The online booking system for bowling, restaurant and swimming wasn't working so had to try several times to get in swimming

Had to go up on the hour on the hope someone's didn't turn up. It should be if you have booked for 3 nights you should get allocated spaces for this and if you are unable to attend then it's changed on site.

We loved camping in Freshwater Beach, spotless facilities, clean and spacious toilets and showers, plenty for everyone.

Swimming pool indoor and outdoor were really nice and fun for families with children, the park for kids was a bit small for this big camping site, nice private beach but dangerous for children and even for adults.

In general we had a great time and we do recommend Freshwater Beach and we will definitely go back.

Great BH weekend at this site. Fabulous location. Was really impressed with cleanliness of showers/ toilets.

Ate in the bar and food reasonably priced and lovely

Spacious pitches, really friendly staff, would definitely come back

The site was kept immaculate with grass being mown, rubbish picked up, bins emptied regularly. Staff polite and helpful. Access roads could be wider for size of units. We used our own facilities so canít comment on those. It was very much a family oriented site.

I am disabled so the beach was difficult for me to access - a type of board walk onto the beach would have been helpful. We were on a fully serviced pitch with water, electric & waste but for other pitches the water and waste was quite scarce.

Obviously lots of facilities were restricted because of covid 19 & therefore it was quite expensive.

Free WiFi was a bonus

Fantastic site with well maintained facilities, however unable to manage loud and drunk guests partying until 4am.

Private Beach clean and tidy and overall had a great time, shame that little things let it down.

Awful. Social distancing did not exist here. The management changed their policy mid holiday without informing campers - Every pitch was in use. Packed in like sardines!

They did not increase the cleaning due to the increase in campers and this resulted in dirty facilities we would not want to use, especially during the covid 19 pandemic.

The ĎManagerí was calling me back on Wednesday but I still havenít received a call 5 days later! We left early due to concerns about safety.

The site felt very safe and clean.

Toilets and showers were spotless. Lots of hand gel everywhere.

Only 50% of the pitches are being used as a result of COVID so lots of space and easy to social distance.

Staff were very helpful.

Yes it is a bit on the expensive side and yes it is a big commercial site but if you can get round these points I have to say itís one of the nicest sites we have stayed on. The site is on the lovely Dorset. Coast and has the added benefit of a few minutes walk straight onto its own beach.

Pitches are a good size, clearly marked and staff come round on the day of your arrival to check you are all pitched ok within your boundaries. They were very helpful when we asked to pitch slightly different to Ďthe rulesí as our son was on the next pitch.

Lovely clean toilet and showers. The cleaners were constantly working hard to ensure they were up to standard. Shop was well stocked and reasonable prices. Lovely food in the restaurant, good sized portions, always hot, and a good selection of dishes.

Evening entertainment mainly catered for children and was typical holiday camp style. Both indoor and outside swimming pools. Both kept very clean and tidy with ample lifeguards on duty.

Just one point which drops the overall rating is the main road through the site splits the camping field from the facilities making it very dangerous to get from one part to the other. Unfortunately the speed rules are completely ignored by many of the drivers.

2nd visit to this site and not disappointed. Plenty of space, huge pitches, clean facilities and a very well stocked shop including freshly baked bread products and daily newspapers.

Three routes to walk into West Bay so plenty of exercise available only to be negated by the amount you're likely to eat when you get there.

There is a bar that serves food and we were pleasantly surprised by how good it was.

Criticism: When booking I said I felt the price was a bit high but was told that the site provided evening entertainment, fair enough except that there isn't until the season is in full swing hence 8 out of 10 for value.

We thoroughly recommend this site and will visit again.
