Really nice site - large, but quiet. Great facilities, although the showers were a bit grim. There was a mop to use, but the bucket of water looked (and smelt) like it hadn't been refreshed for days.
The staff were very helpful, even allowing us to move pitches when we had a problem with ours (it's worth noting that some of the EHUs are a fair way from the pitch - we had a 15m cable which wasn't long enough for the pitch we were on initially)
The site is in a great location, and is very quiet, with no traffic noise. You can walk from the site into the local village. There's a little stream running through the site, and when we were there, there were several ducks with babies.
There are also a lot of rabbits running around at night, which was lovely to see. Unfortunately, there are also a lot of wood pigeons around too, which are incessant with their cooing!

Our second time here. What a fantastic site - great toilet and shower block: spotless clean.
It's a big site but doesn't feel crowded, even though it seemed full on this hot summer weekend.
A purpose designed dog walk is a great bonus.
Only a short walk into Wooler which is a lovely little market town with plenty of cafes and a couple of supermarkets.
We'll definitely be back.
Oh, the only slight downside is no on-site wi-fi but the signal is strong on 4G - I don't have 5G so I can't speak for that.

Great campsite, brilliant location for a stroll into town for drinks/food, after a day of walking.
Large site with lots of pitches but toilet/showers always available, not busy.
EHU quite a way from our tent but luckily we were able to hire an extension from park.
Ducks roaming freely which did mean we had to eat breakfast in our porch with door zipped closed to keep them out but we were in their environment, so can't complain. They even ate our dogs food from his bowl and stole bacon out of the pan but it all added to the experience 😂

We stayed for one night, testing out our new campervan before a full week away. It was a fantastic find. Well organised, friendly, clean and tidy.
Walking distance to Wooler with some great walking up into the hills behind. Homildon Hill is a must!
Would recommend this site to all, and the price is unbelievably competitive.

Our second time staying at this campsite and we shall return.
Good facilities, well maintained, excellent location, just a 10 min public footpath walk to the lovely town of Wooler.
We love the ducks!

A lovely site in a great location.
Easy walk into town with a variety of independent shops, a well stocked coop and lots of options for food.
Generously sized pitches. We had a pitch between 2 hedges which gave some welcome shade.
Plenty of hot water for washing up and showers.
Manager regularly around the site cleaning and mowing.
Ice block freezing is available at reception or by asking the manager when he's around but it would be helpful to have a freezer for ice blocks in the laundry room.
I asked whether a late checkout would be possible and was told it was but we would have to pay for a full extra day.
Would definitely come back on future visits to the area.

On arrival we phoned at reception, as instructed in booking confirmation. Lady answered straight away and told us to go through barrier and her husband would meet us in a couple of minutes and show us to pitch.
(Pitches are pre allocated, no choice so worth noting on booking if you prefer sunny or shady pitch as some were in total shade.
We were pitched up within minutes, Friendly and informative gent gave us all relevant information.
Campsite is very well kept with well cut grass. Pitches are slightly sloping so need levellers. Plenty of water taps dotted around. Bins at facilities block - overflowing.
Reception remained closed, you ring the campsite number if you need anything. The cafe/ice cream shop was also closed throughout our stay
Our only negative would be the muscovy Ducks. They were at the door non stop. Our dog was freaked out by them so it was quite difficult trying to sit outside.
The problem is many campers feed the Ducks so they believe any food is theirs for the taking
We couldn't eat outside or feed the dog outside which was really frustrating in glorious weather.
At £25 per night including ehu and showers it's a bargain for sure if in the area we would probably use again.

Had a few one night stays at this campsite over the years, as a stopover on my way to Scotland.
As ever, the site has everything I need, a good pitch, good bathroom facilities, nice hot showers, and a short walk into Wooler High Street for refreshments at The Black Bull (other pubs /restaurants /cafes are available).

We loved this campsite. Small but with well sized, clean facilities. Very helpful, friendly staff.
Fabulous location, just a 10 minute walk to the lovely little town of Wooler. Beaches approx 30 minutes away.
We shall definitely be returning. Loved the campsite ducks that patrolled around.
If I had one very small complaint, it would be the whirring sound of the turbine through the night.

2nd visit which speaks for itself.
A generally quiet site, good facilities.
Within easy drive of the coast and many points of interest.
Shown to the relevant pitch and water and hook ups local to the pitch.

This site was half the price of some we looked at on the coast but still within easy reach of everything we wanted to do - Bamburgh castle, Farne Islands, Lindisfarne and Alnwick.
Beautiful location and very peaceful, loved having the ducks/ducklings wandering around and the facilities were great and always clean.
Easy walk into Wooler for supplies from the Co-op and we had a delicious meal at The Anchor pub.
Would highly recommend this site.

Large busy site, well-run, clean facilities.
I was allocated an unsuitable pitch at first - almost bare of grass - but they swapped me when I asked. The rest of the site has lovely grass!
The site was full but it was quiet after 10ish.
Wooler is a lovely little town with several cafes, a couple of small supermarkets and excellent ice-cream at the Milk Bar.
