Just got back from a great weekend away.
As per all the other reports, site was lovely. The toilet block was well positioned on the site, and was kept really clean.
We also visited the local pub and again can recommend highly.
Overall a lovely campsite in a great setting. I would have no hesitation in recommending this site to other campers.

We held a Meet here and what a place to meet! Fantastic site, great owners and absolutely stunning scenery! The site's close to the market town of Settle, where there's supermarkets, shops and a couple of garages etc.
The road leading to site can be a bit 'hairy' if you meet an artic coming the other way! As others have said, the river's a brilliant place for some fun in and on the water! Stunning waterfalls with plunge pools. The weather was warm & sunny enough for some brave(?) souls to take a dip while we were here! All the facilities on site were modern, spotless and a pleasure to use. There's a nice kiddies playground right by the large amenities block too. The rally field was in tip-top condition, with quite a few ehu's dotted around the edges.
There wasn't a single thing that we could find to complain about with Knights, and we'd love to return one day. This is a first class site, run by caravanners/campers. They know what we like, and it was an absolute pleasure to stay here. Brilliant!

This site is in a beautiful rural valley, with a river that runs through it. It is very well maintained, with high standards of cleanliness, and an excellent facilities block providing toilets, free hot showers, a pot-washing room and a laundry room. The site was fully booked but there were no queues for facilities at any time. There is a children's play area and games room, plus loads of space for ball games etc. There is a pub that does food in Stainforth (10 min walk) which fellow campers said was good. Settle is a 3 mile level walk along the riverside, and has shops, cafes, pubs and a tourist information office. It's in an excellent area for the walking country of the Dales and many other attractions.
All in all, a superb site, run by friendly and helpful folks, which would suit families or any campers wanting a good base for a walking holiday. We will definitely visit again.

This is a great site - I agree with all the previous reviewers. The river and waterfalls are stunning, we even had the warmest September day on record - apparently! I have absolutely no complaints about the site whatsoever. There's even a nice pub about 15 mins walk over the bridge - didn't try the food though. Highly recommend.

What a beautiful place,if you like stunning scenery and walking this place is a second heaven. Toilets and showers very clean and heated,free hot water so no need for coins.Good laundry facilities with washers dryers and ironing. New playground and games room with pool and t.v for kids. Owners very nice and helpful,small shop with basics. Telephone box handy as we couldn't get a signal for our mobile. The waterfall and riverside walks are great and the fall was in full spate and quite spectacular whilst we were there. We will definately be going back, its the best stress buster ever.

Our first camping experience for 6 years was great . The site is surrounded by lovely countryside with a fantastic fast flowing river 100 yards from the pitching areas. The kids loved the play area. The loos and showers were very clean and warm although the water could have been a little warmer.There is a decent pub called the Craven heifer 10 minutes walk from site in Stainforth which welcomes kids up to 9.00pm.The best pub we found was the Harts head Hotel in Giggleswick (2miles from site) the food here was home cooked and very good.

This was our first ever camping holiday
and was a very enjoyable stay,
the facilities were brilliant,shower blocks,toilets and washing areas vv clean,.
On site shop very handy,games room on site was ideal for the children also the play area for the younger children was very good, easy to see the children playing.
Staff very friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble for them.

Spent an idilic week at this site. It's 2 miles north of Settle in a secluded spot. Security is good, with a swipe card barrier system. Kids play area is quite new, and well equipped. The newish toilet blocks are nice, but not the cleanest we've seen. Recommended!

New shower/toilet blocks just being completed the weekend we stayed - looked great. Washing up indoor in large deep sinks, plenty hot water!
Play area popular with the children, walks by the river but beware dangerous too so don't let children unsupervised!
Camping field flat and open with great views around. Would definitely stay again, have tried to book already once without success...... they were already fully booked. Says it all really..... boo hoo!

One of the best sites we have been to. Owners and staff very fiendly and helpful. Children loved the river and play area. We found the showers just the right temperature for the children. Will be going back soon.

Really impressed with this site. Toilet, shower, laundry and washing up facilities are 2nd to none. The staff are friendly and helpful and the kids loved the games room and especially the river and waterfall that run across the bottom of the site.
We'll definately be returning in the coming weeks.

Early May Bank Holiday 2004
Just returned from this campsite. We LOVED it! Friendly owners, great facilities (though shower only lukewarm when busy, so try and get in early - or late!), and fellow campers seemed very respectful of rules (distance between tents, keep noise to minimum etc). Kids and pets also seemed much better behaved than in other campsites we've been to!
The scenery around the site is lovely and it's in a great location, within easy reach of great walks. Don't miss Gordale Scar and the view from the top of Malham Cove!
Agree with comment above re danger near the river, no warning signs and sheer drop to deep water right behind campsite, so keep a close eye on your little ones.
Also don't forget insect repellant as there's loads of midges due to proximity to water. Didn't have problems on the site but bumped into quite a few when we went for a walk downstream!

Wow! what a fab site, great sized pitches, new super toilet, shower, dish washing block kept v.v.clean (£10 deposit for key) showers free but go early if you like them hot. TV/games room and basic shop, newspapers to order.
Beautiful scenery the river Ribble and Stainforth Force are at the bottom of the site, a real beauty spot. Childrens play area looks new.
We feel we have been spoilt and will find it hard to find a site that will be as good as this, so good we re-booked to go back again in August.

Good site in a perfect location for walking the Dales. Toilets and showers are clean but if you want to be sure you get a warm shower get in early! Lots of space and good play area if you have kids. If you need to stock up on food the supermarket in Settle is the best supermarket I've been to, lots of fresh produce.

Fanstastic toilet, shower and laundry facilities, all were very clean. The kids really enjoyed the play area and games room.
The owners are great and very helpful.
This is an ideal base for the 3 peaks, Hawes, Aysgarth etc.
Will definately return (in warmer weather) after spending a few days consisting of rain hailstone, rain, snow, rain.. sleet.. rain.. wind.. rain..oh and did I mention the rain!!
