this is a lovely site which is very well maintained.
Staff couldn’t be more helpful; my Calor ran out half way through cooking dinner at 7pm! Although the shop was long closed by that point, the staff team couldn’t have been more happy to help me out and so I could finish cooking dinner.
You can cycle for miles along the nearby canal and walking up to fan-y-big was amazing.
The Royal Oak pub is 5/10 minute walk away and serves some truly delicious food.
We had a lovely time here and very much looking forward to returning in the future.
I marked the location as ‘9’ only because it was a very long walk to and from the local peaks. If we’d had a car it might have been better to drive part of the way so we could have maximised out time walking the peaks.

This is a beautiful and well run site.
The pitches are well laid out and large. The facilities are second to none. Everything was well maintained and clean. The grounds and surrounding scenery are stunning.
We found it very peaceful and quiet and wish we could have had longer there.
Unfortunately we had to leave early due to illness but the site receptionist could not have been more helpful. It made a bad situation much easier to deal with.

What an amazing site. So beautiful with well laid out pitches. Not cramped and very well kept.
Obviously we couldn’t use the facilities or shop due to the COVID restrictions but it didn’t hamper us at all.
We had lovely cycle rides on the very near by Brecon Canal towpaths. 2 miles to Talybont then you can go on to Crickhowell and 5 miles the other way to Brecon.
Lots of lovely narrow boats to see and wildlife in abundance. It will be great when the nearby pubs and eateries are reopen.
Very atmospheric in a very historical area. We will be booking here regularly. Lovely people and a quiet site.
